The heck? EIGHT years for psych as well? I thought it was only if you wanted to be a general prac in medicine.

My parents had high hopes for me as a kid because I did so well academically. Cue: rocket scientist, mathematician, lawyer, historian, composer, anthropologist, some sort of professor (and some people STILL think I should stay in academia forever gonk ), etc. I do well in university too but learning is too much of a passion for me to truly specialize and turn into practice. My father has called me the "absent minded professor" since I was a kid.

I'll likely just churn out something basic like teaching piano in order to finance my awkward studies on the side for the rest of my life.

Everybody pretty much wants to be one of 4 things... hair stylist, makup artist, chef, or photographer. Especially all my friends, it seems like a fun job and it'll be easy to learn but you have to work harder to make money because there's so many already out there. Haha everybody laughs at me when I say I want to be a dental hygenist...
