 Finally, the theater lights dim and a single spotlight shines onstage. From behind the shimmering curtains, a lone woman appears, dressed in the finest golden silks available. She could have stepped right out of one of the theatre's murals.Miss had been running around like a frantic mess all night, hardly having any time to mingle. In Wickit's absence, she had to be perfectly sure everything was prepared. She'd gone over her parts in the Script Library, had a smoke in The Garden, and primped herself in The Restrooms before making her way to The Green Room. And now, like a perfect hostess, she emerges from the darkness with a broad smile for her audience. With a sweeping bow, she waits for the applause to subside before she begins to speak into her mouthpiece, her beautifully dark voice amplified through the auditorium.
"Ladies and gentleman, I extend my warmest greetings to all of you this evening. We have quite the show planned for you to kick off the party, so I won't keep you long with silly small talk. We have booked a very special man to serve as tonight's performer, and though you may never have heard of him, he is a presence to be respected for his astounding skill. Without further ado, I proudly present Mr. Tomas Wheeler, the finest magician this side of Gaia!
Taking a step back, Miss follows the curtains as they open and the stage lights up to reveal a lovely set, complete with the typical magic equipment: a table, a tophat, and some strange-looking contraptions. But, where is the magician...?

[/gasps are heard all around the auditorium in awe] "Huh? Where did the magician disappear to?" [/he nudges at the lady sitting next to him] "Get it? Disappear? Magicians? ...whatever." [/he pays his attention back to the stage]

Misery looked with confusion.
'Where is the magician?' She thought to herself.
'Maybe he will magically appear that would be cool.'

 Qwake was never really a fan of magic shows, they were all just tricks, whether it be a slight of hand card trick or the classic rabbit out of a hat. All a load of bull. But, none the less he will try to enjoy the show. As the curtain opened he applauded courteously, not taking much notice in the absence of the magician. "Wow, he is probably just waiting in the wings of the stage for the flash of light and the puff of smoke to make it look like he appeared out of no where." He said out loud to no one in particular.

Chi watches in silence, no magician! She begins to panic as she thinks to herself "oh i hope i didn't come to watch a magician get cold feet!!"

Misery heard the man's comment about it all just being tricks and turn to glare at him. "If you are going to be a party pooper then keep your thoughts to yourself ok?" She turned back around and waited for magician.

Finoewae kept her eyes on the stage at first, but wanted to "uncover the secret" before anyone else, she quickly started to scan the entire theater, hoping to see the magician hiding in some dark corner. She smiled to herself.

Raven waited patiently for the magician to make his entrance. She started people-watching, as is her habit. Raven saw quite a few confused and surprised faces, all of which were slowly scanning the stage. She was intrigued by a single person, sitting back skeptically. She wondered if this smug look would stay on his face for the whole performance.

 The man in question, the famed star of the show, seems to be missing! That is, until a mere white rose drifts down from the top of the stage, apparently from the catwalks. It moves slowly, floating, as the orchestra creates a tense atmosphere with high tones on their strings. As soon as the rose touches the floor of the stage, a gigantic flame shoots up into the air where it lands, lighting up the auditorium just briefly. When the fire subsides, the snappily-dressed Mr. Wheeler stands triumphantly with the same white rose clenched between his teeth, a victorious smile on his lips.
The music has risen to a loud roar to announce his presence, and taking the rose from his mouth, he throws it to the audience with a bow and a grin.
"Good evening, good people of the Durem Theatre! I hope you're all ready to leave the world of reality behind, because it is my personal goal..." as he speaks, he pulls another white rose from his vest pocket, displays it to the audience, and cups it in his hands to hide it from view, "to blur the line between what is real, and what is..." Releasing his hands, a dove flutters out into the crowd. "... magic!

 The girl snorted loudly, then hawked a lougie into the seat infront of her. Magic. "YOU LIE!" She flailed briefly before toppling. Auuugh. Fourties and snorting cookie dough..Maybe not her brightest idea. "Whoa. Birds~"She cooed to herself, momentarily distracted.

Chi stares at the magician on stage and watches as the flower turns to a dove. She claps her hands with excitement and keeps watching for more "Maybe this will be good!!" she says to herself quietly.
