Ivy sat at her desk in her room, trying to do homework. She looked outside her window, hoping to get inspiration for her report. That's when she saw two men standing outside, looking up at her window. The sight of them seemed to instill a type of fear in her. "I have nothing to be afraid of," She said to herself. "The doors are locked, and Dad's downstairs." She went back to trying to do her homework.

Angelus was lying on Ivy's bed, unnoticed. He was completely bored, as there was no danger to watch out for. But when Ivy spoke, Angelus became alert. He sat upright and craned his neck to see what was outside that had spooked his charge. There were two men approaching the building. Eternals. He thought grimly. He looked again and recognized the one as the murderer of his previous charge.

"And how do you suppose we get in?" Nicolai replied, trying to scope out a ladder to the roof or something that would give them easy access inside.

"Kido, you don't know anything, do you?" Nicolai said. If he hadn't used the other vampire's nickname, it could've been considered an insult. "Let me show you how it's done." He crossed the street to the door of the house and knocked. After a few moments, a man came to the door.
"Can I help you?"
Nicolai donned an innocent expression. "My car broke down a ways back and my brother and I can't get home. Could we use your phone?"
The man looked past Nicolai to Kidoa and something in his facial expression told Nicolai that this guy didn't trust them. Then he seemed to relax slightly and said, "Sure. I'll take you to the phone.
"Thank you so much, sir." Nicolai turned to Kidoa and smiled an impish smile that seemed to say, Told you so.

Nicolai followed the man inside to the kitchen.
"Here's the phone..." The man said, his back turned as he grabbed a cordless.
Nicolai appeared behind him and snapped his neck. The man crumpled to the floor in a lifeless heap. Nico turned toward Kido. "No witnesses. No evidence. No sound."

Angelus pretty much leapt off the bed and ran toward the door. The Eternals are inside. He couldn't do anything to physically stop them, at least, not without revealing himself and losing his charge. He would have to hope that he could persuade Ivy to call 911 before it was too late. He turned to begin whispering "suggestions" in the girl's ear, but her cell phone rang.

Ivy answered her phone. "Hello?"
"Ivy! You should totally come to the movies with me! Vampires Suck is playing!"
"Harley? Is that you?"
"Isn't it always me? I'm waiting for you outside!"
Ivy looked our her window. Sure enough, Harley was standing at the corner with her motorcycle on the kickstand.
Harley waved.
"I have homework to do." Ivy protested. "Besides, what if we get mobbed by angry Eternals?"
"You worry too much, girl. Come on, it'll be fun."

Nicolai found the stairs and grinned at his friend. "Upstairs." He replied. He started up the steps, debating about whether or not to mess his with victim. He liked when they were afraid, but he didn't want to risk her escaping or calling someone.

Harley was watching Ivy prepare to come down to join her. She saw someone walking out of the corner of her eye and turned to see if they were a threat. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the boy walking. "Well, hello..." She muttered to herself. She looked back at Ivy's window then at the boy. There's no harm in engaging the man in a little conversation while I'm waiting. She reconciled with herself. "Hey you! Hotstuff!" She called. That'll get his attention.

Harley grinned. "Yeah, you. You got a name, hotstuff?"

Ivy grabbed her cell phone, keys and some money for the movie. She left her room and headed down the hallway towards the stairs.

Angelus followed her. "Don't do that. Don't go towards the stairs." He said very seriously.

Ivy suddenly got a bad feeling as she approached the stairs. Something's wrong.

Angelus noticed her hesitation. Good. I got her attention. "Call 911. Someone's broke in."

Nicolai heard movement above him. He continued up the stairs, hoping that the girl wouldn't be too easy to kill. He glanced back to see what Kido was doing.

Harley put her hands on her hips and cocked her head to the side. "Ari, huh? Well, aren't you the smooth talker. If you must know, I'm waiting for a friend. And it's only dangerous to walk the streets at night because of people like me." She paused, considering the boy. "And if it's so dangerous to be alone at night, then what about you? Unless I'm mistaken, you're alone."

Nicolai grinned. "Yep." He reached the top of the stairs and saw Ivy standing there. "Hello, little girl." His grin widened, showing his fangs.

Ivy took a step backwards. Eternal! She was scared, but she knew that running was useless. She glanced back towards her door. Maybe I can make it...? Deciding that she wasn't going to die standing still, she decided to go for it. She ran to her door and somehow managed to get in just as the eternal made a grab for her. She began to dial 911.

Nicolai growled slightly at having just missed his prey. He straightened up and touched the door, knowing how easily he could break it. "This is going to be fun." He muttered.

Angelus stood in the hallway, impressed at his charge's quick thinking. She's out of sight, so I can appear. He relished the thought of kicking some eternal arse.
