I absolutely love Passion! At first I was unsure about how Passion would sound translated... And Sanctuary is alright, but I think they should stick the a closer translation. It's still a good song, but I don't think the lyrics are poetic, like Passion. It's still cool though! I love singing Passion. heart

mmm Sactuary was better...Passion was no where near as good as simple and clean...but i guess it's not that bad...

i love passion!!! in the beginning of the game i didnt like it that much but in the end...i understood it more! its such a beautiful song!!!

Haha. I must be one of those few who likes Sanctuary more than Passion. It's just the musicality of the lyrics that gets me. x3
I'm curious so I'll throw this out there. Has anyone noticed the japanese lyrics in Sanctuary? It's a little odd considering that Simple and Clean was also entirely in English... then I found this out:
The lyrics heard many times throughout the song, "Wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen i", is in fact not Japanese, but English. It is actually "I need more affection than you know" but it's backwards. I found this AMAZINGLY cool. The chorus of the song is also freakingly hard to undersand except for "My heart's a battleground". That too, is backwards. It reads like this:
Snwod dna spu ynam os, (So many ups and downs)
My heart's a battleground.
Noitmoe eurt deen I, (I need true emotion)
Wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen i, (I need more affection than you know.)
Noitmoe eurt deen I. (I need true emotion)
Thought I'd throw out that tidbit of info for everyone. x3

Yep! The background lyrics are really cool. xD I've been wondering what the new subliminal messages were in Sanctuary, thanks! n_n
Sanctuary grew on me.. alot. While I was sewing, I had an old CD with Passion on it, it felt kind of strange to listen to it again.

Heero-perfectsolider-yuy animania222 ahhh the engish vesion of passion sounds strange cause she streaches out the words a lot ...i personally like passion,hikari &simple and clean better 3nodding yeah, I find the english version.. foreign to my ears. i've been listening to the japanese version the whole time so i'm use to it and now the english version is finally coming out and it just sounds so awkward to me. sweatdrop EDIT: you beat me to talking about the english version opening... I just saw it was like I must say something xd I still prefer Passion over Sanctuary. ooh, I can't wait to play the game now that its out heart heart heart heart heart Same here.I like passion than Sanctuary.I was use to listening to pasion all the time.I love Hikari,and simple and clean too.Go hikki!! heart

When I first saw the opening video with the song Passion playing, I found it to be really touching. The transitions from scene to scene matched the flow of the music so well. The song has a very ethereal feel to it in my opinion, with all the English segments played in reverse sounding like some ancient language, and the very harmonious instrumental sounds.
When I first heard Sanctuary, I thought it just sounded a bit strained the way the English words were stretched compared to the longer syllables the Japanese words have. I'm still more in favor of Passion, but I have always admired Utaka Hikaru's singing ability in both languages.

Passion by utada hikaru is absolutely beautiful and so so simple. It's just amazing. I never get tired of that song.

I really enjoy both songs but sactuary is definetley my favorite i ahve youtube minumized and im listening to it right now! I really want this video on my profile, but i cant figure out how, i id all of the tektek stuff i even submitted it, but i still dont no weer it went, can ne 1 help- me oout?
