Did you talk to him?

I love the way he talks... he reminds me of Vincent Price...

"...it's too artsy fartsy..."

For someone who just met their favorite filmmaker, you sure are reserved about the whole experience. xd

i threw it all over the music forum, i thought i'd be a burden.

it was just like.

i felt so lucky that i met somebody who reminded me of me, and then realised it was ******** herzog and went crazy with delight.

I just added a bunch of Herzog to my queue.

Fitzcarraldo, Heart of Glass, and Cobra Verde.

That is so frigging cool that you actually got to meet Herzog, I would commit many attrocities in order to have such a privilage. Sadly I've only seen Wrath of God, I actually got to watch it for school which was pretty cool. Although next month I am getting the Herzod Klinski boxed sex, and the month after that I am snapping up just the Herzod boxed set. Although now that I think of it I really want Even Dwarves Started Small so I might reverse my purchases...or not eat and get them both. I don't need to eat.

That must be a super indie obscure film because Netflix doesn't have it.

rareflix or greencine has it, i believe.

if you're in the sf/bay area for sure le video has it.

I never heard of rareflix till now. Is Green Cine really worth it? I don't like their site layout but their selection looks good, lots of obscure films.

Happy News!

Burden of Dreams, the documentary on the filming of Fitzcarraldo is coming out on dvd. I am almost as excited about seeing the documentary as I was about seeing Fizcarraldo itself. It a criterion release so hope you have some one to rent it or know someone who is going to buy it (i am) cause it is definatly worth checking out.

There's a poster up for Grizzly Man. Directed and narrated by Herzog himself. Oh, and the assistant manager at my part-time informed me he hated Kinski and Herzog. It made me kinda sad.
