magomi walked along a path that marked the border between he two feuding countries. she often traveled this way, though she wasn't quite sure where she should go. she decided to see if she could find a village of sorts. she knew there was a forest where lots of hings could be found but one of her daggers had broken and she was looking for a smithy as she wandered.

Kari stopped, standing still. Her eyes widened and a smile played on her face. "Fiora! It's you!" She called joyfully, flinging her basket to the side, all but forgotten. She ran over to the elf and tackled her in a hug. Fiora hugged her back lightly, not used to receiving hugs. When Kari did pull back, Fiora allowed a small smile. "So it is you. How have you been, Kari?" Fiora asked, watching her old friend's face intently. "The last time I saw you was two years ago, wasn't it?"
Kari smiled and jumped up and down, estatic. "Yeah! You haven't changed at all, Fiora! No, need to be so formal, you know!" Kari said. Fiora blinked and her smile faded a bit. She was being formal? This was how she always was. Kari was probably just teasing. Arching an eyebrow, Fiora was about to continue when her keen ears picked up a noise. She spun and narrowed her eyes.
"Kari, keep quiet. Someone else lurks in these forests."

As night settled Arrich headed for the nearest town, hiding among the shadows whenever someone came near.

magomi heard some voices and curious she walked towards them. she didn't try to hide her presence for she wasn't trying to hide. though in case they were not the f4riendly type she stayed in the shadows her green eyes reflecting light and glowing green ever so slightly.

Fiora moved slowly, almost delicately.
"What, Fiora? What is it?" Kari asked in a whisper. The elf gave her a mild look and she frowned before becoming silent.
The elf was sure that she had heard something, and she was rarely wrong. Turning again, she caught a flash of green. Fiora took a step forward, nearly to the shadows.
"Hello? Who's out there?"

magomi blinked her eyes causing the glowing to slash for a moment. "I'm here that's who" she said with a grin.
with a swift catlike movement she jumped and sat on a tree branch. the trees swayed in the slight breeze causing the shadows to dissipate and magomi to be revealed in dappled sunlight. the breeze kept up and didn't allow her to sink back into the shadows. though she didn't try to ether, for the people in front of her didn't look very dangerous.

"Wow! That's so amazing! I want to do that too!" Kari said, watching Magomi with awe sparkling in her eyes. Fiora watched the newcomer with slight curiosity in her eyes. Kari dashed over to the tree and ran her fingers over the wood of the tree. "That must be fun." She smiled up at Magomi.
"Where did you come from? I didn't even see you!" Kari said, before pointing to Fiora. "But she did! This is my friend, Fiora! She's an elf! I guess those ears do come in handy!" Kari said, getting hyper. Fiora knitted her eyebrows together and layed a hand on Kari's shoulder. "Calm down, Kari. You're going to get too worked up."
Kari took no notice and kept up her cheeful banter. "Oh! But where are my manners? I'm Kari, from the nearby village! Who are you?"

magomi was a bit surprised by Kari's happy go lucky attitude. she raised an eyebrow at her for a moment then grinned. "my names magomi" she said looking at the two of them her eyes resting on each face for a moment. she didn't know why but when she met new people she always looked at there face and studied there expression for a moment.
she kept on sitting on the tree branch. she didn't know why but she felt like it. it felt somewhat safer up there for demons and elves didn't have much of a very good history... but she wouldn't let that judge others.

"Magomi?" Kari said, blinking. "It's nice to meet you, Magomi!" She said, smiling again. Fiora looked at both of them, she found Magomi to be quite mysterious. Besides, Kari seemed to be settling down...at least for awhile.
The elf walked up the tree and brushed some stray hair out of her eyes. "Well met, Magomi. I do believe you have already learned of my name, hm?" Fiora said, looking over at Kari, who wasn't paying attention. The elf was about to speak some more to Magomi, when Kari broke in suddenly.
"Hey, Magomi. Whose side are you on in the kingdom war?" She asked, while gazing up at the ice demon. I mean, you do realize that this place is close to Kingdom Orion, right?"

Arrich hid among the shadows as he heard more voices up ahead, he slowly moved past them, hoping they wouldn't notice his prescence for he feared the demon for some reason or another.

magomi turned her head slightly at the noise. but she didn't really care for the moment. magomi looked at Fiora yes she had learned her name already thanks to her younger counterpart.
magomi nodded to fiora then looked at Kari. she found the question amusing. she flashed a smile of white teeth with slightly pointed canines. "its not correct to voice some questions out loud now a days." she didn't answer this question straight for she didn't feel like it.

Kari looked back up at Magomi, confused. "Why not?" She lowered her voice to a whisper. "It's okay, I won't tell anyone. You can tell me." Kari said, eyes still wide. Fiora placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Kari, you can't force anyone to answer a question. If she doesn't want to answer it, then she doesn't have to." The elf said, looking down at the younger girl. Kari frowned, but otherwise, her words didn't seem to have much of an effect. "Okay, then. I guess I can live with it." She sat down and spread her fingers apart in the air. "Hey Fiora, look what I can do!" She said, and flames appeared from one of her hands, until she manipulated it to transfer to her other hand.
"You've really improved, Kari. How long have you studied the fire element?"
Kari didn't reply until she had put out the fire, but then she looked up. "A few years, more or less." She sat back against the tree. "Maybe I should get back. My little brother could use a bath..." She stuck out her tongue and then laughed.
