I agree with you Manda, I don't want to use Gaia as a theme either. As for the list of servers, we're stuck for now.

But what I wanted to accomplish now is a good list of dedicated people that are VERY sure they are going to get FF14 and would like to stick together once the game starts.

On the topic making names for our LS or Guild, posting as many ideas as possible now will help us make a final decision later. Also, over the course of the following months until the game comes out, we'll see who stays serious and who wanders away. I'm not saying that is a bad think, cause we can always make a comeback.

There is one new piece of info I'd like to share with you guys now so you can think about it as the months pass: I have a friend that is one of those PROFESSIONAL WOW players and he's played just about every MMO that's ever been made. He still plays WOW and he's also doing AION right now. Anyway, he's a pro at MMOs and just as I am meeting you guys here on Gaia to form a group so that we can all play together, I've been doing the same thing with him.

He and I have a list of about 20 names of people we know well that are HIGHLY interested in grouping up once the game comes out. So whatever path my friend and I decide to take, is the path that I'm going to follow, and I hope you all want to come with. I'll keep you posted on every important detail that he and I discuss, but for now there's not much to say other than what I already said. ^^

It always seems to be easier to play with people you already know or something rather than trying to solo. I've got a few RL people wanting to all play.

And as far as the name I'm not a fan of "Gaia" or anything like that.

The3Vintage3Imag3 That sounds fun, having 20 people already haha let me know what's up maybe my little group can join yours. A few of them are sort of picky (wanting to play wow and stuff or w/e or giving up because of the cost) so not sure what numbers I'm looking at right now.

But ya... my sister and I already have opted to be the Mithra cat women. I played an Elvaan for three years pretty tired of it and she was a tarutaru. xD Gotta get on something new. smile I'm just assuming it'll put you in whatever city your race is familiar too and you'll have to level a bit to join others.

If its anything like xi you should be able to have multiple linkshells. but who knows if this will be possible but if it is we can make two of them...
one just for people who are on gaia and another that anyone can join but was still created here.
The one thats just a bunch of people can be named whatever. while the one just full of people from gaia is named something gaia related.

Or you could also make multiple characters. I'll most likely have two characters. My mage/healer will be a lalafell. while my fighter (not sure what job yet) will be a Mi'qote or Elezen.

So it seem that we all have other friends IRL that we're planning on playing with first, this doesn't surprise me cause of course we'd rather go with our friends lol.

In the event, however, that we do team up somehow (maybe our real friends will agree to follow this gaia movement? lol), this looks like the start of a strong group that we're starting now. ^^

I just wish they would release the game already. Is it still set for the end of this year?

I think ill change the name of this thread a little since we've expanded the topic of conversation; it'd be nice to have the servers, link shell, and city state conversations here.
