Mudkit played with the swirling clouds until she began to feel exhausted. She finally plopped down onto the ground tiredly and rolled onto her back. "Okay!" She mewed. "I'm done!" She gave out a laugh, and then sighed, looking over at Blizzardpaw. "What's it like, you know, being an apprentice?" She asked suddenly. She suddenly wondered if it was as fun as being a kit.

"For which-?" Blizzardpaw stopped himself quickly before he could finish. He shook his head and focused.
"Well, there's a lot more responsibility involved. You can't just play when you feel like it, or nap when you feel like it. You've got to stay on schedule with the clan so you can do your part to help it." He meowed. That was a good answer wasn't it? It was the same thing for apprentices in every clan.

Mudkit paused herself from licking her pelt. How interesting! She turned back to Blizzardpaw. "Oh," She mewed. "How incredibly interesting!" She kind of liked how orderly it sounded.
Mudkit gave out a purr of contentedment. Now she had an idea of what to expect when she finally became an apprentice.

Mudkit said farewell to Blizzardpaw and laid down in her nest. She yawned sleepily and curled into a ball. Blizzardpaw was a nice cat.
Mudkit slowly drifted off to sleep.
