She found herself blushing by the time he was finished talking, she did believe in ghost stories and thus that was why she preferred living outside than going near the castle. Well not until winter, although she had toyed with the idea of leaving altogether to find a new home when it was getting too cold. Clearing her throat she shifted looking towards the castle, "Sometimes I think there's someone in there... not ghosts of course! But... I hear voices. Human voices...."

He looked at her for a moment, studying her sincerity. It all just seemed too, surreal. "One moment." He quickly turned and reached into his basket, brining out a large sketchbook. The brought the warm lantern closer to the both of them, and flipped through a few pages. Upon finding what he was looking for, he turned ti to her. It was a sketch of the ruins, an a weird orb hovering towards it, the orb had the faint outline of a human head surrounding it, the rest was covered in what he drew to be fog. "I saw that, last month... after the initial shock, I realized I had to know what it was." He kept the sketchbook out but set it down. "Listen...know that I know you're here, it wouldn't be do to let you just live out here in the cold. Come back to my place, I swear to its safety. It's just my assistant and myself there."

The woman, who at all appearances before held little reserve, suddenly scooted back just a tad from Hector at the mentioning of living anywhere. What ever the circumstances were that would cause a young woman such as herself live out in rather dismal conditions must have been as she looked torn. Wrinkling her nose she gazed up to him with her big brown eyes, as if trying to judge his intentions. ".. I can go... when ever I want?" She murmurs while chewing on her lower lip then hastily adding after she realized that may have sounded rude, "I-I mean... I just don't want to be a bother. And it's not so bad out here... there's lots of things to eat and a lake to bath in. And... and..."

Hector blinked his eyes, smiled, and began packing his things. "There's more rolls where those came from" he stated jokingly. It was now pitch black around them, nothing but the sound of the rustling of the tree's, aside from their voices. "You come and go as you like... do as you please, just no stealing, please" he muttered under his breath, "You wouldn't be the only one..". Hector then picked up the lantern, and motioned for her to follow. "It's not far, you can leave your things here".

Estrella stood there stunned for a few moments as he started to move away from her. Her heart was pounding in her ears and she was sure she was blushing as her mind furiously tried to work out what had just happened. He can't be a bad man... he was too nice... and polite.. not like them... "I...." She shakily stood up, dusting herself off furiously, desperately wanting to be clean of the offending dirt. "O-of course I wont steal! Oooh thank you!" She then darted after him, keeping a few steps behind him but nearly bouncing with happiness as she followed him.

He stopped a moment to have her catch up, smiled, and continued foward. He was silent the rest of the way there, and seemed enveloped in the silence around them. He loved the solitude of this forest, and the seemingly infinite mysteries that lay beneath its soil. The path they'd found and followed became more and more up-kept, and looking up, one could spot the golden light of a window up ahead. Hector smiled, "That would be Hermes; he lights one of the rooms, just in case I get lost." They soon reached a clearing that was used for his car, and the steps that lead to the large, black porch. He twisted the knob, and went in first. "Hermes, I'm home. I've brought a guest as well." A somber, metallic voice echoed from within, "More forest animals, Sir?..." Hector chuckled, "No, not this time." He motioned for Estrella to come in. The house was almost as dark as the forest, but a dull light soon illuminated the area. The house seemed to be almost completely built of or a dark red wood, with large sofa's, heavy rugs, and ornate lamps. From down the hall, Hermes appeared, eyed Estrella up and down, and politely bowed, saying in its same somber tone, "Good evening... I shall have the guest room and bath prepared." Hector smiled, "That would be wonderful." ((Hermes -- http://i33.tinypic.com/110ztw3.jpg ))

Estrella scooted behind Hector at the sight of the reploid. Like many humans she wasn't exactly comfortable around them, but she wasn't rude about it, just shy. Poking her head out slightly to smile up to the reploid but still using Hector as a Semi-shield. Her brown eyes, however, lit up at the word of bath. "Warm water?" She squeaked, overcoming her shyness immediately and moving from behind Hector and even a step towards Hermes with glowing excitement at the proposition.

Hermes nodded appropriately, turned, and walked slowly towards and up the main stairway. "It will just be a moment... I will call when it is prepared.." Hector nodded and looked to Estrella, "Well. I might as well show you around while we wait." He nodded in the direction to the right, and passed through a narrow hallway, lit by only a few lamps. "This is the study." He flipped a switch, and illuminated a single, curved room. The outer wall were panels of glass, where one could now see the moon cresting the tree-line. There were two large arm-chairs facing a desk covered in various papers and objects. An old-looking globe rested at one end, and on the other, a clay mold of what looked like a castle. behind the desk was a much larger, leather arm-chair. Lining the inner wall were bookshelves, all of them full, and seemingly unorganized. "aheh, as you may have guessed, I ask hermes to try his hardest not to tidy this area up, I work best with a little mess" he smiled, and set his over coat over the back of one of the chairs, and stretched. Suddenly, there was another tremor. Hector looked to Estrella for the moment, and held onto the back of the chair. It ended just as quickly as it'd begun. The sound of running water could be heard upstairs. "Almost ready"

By now after living so close to the castle she was use to the tremors, and not a hint of worry crossed her face as she stared wide eyed at all of the artifacts. She didn't even hear his comment about the bath as she found her way towards the castle model. Her fingers stopping just breaths away from touching on of the clay spirals. Her brown eyes taking in the small model in a way that suggested an impossibly innocent curiosity. "You said you saw a face?" she murmurs, "That must have been when I arrived...."

Hector blinked his eyes, a bit confused by the statement, then looked to the model. "Oh that." He rubbed the back of his head and moved forward. "That's just a bit of a rendition of what I think the castle may have looked like before it well...nodoby really knows what happened. But..yes..I change what it looks like every now and then, based on records and what-not.." he looked to her for a moment, "You seem..oddly interested in it."

She looked up at him almost incredulously for a few moments before a sly playful grin crossed her features, "For someone who has studied and created a miniature model Lord Grizwald.... you hardly have any room to call my curiosity odd." The statement was added by a soft giggle as she moved away from the castle model and towards the door. "Where is my room? We wouldn't want to keep Hermes waiting, right?"

Hector was caught unaware once again, and watched her leave. Who the hell is this girl? Down the hall, Hermes had just reached the bottom of the stairs, and big fluffy towel folded in one arm. He bowed appropriately, and spoke in his sullen tone, "Please, follow me.." Hector finally caught up, and smiled, "I'll wait down here."
The second floor was just like the first; dark red wood made up the floor, the walls, the ceiling, the doors. The halls were rather narrow but were also very long. Tall lamp fixtures lit the way, bit not too much, giving you just enough light to see comfortably. Hermes continued to walk slowly, his footsteps hardly making any sound. There weren't many paintings. And when there were, they seemed to be simple drawings and sketches of the surrounding forest, castle ruins, and town.

((Hey I'm no longer in a medicated coma... sweeeet! Also I didn't want to wait for a post about you leading me to my room then bath and blah blah blah... so this is more comical and speeding things up))
Estrella followed Hermes down the hall, her head turning every which way to gather in every detail before entering the bathroom. Turning she bowed to him slightly, straightened up then smiled. "Thank you very much." She chimed in her polite voice as she took the towel from him then shut the door. After the door was shut she hardly made a noise, surely she had walked to the bath, removed her clothing and emerged herself gratefully into the first warm bath she had had in quite some time, but on the other side and down below she had somehow managed to do it in virtual silence. For a very long time she simply allowed herself to soak, her eyes closed, her nose barely above the water and her ridiculously long golden hair just floating around her body. She almost looked like she had fallen asleep but in truth she was deep in thought. I didn't think anyone lived out here... I didn't think anyone would want to live here. And want anything to do with the castle...
Finally albeit just as silently as before she opened the door, wrapped in the fluffy towel with her hair draped over her shoulder to keep from dragging on the floor. With her cheeks red she called out, "Hermes...? Hector....? Where is my room?"

A cold wind blows over the fields and light debris tumbles and twirls. Leaves the colour gold fly the currents, turning red as they get further from the castle ruins and finally as they rest to the ground a crumbling brittle dry dark brown. The trees rustle and sway slight in the distance a restless horizon.
Somewhere a presence stirs
