She had half of a mind to leave her partner and allow him to drink himself to death. She could use the payment for herself, and might have taken it if she thought she could do it alone. But she needed the b*****d and his braun to successfully complete the mission. For this reason, she followed him into the bar, looking extremely out of place in her elegant garb.
"What the hell are you doing!? We have a mission to complete and a fee to collect. There is no damn way we can afford for you to have another drink, let alone ruin this. You can drink once we have safetly escorted the senator."
Kelen gritted her teeth in frustation, her body hovering just behind her partner. She whispered her anger into his ear, afraid a scene might lead to more than a few spilled drinks.
She was annoyed with Graice enough as it was, but for a moment she pushed her anger aside, trying to rationalize with him. Her arm reached out and grasped at his shoulder. The touch was a gentle one.
"Please?"

Graice eyed the bottom of his glass for a few seconds, quickly getting the attention of an ithorian walking by to get him a refill. Only after a sampling a small sip of his alchohol did he turn his chair around to face Kelen. He looked up at her with emotionless, and yet piercing eyes. He spoke with a slightly raised voice. Not enough to attract attention however; he knew his place at a cantina, if not anywhere else.
"Now, why the hell should I listen to you after you've been barking at me? Am I expected to comply to your every word and bite my own tongue? That's not how it works, darlin sister. And what ever possessed you to walk into this place anyway? Am I really that important? That you also need to be shrieking down my throat? I mean, it's all so damned inconsistant. Why don't you just go to talk to the royals yourself? You'd be so much better off without me, I obviously lack the elegant touch you do, and I never will possess such.
Now. go, please. Tell them I'll be along tomorrow or something. I dunno, just, something. I'm sure you can weave your way through things, you sure don't seem to have a problem in any other occasion. I'll be along back at the ship later, in my drunkard splendor of mine."
He weazed, and turned around, to find his glass was gone.
"Great... now some b*****d's stole my drink."
It was enough for him to pound the table.

In one swift move Kelen had removed the drink in front of Graice and was putting it to her lips as he turned his back on her. She drained the glass, slamming the empty on the counter in front of her partner.
"You'll make up anything that could possibly support your case. Look, I'm not sure what spurred this jealousy, but I haven't done a thing to merit this treatment. I have no control over you, but I'll be damned if I let you ******** this up and destroy the both of us.
Now, if you'll swalllow your pride and help me then we might be able to afford a few more drinks at the end of the day. I can't complete this mission without you. Will you please help me?"
She didn't want to sound like she was begging, but the balance of her future fell on Graice now too, and she didn't want him to destroy her in his anger.
Blood was rising up into her cheeks, and her hands trembled a little as she seated herself on the stool next to Graice. She refused to look at him, and instead stared at the game playing on the screen.

Graice muffled his grizzly chin, as he often did when a job was at hand. He had suddenly lost his appetite for alchohol.
"Look... I'll come with you if it means that much. But really, you can't deny that I won't exactly fit in there. That's not my opinion, to say, but fact. Maybe if we looked into getting me an actual formal suit in the future, that might be for starters. Maybe then I would earn myself a more formal accent. This is me, and if I have to change my character in order for us to do busisness more successfully, then I can, just don't expect it to happen overnight.
And I don't want to hear you bitching about me not being more of a gentleman, if you really have a problem with me, then perhaps we should go our seperate ways. I personally was under the impression that we were going to have our individual strengths play off one another, not have them wind us up in argument. The fact of the matter is, I'm trying.
Anyway, to the matter at hand... um... there's one problem. I need to perfume my breath if we expect to get anywhere. You wouldn't happen to have a spare egg on you, would you?"
Graice stood up, not knowing what to expect as a response from Kelen, after his little speech. He always tried to stick tried and true, but he often wondered if he overplayed himself sometimes, and said more than what was needed.

Kelen sighed, turning herself around to face Graice as he stood. She looked emotionally worn and tired.
"Who cares? It doesn't matter that formal occassions aren't your speciality. To be honest, they aren't mine either. I fake it. The senator isn't looking for formal body guards, or else the request would not have been put on the holonet. He is expecting people like us.
In regards to the suit, we will get you one when we complete this job. I expect the pay out will be plenty for you to get a nice suit if you really want.
And I don't have a problem with you not being a gentleman. In fact, I prefer it that way, at times. But I would also appreciate it if you didn't criticize my efforts. I just wanted to make a good impression on the senator. It doesn't mean I expect you to do the same, it was just a personal preference of mine.
And no, I don't have an egg on me."
Her eyes maintained a sad look as she finished speaking. She wished she could comfort her partner and hold him, like a mother to her child, but she held back her urge. She stood to face him, hoping they might leave if she did so.

"... And I never had the intention of critizing you, Kelen, and I'm sorry if it came out that way. I will admit, I did feel jealous at times. Well, moreover, I think the more correct term would be fustrated, y'see."
As she ascended, Graice gazed around the room subtly. It didn't seem as if anyone was looking at them, but he still felt uneasy, for some reason. He fixed his gaze back upon Kelen again. Such pretty eyes..., he thought to himself. I wonder why they appear so worn, though.
"How are you holding up these days? You seem stressed." The familiar creases were again evident on his forehead. Graice had half a mind to start towards the exit, but wished for Kelen to move first, so he could then follow in behind her.

"Not stressed, just tired. It has been awhile since I have gotten to rest. I assume I will get the opportunity when we finish with the senator."
She shrugged. Graice seemed so close. Blood rose up in her face and she almost felt herself blushing. Like the pathetic female she was, she yearned deeply for something unattainable.
"We should probably go. The senator should be expecting us and it isn't wise for us to show up too late."
She stepped around her partner, shattering whatever may have been. She turned around briefly to see if he was folowing and then proceeded to exit the cantina, stepping out into the scum-filled street.
"You don't think this job will take too long, do you? I'll probably need to refuel if we are taking the Vandrake. I'm not sure I have enough to get us as far around the galaxy as he may wish to go."

"Well, I don't remember anything in the mission details. I was almost under the impression that we weren't going to use the Vandrake, and instead guard him while he was on his ship. But if we really need to use the Vandrake, perhaps they will fund the expenses. I'd hate to think that they'd turn us down because we haven't gased the ship up... Heheh.... To be frankly honest with you, I can't even remember where we're supposed to meet this guy."
He stopped short, once they were both outside and a distance from the cantina. He actually felt relaxed. This is the way things should have been going in the first place. Now it was time to do a mission.

"I believe we just meet him in the landing docks. If not, I wouldn't mind traveling to the senate house to find him. I've never been involved in politics, but they sound intruiging. Anyway, we'll figure it all out when it comes."
They were now walking down the street, heading back to the dock where the Vandrake was parked. Kelen paused for a moment in her walking so that Graice may catch up to her. She preferred to walk with him than ahead of him.
"I assume we will have some time to prepare before we leave. I'm not going to wear this during the whole mission."
She stared down at her own clothes, almost as if she couldn't believe she was actually wearing them. It seemed so unlike her. Graice's carefree nature was similar to the way she used to be. Perhaps she was changing.

He cackled briefly.
"Can't deny it doesn't work for you, amongst anything else, it shows off the build you have.... um, pardon me for that comment. Haha. But honestly, if you're looking at getting into politics, that suit would definitally work. Better than me trying to fake it, I might as well just stay in the armor, it's a bit more formal that this monkey suit I'm in now."
The two walked around the wings of the docks, past small buildings and skyscrapers alike. The occasional small Correlian butterfly made it's way by, adding to the immersiveness and beauty of the city, as the sun played upon their wings. To put it briefly, the city was bustling with busisness. However, the streets were big enough so that they didn't feel congested like the streets of Nar Shadda were. Graice told himself he could grow to like it here.
They finally rounded a corner and made their way into the dock cooridors, ribbed and cluttered with control panels on the walls, and the occasional table and humming droid.

Kelen's eyes took time to adjust between the abrupt light changes. She felt blinded as she walked with Graice, and hardly noticed the scenery. She did, however, notice that the Kaminoan Senator was not anywhere within her line of sight. Even blinded she couldn't miss the tall, looming, thin breed.
"I never said politics were for me. They just seemed interesting. I am perfectly content following the condemned lifestyle I lead now.
Damn the holonet. They are never as specific as they need to be. I think we need to go to the Senate House if we are going to find the Senator. On the bright side, he should be expecting us. Accepting the mission probably sent a message to him letting him know we were coming."
The mercenary frowned, feeling slightly more lazy than usual. A right turn. The pair wound their way through the dock, exiting closer to the mainframe of the city. The House was only a block or two away. The walk would not take long.
It was now Kelen who was noticing the scenery of Correlia. Her eyes used to the light, she peered around in childlike fascination. She tried to hide it though. She disliked when Graice made fun of her.
The farther they weaved into the core of the city the larger the buildings became. It seemed like each building was competing for claim of the largest. Each building seems a hair smaller than the next. Eventually they reached the Senate building, which seemed to tower above the ones next to it. The building was large and white with architecture that surpassed anything she had seen. It seemed elegant.
"We will have time to go back and change, right? I need more weapons and I refuse to wear these clothes longer than I have to.
Kelen mumbled as she stepped into the main entrance with her partner.

As Graice stepped onto the threshold, he quickly shot a glance at his partner. He knew he was right in front of a government facility, but curiousity would kill him if he did not know. He discreetly leaned sideways towards Kelen and murmered.
"More weapons? As in, you have some on you know? I figured I was the only one..."
It was then when he pummled his chest, the resulting sound indicating where he had kept his blade. The thought of the possibility that his partner might also have a weapon concealed was comforting to him; perhaps it wasn't such an unruly idea, if she also had done it. After all, they were professionals, they had to be ready for whatever came their way at any given time. Suddenly he felt all the more assured of himself, of that fact.
He slowly moved farther into the enterance area, waiting for her response. Hopefully, this was the right location they were supposed to be at.

"Of course. I didn't want you to have all the fun and play hero alone, if need be."
She smiled, her hand tapping lightly at her leg where she kept the blaster concealed. It hardly showed beneath her skirt. One of the conveniences of the outfit.
"Just one of the many wonderous things my clothes conceal," she grinned, hoping he might catch her joke.
The building sported a large entry hall, rather professional from the looks of it. a large desk sat at one end with the latest technology concealed behind the counter. The government always came first.
The two made their way down the long entrance until they came to the desk. It seemed so empty. Even as she walked lightly Kelen's steps seemed to echo, as if she were stomping.
"Will you please inform the Senator from Kamino that his guards have arrived," Kelen was the first to speak to the cathar receptionist.
"Your names?"
"Kelen Nabell and Graice Chorster."
"If you will wait over there, the Senator will be with you in a minute."
She willingly stepped back to wait, as the receptionist had ordered. She watched carefully as the cathar commed the Senator. Protocol seemed so sophisticated within the Senate.
It wasn't long before the Senator came down, several bodyguards already with him. He was tall and thin, like most Kaminoans. His head seemed abnormally small and his neck ridiculously long. Kelen never got used to the Kaminoans. His walk was slow, and the mercenary swore she waited at least five minutes for him to walk to them.
