JAmes heard yellling a few floors above him>someone still alive?"He said and took off at a slow jog, No reason to run and get killed becase he was moving to fast to see anything. He opened the doors to the stare and sure enogh, infected."he raised his rifle and fired a short burst into each of them and watched their bodys hi the floor.The stairs were dark so he turned on the flash light attached to hsi rifle and started to asend the stairs, it took him about 60 second to reach the floor the screams came from, he slowly open the door and saw a body without a head at the end of teh hall were the hall met a cornor. the screams came from around the cornor.
James didn't see anyhting near the door but some the apartment doors had been bashed in, they could be a problem. He moved up the camm as fast as he could safly looking into each of the bashed in doors till he reasched the corner. the scream were geting quiet which was a bad sign. JAmes steped around the corner and saw a girl being held about a foot off the ground by somthign around ehr neck. James followed it with his eyes till he foud what it was attached too. It was one of the mutation he ahd seen, He hand't encountered this one before but figered it would die the same as the others."he raised his rifle and fired a burts adn the thing blew up into smke as the girl fell to the ground.
James' gasmask could protecked him aginst the smoke but the girl had jsut been being strangled and it would be better for her to breath non-smokey air. before she ahd time to recover mush her scoped her up alonge with a shotgun thyat way laying next to her and move quickly back up the call to one of the apartments witha bashed in door. he went in and set he ont he couch to reconver them went around the partment to check for infected, No good saving ehr if she gets killed by one of them here. He found one in the bathrooma nd put it down then returned the living room to wait for her to revoer.

 Rogue thanked James for saving her life after she was able to catch her breath. Climbing back to her feet and reloading her shotgun before turning to face James.
"Are-are you the only one left? Did you see any others?"
Raises her arm enough to brush her sleeve across her forehead. The sleeve soaking up drips of blood which were about to drip into her eyes. Knowing that the blood might ruined her aim. She torn the bottom of her shirt and wrapped the strip around her forehead.

"i didn't see anyone else, in fact your the first person i've seen in the last 2 weeks."James said He looked around the room then back at her."This apartment is infested, we should move to a safer place to talk." He sid then pulled the slide on his CAR15 back to lock a round into the chamber.

"Infested... you know what these things are? I doubt there are many safe places left in this city."
Rogue eyes scrolled to the left just enough to take a glimpse out the window. Down below she noticed the horde of zombies, walking aimlessly in the streets.
"Where do you expect us to go exactly?"

"i have found waerhouses and factorys to be the safest places. but i thought you would have had a safe pplace....since your still alive and all." He said he looked at the door to make sure nothing was outside of it.
