I kinda felt like he announced Koha's graduation, making it sound like it was her decision so the wota would accept it better, and then waited a day or two for the whole thing to settle down slightly before saying on his (relatively) unpopular blog, "Oops, sorry. Did I make it sound like that? Oh no, it was my idea completely. She had no idea it was coming".
I can just imagine Koha's reaction when he sat her down and told her that she would be graduating. Poor girl. Dx
I just hope he didn't do it through that obnoxious TV screen, like whenever he's announcing new generations.

Maybe he didn't want tomatoes to be thrown at his image on the TV >>;; ...this makes me hate him, a lot. Ugh, he's so two faced about this whole situation with Koharu.

i know he totally half assed koharu since pepper keibu. before he loved her and now he loves aika. i wont be surprised if we see aika leave in 2 years. then the pandas. then 6th gens, then gaki. of course he loves ai so w/e. -_-

^ LOL but Ai and the others are probably leaving soon too [u_u] since they've been in MM and H!P for a long time now and are over 20.
Tsunku has been really weird for a while now. @.@

all the newest members after koha really haven't started to appeal to me...
i don't know if that's because i've only watched old tv specials and clips-- but not the most recent things...
i'm really hoping they don't throw in a current h!p member or Egg into the line up
i'd prefer it if they auditioned new members- then i'd be there to actually become a fan of them-- unlike other members that are already there that i don't like so much... OAO;;

Another thing that occurred to me is that maybe he just felt like Koha was the only one he could graduate at this time. MM has been at a stalemate for two years, a beloved stalemate, but a stalemate all the same. It needs new life. Then they might be invited back on Utaban or whatever. Obviously, Takahashi and Gaki are main candidates when it comes to graduating, just because they both hold the longest time in MM and would be successful in whatever else they do. But if a new member is to join, you need that stability. I think if either of the Gokkies (wow, I haven't referred to them as that lately) were to graduate and a new face came in, the group would be at huge disadvantage.
Takahashi and Gaki are stable. They bring in a lot of the popularity of the group and hold it vocally. Tanaka basically runs the show, and it's hard to run into a Japanese wota who doesn't worship the girl. Shige has that idol appeal and her looks alone pay for much of the group. Kame is just coming into her own and has proven she's a force to be reckoned with. And the eighth gen are just getting started. There's no way they're ready to go yet.
So even though Koharu is popular and has the success of Kirarin Revolution bringing in plenty of fans, she's not as naturally charismatic like Gaki is, or as good a singer as Takahashi. I think, and even though I'm mad at Tsunku I do make it a point to see all sides, that Tsunku felt pressured to graduate someone and Koharu was the one that would have the least negative results. Negative in terms of sales and whatnot, but doesn't that happen every time someone graduates? We know that our favorites will graduate eventually, so we have to brace ourselves for that moment and be willing to support the group even after our favorites leave.
Maybe if more fans did that, it would be Takahashi leaving and not Koha.

kusumi shouldve been given the spot light period. she never at anytime lived up to the miracle member because of ai and reina. really, when have we seen a in momusu special for koha? she got lines right when she joined momusu which may have been thumbs up, but soon after, she didnt get anything. she still gets one line. gaki sayu eri and even the pandas get more than her, maybe even aika since LA. she never the actuall center, the main vocal, or the talk show announcer D: or musume blog holder. Tsunku left the hole of letting a big shot go himself. if he gave less high puffy skirt shots of sayu, or givin all the lines to ai and reina, we wouldve had koha. but either way, i blame him for the apocalypse. kusumi is always gonna be #1. then jun2. then mari. then nono. then kamei.

Loki has a good point.
Its the most reasonable I've read since this whole thing and it makes the most sense in the matter. I think it would mean a lot to everyone if the whole truth about why exactly she's graduating came out, without any contradicting blogs or statements.
I also agree that pretty much every Japanese Morning Musume fan pretty much worships Reina (just beginning to see why) and they're just beginning to notice Eri more same as Risa.
@Sora;; At the beginning Koharu was noticed a lot of the time and got a lot of the solos after Miki, Ai and Reina were chosen; it seems that Koharu got more solos and more of the spot light then Konno or Makoto did in their entire MoMusu career.

Yeah, SCxL speaks the truth. xD Koha was one of the leads. I mean, she never got as many lines as Takahashi or Tanaka, but she got a lot more than most of her seniors. And in photos, don't they normally arrange it with Koha, Takahashi, and Tanaka in the front row? Apparently she was important enough to share a row with the elites instead of being pushed to the back row like the eighth generation.
So yeah, she may not have been the center in a song or anything, but she was a key player. She got her own solo career, for crying out loud. I mean, how many other Musumes can you name who has consistently gotten solo songs at H!P concerts?
In short, I have to disagree with Sora for a moment. She had her spotlight. Maybe not through MM singles, but she got it in other ways. Let's face it. Even if she didn't get that many lines towards the end, she's no Aika.

Makoto got a lot in the beginning, but she soon discovered she didnt have a high established fan base. she was the most talented, but sadly no one liked her D; lol i forgot to add konkon and mako xDD they r #8 (mako) 9. (konkon) but now when kusumi is actually wanted, she gets the axe D: u have to admit she just started getting licked like @ the beginning of the year Dx i love all musume D: i wish they could just be a 25 girl band Dx its already said they dont grow up, they grow younger xDD
