"you have given me literal textbook defenitions. nature vs nurture is the debate rageing throughout the world. nature is your dna, what nothing more than the chromasones of your parents have made you. nurture is the enviroment and it's effect on you. the debate is on what is more prevelant in the developement of a human. do i drink because my daddy was an alcoholic and i got his dna? or is it because i watched him drink and subconciosly believed it was ok. the world within you vs the world around you."

he mumbled something about vodka under his breath, and needing more of it.
"nature is what your born with. nurture is what the world made you. do you think we are innately controlled by the dna in our cells, or does our free will allow us to change who we are. is a rapist driven by a "rape gene" that makes him need to do it? or is it his choice driven by what he has seen or experianced?"

Ara's eye's widened when he talked about the rapist part. She stood there in shock as the memories flooded into her mind. From not wanting to remember she grabed her head and tried to push them back.

being a psychology prof, nial noticed the girl's response to the question. he quickly changed the subject.
"the ultimate question is basically a scientific kind of 'fate vs free will.' do we do what we were born to, or what we were made to."
as he walked, he stumbled over his own chair and righted himself. "just testing gravity. yes. it still works. see you next class, Ara, please stay a moment"
the bell rang and the confused kids scrambled out of the crampt room.
he sat down next to ara as close as her "safe distance" thing would do.
"im worried about you. im sorry to say, but sex is a big part of this class. i wont try to pull the information you hide out of you. i just want you to know you have a listening ear and an accepting heart waiting for you. i never judge. i never scorn. is there anything you would like to say?"

Ara dint know if she should show him her mark or not. but if he knew then maybe he would help her and have her leave the classroom when they talk about sex. She took a deep breath and turned around she undid her shirt and showed her mark on her back.

though his face was expressionless, his thoughts were reeling.
he handed her a card and a small can.
"this is my living area of the campus. the can is pepper spray. i know how hard it is to trust after something like this. as soon as i do something that makes you feel uncomfertable, empty the can into my eyes. though i assure you, it wont be neccesary.carry it with you at all times. i will meet you saturday at noon."
he left the room at that point. he knew the culprit. not personally, but he will not hide.

Ara was confused. Why would he want to meet her but she guessed that the pepper spray might help. She really wished she could meet the person who saved her. She thought about unicorns while walking to Miss Smiths class.

Max walked in to his twins class, sitting in a back row seat he staeted to dose off."Max wake up" Susan said hitind her brother in the back of his head so he would wake up."Fine just don't be so mean" Max grumbled as Susan started to walk to her desk.

niles pulled out a 6 ounce hip flask from his pocket and sat next to the phone. he made some calls, and found out that the criminal he sought was released on a false warrent but under house arrest. plans formed in his mind.
