Noctis put Duke down on a pillow, leaving the sleeping imp to rest on it's own. The imp had been far too amusing when awake but it also drained Noctis of his energy as well. He let out a tired sigh as Jack returned to the living room, his neatly arranged hair was now completely out of place.
"Ill take one. Thanks." He took a beer bottle, opening it swiftly. He shook his ehad as Jack asked for food. Noctis always did take-out. Actually, half the time, he forgot to eat because he was so absorbed in inventing things. He could see Jack's apparent sleepiness, tiredly reflecting he felt sleepy as well. Today had been quite an exciting day. He tried to answer the barrage of questions, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. Damn, a drunk jack was getting talkative. " No problem. sleep over if you want." He offered, not holding as much animosity towards Jack as before. Duke might be a reason for that. After all, Duke proved Jack wasn't a complete party animal. Or a useless pizza boy.
"I'll try to answer all those. Uh. No I don't have a girlfriend but I do have a life. I work at a bar but I hope you never find out what it is. Although considering you found my house, you probably already know that." He took another sip before answering the next few questions. The warm beer ran down his throat, tipping his head as he drank it.
"I have this big house because I'm a rich boy. Steal anything and I'll track you down. Don't underestimate an engineer because I'll screw up every single little thing in your car and you'll never fix it completely." Noctis warned, a shiny gleam in his eye. No doubt, he would carry that threat through.. and happily.

"For real?" Jack quirked an eyebrow when Noctis invited him the night there - and grinned. "Y'know, you're not too bad. I mean, you're kinda lame... but a good guy. Yeah?" Another swig of beer - really would have liked something to munch on right now, and with nothing to eat he was going to get drunk a lot faster. Not that he was going to do anything about that - he was going to finish off these beers either way, and the only thing that could stop him was... well, Noctis taking more of them. Which he wouldn't have really minded too much. Only losers drank alone.
"Yeah. Right. You have a life." He rolled his eyes. "If you do, how come you don't have a girlfriend? 's not like you're ugly. Y'know, if you laid off the coats an' belts and ..." He shifted on the couch, turning to face the other man with an elbow propped up on the plush back. "... and nerdiness. If you laid off that, I'd do you." A sort of half-snicker that turned into a barking laugh, and he reached for a fresh bottle of beer, flicking the cap off with the edge of the coffee table.
"How come you're so rich? Y'don't even... do anything. Useful. Not from what I heard. And - and you're not touching my goddamn car. Seriously, man. I'll kill your mom." He glared at the guy for a moment, then shook his head, all grins once more. "The rest of the guys on this street... they'll all pretty rich, right? Mebbe we'll hit one of 'em. Once I teach Duke the ropes, I guess. He can already do some neat tricks. We got that." He pointed at the rolex, still sitting neatly where he'd left it on top of his folded vest and shirt. "'s just the beginning."

Noctis wasn't sure which way to take that compliment that was directed in a quesiton. But for now, he took the 'compliment' was a confirming nod, letting the mediocre taste of beer slide down his throat. He stood up to get two cups of ice as the other directed questions at him, the sound of ice hitting glass cups added to Jack's string of words.
As he walked back and put the cups down, he tried to keep up with Jack's drunk talking. "Does your definition of life include the requirement of a girlfriend? I dont need a girlfriend to have a life." He raised his eyes at Jack's next sentence, his chin in his hand as he stared at the other, a lazy grin spreading over his expression, one hand poured his bottle into the cup with cold ice. "Thanks. It's nice to know you would consider a one night stand with me. Besides on a one-night stand, there wouldnt any coat and belts. I think it requires being naked, if you remember right." Noctis pointed out, taking a sip of his cold beer.
"I dont do much. But my parents do. Good luck killing off my mom. She's a lot harder to find than I'll ever be." He challenged, indicating that his mom was of high status. He didnt reveal anymore as Jack moved on to the next subject. All Noctis did was work a little for his material expenses for inventing. Otherwise, he was just spoiled rich nerd who happened to have a life.
"Hit one of them if you want. I don't care. Just dont lump me in if you ever get caught." He stated, glancing in little interest as the Rolex. "I am honestly amazed as to what you have in store for Duke. He'll be an impressive demon." Noctis nodded his head, as if imagining what Duke might become. .. All he could see was a headbutting blueberry at this point, honestly.

"What. I didn't say I was considering - oh. Well. Now I am. I wasn't before."
He kept his gaze on Noctis a little longer, before turning away and taking one of the ice-filled glasses for himself. He filled it slowly - watching the liquid tumble over the icecubes, tiny, momentary waterfalls spouting into existance, flooding, and drowning in a sea of pale bubbly yellow. He felt good. Warm. Clean, even. And he didn't mind smelling of apples anymore, although in the back of his head it still seemed incredibly funny. Tipping the glass back to drink, he reached out and draped an arm over the back of the couch... conveniently, right across Noctis' shoulders.
"I won't get caught. Not with Duke. He can hide. Make us both practically invisible. Kinda scary, y'know? He just needs... hands. And stuff. Kinda important for our line of work. An' hey. Check this out." He reached out towards the imp, ticking him low on one of his sides. Duke twitched, opened his mouth, closed it again and rolled over - still fast asleep. Jack giggled, watching his tail wriggle as he poked the imp's now-exposed belly a few times. A pause and another drink before he spoke - "You're cute."
Except he wasn't really looking at Duke anymore - eyes turned towards Noctis, his on green orbs red from a combination of booze and apple-scented shampoo.

"Oh hell." Noctis chuckled, the swear word didnt have a bad connotation, more of an 'oh boy' line. He took several sips of his drink, the apple scent floated around the room as a light fragrance. A bit strong though. Oh perhaps, it was stronger because Jack was next to him. As the other let his arm lean on Noctis's shoulders, Noctis was sorely temped to tell the other, he wasn't an armrest. But hey. He didn't feel like moving so why bother? He relaxed comfortably on the couch, running a hand through his messy hair.
He laughed at Jack's manipulation of the imp, watching as Duke rolled oer. Duke was like a puppy. But immensely cuter. Noctis wondered he he could steal Duke from Jack. For a couple of days. Since he was too cute to resist. But then he might find everything in his house head-butted and broken. Not cool.
The compliment surprised him, Jack's eyes meeting his own charcoal colored eyes. A hand immediately went to cover Jack's face, pushing the other back, keeping a distance. "Oh, you're not finding a bed partner here if that's what you're looking for. I'm giving you a night to stay and off you go to find your pretty Iclair. You're too drunk to be thinking straight." Noctis laughed, starting to stand from the couch. Ordinarily, Noctis would have a tiny hint of nervousness in him but since Jack clearly couldn't think of him in such a manner, Noctis didn't take it to heart.
"Get to bed Jack. I'll show you your room as soon as you stand up, you lazy pizzaboy."

He blinked drunkenly as a hand moved infront of his face, pushing him back. Out-of-balance, he nearly fell on the imp behind him - but caught himself in time, swaying and looking confused... for a moment. Then a little put off. Alright, so maybe if Noctis had just told him to leave him alone, he probably wouldn't have listened. That didn't mean he liked getting rejected by way of a hand in his face. He didn't like getting rejected at all, but... seriously. He wasn't a dog, or something.
Just drunk. "******** Iclair. I just wanna know what he's up to, and you - " There was a rustle of fabric as Noctis stood from the couch, Jack blinking in his wake. He was laughing, too - which should have bothered him, but he didn't mind so much. He watched the man's upturned lips for a few moments, then reached out to grab his hand, using it to pull himself off the couch without so much as asking.
The world swayed underneath his feet - he stayed upright for a second, then, inevitably, momentum had him falling straight into Noctis, a tanned hand whipping around his neck for support. He steadied himself until he was standing beside the other man, still holding on, leaning in towards his shoulder and ear just a little. Which he leaned over to give a playful n**, just because it was there and standing up had made his head spin a little.
"Okay. Lessgo. To bed."

By this point, Jack's mumbling words were something Noctis wasn't going to take much meaning in. Noctis nearly fell over himself as Jack took his hand without warning but somehow, managed to stand. His hands automatically flew to Jack's back to steady the other.
"Whoa--Whoa!" The first word had been about Jack's unsteady posture but the second was was in surprise to Jack's playful n**. Goddamnit, why did people always have to do that? Normally, Noctis wasn't sensitive anywhere else. Except for his ears. His friends had learned the one way to get Noctis out of his laboratory room was to blow or n** in his ear. Nothing else works. Save for the threat of dropping a nuclear bomb in his lab, probably. His hand hastily covered the nipped ear, his expression flushed the tiniest bit. "Sheesh-- Don't surprise me like that." His hand lowered to let go of Jack, red and black eyes glanced down at the sleeping demon. Oh. Can't leave Duke alone in the living room.
"Yeah. Grab Duke, won't you?" He said with a scowl, looking down at the beer bottles on his table. "I'd thought you have more a drinking tolerance than this Jack." He took a glance at the few bottles gone, wondering if he had a higher tolerance than the other..? That would be amusing if Noctis did indeed have a higher tolerance.
"Follow me down the hall. There's some extra bedrooms that way." Noctis motioned to the hall, on the other end, since the bathroom was at one end and rooms lined the wall leading to the other end, Noctis's room.

"Sorry." Jack grinned, not sounding particularly sorry again - maybe a little triumphant. Leaning in considerably closer than he had any justifiable reason to, he reached down to scoop the imp off the couch clumsily. Duke opened an eye for a fraction of a second, but didn't deem the situation exciting enough to wake up. Jack slipped him into the duffel bag that had served as his warren for the last few days, slung that over his shoulder, still grinning.
"Imma cheap drunk. 's not a bad thing. Saves money." He winked, resting his chin on Noctis' shoulder. That, or he wasn't quite as drunk as he was acting. You got away with a lot of fun stuff when you were drunk, and all you had to do was look blank the next morning - go away blameless. Well. With a hangover maybe, because he had had quite a bit to drink - those were four empty bottles, all his, and they weren't the first of the night. It had taken him a couple to get to the point where he was actually considering paying Noctis a visit, after all.
Staggering a little, he followed the other man down the hall, staying a few feet behind Noctis for the most part. Except to dance up for one moment, just long enough to grab his a** - and jumping back with surprising agility for a drunk guy who could barely stay upright without staggering sideways. "You have a lotta bedrooms. Why do I get the feeling you took the last one for yourself, even though it doesn't make a lick of sense to walk 'cross this hallway every goddamn time you need to take a piss? Yeah. You're ********>

Noctis honestly didn't know if Jack's teasing intimacy was because of Jack's drunkenness or his own personality. "I guess it does. Cheap stuff works for a man of your status, I suppose." Noctis said carelessly, his natural snobbishness showing through. At least, the other wasn't talking right next to his ear. As long as he didn't do that, Noctis was content to put up with his.. simple teasing. If one could call it that.
Although he had quite reached his limit as Jack seemed to take the extra mile to grab his a**. His a**, of all things. By this point, he had stopped walking grabbed Jack's hand to prevent him from jumping away. He seemed to stare at Jack for a moment, as if considering what words to use for his next question.
"Honestly, Jack. Are you trying to get my attention in a.. certain way?" He leaned in to speak by Jack's ear this time, soft black locks brushing against Jack's cheek. "Cause grabbing my a** definitely got my my attention." He fingered a black lock of Jack's hair, metting Jack's green eyes before leaning in closer. "By the way, there's a bathroom in my bedroom. You can always visit. If you're up for it... Which I'm pretty sure you're not." Noctis let out a small chuckle, staring to pull away from the other.

"Not cheap stuff." Jack wrinkled his nose, pouting a little and raising a finger in protest. "Cheap beer, yes. Not cheap stuff. Beer oughta be cheap as air anyway. Should come outta the tap in your kitchen." He considered this thought for a moment, as he swung away from Noctis -
And found the man gripping his wrist, their hands hanging high in the air between them. When did that happen? And why did this happen exactly? Jack had been fairly content with all of his advances being brushed aside. For all he paraded himself about, he was fairly used to it - and hey, this was Noctis. Noctis though he was a bum and an alcoholic, and he thought Noctis was a dork and... slow. Noctis only put up with him because he had Duke, and Duke was nearly cute enough to win Little Miss Universe, except he'd bomb the question section. And the swimsuit parade. Did the Little Misses even do a swimsuit part? That was kind of creepy.
Anyway - Noctis was leaning in close now, sending shivers down Jack's spine as he felt the edges of black hair brushing against his face. Distracted, he couldn't really tear himself out from under Noctis' gaze, and just sort of stood there slack-jawed for a moment, feeling something toying with his newly apple-scented hair. And then Noctis had pulled away, walking away almost fast enough to a drunken Jack to just let him go and take a nap on floor right there, to clear his head.
Almost - but not quite fast enough. Before the guy reached the door to his bedroom, Jack had caught up, looking a little flushed.
"You have a bathroom... in your bedroom? Goddamnit!" Not so hard to understand the look on his face when you remembered Jack didn't have a bathroom - or a house to have a bathroom in, for that matter.

"Yep. A bathroom in my bedroom." Noctis didnt understand Jack's amazement-- even if he did live in a car, how was that a fact to be in shock over? "Master bedrooms always have a bathroom. Or so, I thought?" Noctis said, blinking in surprise, one hand pushing the door open to rveeal a wide room lavishly decorated. There was two doors in the room. One to the bathroom.. and one to his lab downstairs.
"Your room's over there by the way. It's almost as good.. minus the bathroom of course. But you'll have to make that trip down the hall if you want to use the bathroom." Noctis gestured to one of the rooms in the halls, Jack had passed by it when he caught up with Noctis.
"Mind if I go sleep now, Jack?" He asked, expecting another event to happen before he went to sleep. After all, with Jack around, nothing seemed peaceful. His eyebrows were arched in an expectant manner, his room was only a few steps away. "If you're wondering about beds, yours is almost as soft as mines." Noctis thought fit to mention, a hand rubbing his unshaven chin.

"Yeah, but... I... ********, I always stayed out of master bedrooms as a kid. I used to break into houses. Not to steal s**t, just... to be there, y'know? But I always expected something horrible to be hidin' in the master bedroom. 's just the way my folks taught me, I guess. That they were evil. I just assumed they killed people, and left dead bodies around their room. Didn't know any other kinda evil, I guess." He kept tottering after Noctis as the other stopped to open the door to his room.
"Never had an extra bathroom in my house, not as a kid. Didn't need it. There were five of us and we still didn't need it. Well, maybe we did, but frankly, we never figured people needed to smell like apples. And - " Cut off in mid-drunk-rant, Jack stared at Noctis' room. Having already been thinking back to his old family apartment, Jack wasn't sure if it was any bigger than this one room. And yeah, Jack had been in big rooms before. Nice rooms. It was just bizarre how this was the room of someone he knew. Made his head spin - he took a step inside, despite Noctis' suggestions that he go to bed.
Most likely Noctis should never have let him get in here - or even suggested that he pay a visit, which he very clearly did. Now that he was here, he wasn't really interested in leaving - padding barefoot across the chill floor as he made a round of the space. No dead bodies - although he did pause to look at the door that lead to the lab. Considered going down there, actually - but Noctis did have a point. He was tired - turning around easily, leaving the duffel on the floor and vaulting onto the bed easily. Hands behind his head, he peered up at the high ceiling, looking rather contemplative.
"Go to bed? I don't mind. Good night."

.. Noctis had to seriously question, what parent taught their kid that there were dead bodies in the master bedroom? That sounded a little off, even to Noctis. He didnt stop Jack from stepping in, figuring he might as well let the pizzaboy have his fun. After all, it wasn't often that Jack held such an expression of awe and amazement, like a puppy, in front of Noctis. In fact, it was quite amusing. He laughed as Jack circled the room, a hand stifling his laughter in an attempt at politeness, fingers brushing past his lips. Although the laughter didn't last long.
Although he realizied now that he never should have left Jack to come into his room-- His red and blue eyes slanted dangerously, contemplative thoughts wondering he should strangle the other or not. He leapt onto the bed, next to Jack, a foot working to kick the other off. "C'mon. You got a bedroom that's nearly as big and nearly as soft in the hallway. You're not taking this one!" Noctis argued, the one thing he would not give up was his bed or his room. Pale hands shook Jack's shoulder, not allowing the other to become comfortable.

"I'm not taking it! You've got enough space here for a goddamn army." He waved a hand at Noctis in an attempt to dismiss him, but unfortunately Noctis was not exactly trained to follow his lazy orders. Instead, there was a foot pushing at him, and a hand shaking his shoulders, which made it kind of hard to get to sleep... even for a guy used to sleeping under noisy highways in the middle of the day. He looked at Noctis, annoyed.
"You said I could visit. Well here I am. I'm visitin'. For the rest of the night. So why don't you... piss off and go to bed?" As he said it, he reached out to tug at a lock of the man's hair, in perfect parody of the action the other had done to him earlier in the hallway. And, since the guy was close enough to whisper in his ear, Jack did some of that too - grinning as he leaned in a little closer.
"Whatcha so worried about? I'm not gonna do anything to you during the night. I mean, I don't think I am. Maybe in the morning, though." He barked a lazy sort of laugh, provoking a sort of mumble from the imp in the duffel under the bed, and kicked the covers up around him stubbornly.

"This isn't visiting, if you learned education right, you uneducated drop out." Noctis stated irritably, the insult would probably roll off the drunken Jack easily.
Noctis's hand went to cover his ear with a deepening scowl. obviously, Jack wasn't getting off this bed anytime soon. Besides, it was big enough for much more than two people. Pulling the other side of the blanket over his body, he settled on the bed, far from Jack. With an irritated sigh. It seemed that sigh was the victory signal, as Noctis curled up under the blankets. He reached out to grasp a remote that immediately turned off the lights.
Next time, he knew better than to let Jack in his house again. Next time, he seriously considered locking his house and setting up a gate so that Jack couldn't get in again. Served him right. But it was only for a night. Noctis reminded himself of that nice little fact, taking a deep breath before closing his eyes to fall asleep.
One night. Even Duke didn't seem worth the amount of trouble Jack seemed to inspire within him.
