whee At Disneyworld, the story is a bit different.
Master Gracey, the owner of the mansion, was a terrible womanizer. He would marry a girl, live happily with her for a few months, then grow tired of her and kill her. Eventually, he married a young lady who was very superstitious, so much so that she employed her own medium, madame Leota. The young bride knew nothing of her husband's other wives, until shortly after their wedding when she held her first seance in her new home, and learned her husband's true nature.
Driven mad by grief, she cast her wedding ring out the window (you can still see the ring embedded in the pavement at the exit of the ride in FL) then killed her husband and hung his body from the rafters. Unable to live with herself for what she'd done, she jumped out the attic window to her death.

I loved Disneyland! One person in our group that went was my cousin's girlfriend and she made it SUPER fun. When she was little she got hit by a car so she has to wear a knee brace to make sure her knee won't bother her, so on top of her just being with us she made it fun because all she had to say was that she could not walk up stairs and we got to go to the front of every line! We were going to go on Splash Mountain, but we would have had to wait an extra 30 minutes or we could go and ride Space Mountain like four or five times instead. We went to Space Mountain of course which made it our favorite ride.

ya, its amazing what story can be thought up of by just riding both HMs...and by both, i mean that there are only 2 stories divided amongst the 4 rides. the most are used in the WDW, paris and tokyo HMs. this story being the one revolving around the bride.
correct me if im wrong, please sweatdrop

I love Disneyland! It's the happiest place on earth!! I haven't been there in years, though, sadly. Hee hee. Someday I'll have to go to Florida and check out Disneyworld, too.

I have been to Disney Land (CA) and the Magic Kingdom (FL). I'd like to see Tokyo Disney (maybe this May, hmmm), and the other sections of the Florida park. I've heard great things about staying at the hotel in the Safari park. My parents liked Epcot and my sister liked MGM Studios park, but that was many years ago. I'm sure things have changed and even improved.

I am the biggest Disney Freak of all my friends and family. Probably at my school. Leave me to be the only 8th grader who still enjoys Disney. But I digress, as much as I know about Disney, I didn't know the stories of the Haunted Mansion. And next time we go to WDW, I'm looking for that ring.

I haven't been to Disneyland or World before. I'm going next spring with my school band. I'm not really a ride person, do you think I'll still like it though? Also, what else is there to do in Disneyland besides go on rides? PM me with answers...that way I will be sure to see them

I wasn't really a ride person either, until I found myself with large chunks of time in the parks with no riding partner. But you'd be amazed at all the shows that are going on...You could literally just spend an entire day going from show to show. Very easily. I'm not acquainted with the Disneyland shows, but I'm sure they offer just as good a selection as Magic Kingdom does.
Oh yeah, and bring a small fortune and an extra suitcase. biggrin Shopping is your friend.

Now I want to know the story behind DL's Haunted Mansion. whee I'm really excited about the opening of Buzz Lightyear at DL. My boyfriend checked some other forums yesterday and found out they opened the ride for two hours to the public! He got so incredibly jealous, haha. I think it opens official on March 17, and we should be heading there on the 18th.

My boyfriend checked some other forums yesterday and found out they opened the ride for two hours to the public! He got so incredibly jealous, haha. Our buzz is more similar to the one in Tokyo than the one at WDW, so you may want to give it a shot. Noticeable differences are that the blasters can be lifted out of their holsters to allow easier shooting and theres more 3d figures verse 2d figures. Otherwise, yeah, theyre basically the same story and blasty shooty goodness.
