~Serin McCloud~

A groan passed her lips as she looked over, more Americans great. She shook her head as she looked at the fallen pilot. This is what she gets for helping? Now they are going to attempt to recruit me, blah, blah, blah. Same old bull s**t! she cursed to herself as she stood up in the tree. She watched as the man advanced toward her and the pilot.

She gave the pilot a wink as she then grabbed a hold of the branch, dropping from her standing position, she held the branch tightly as she looked down, her free hand holding her sword still. She looked up, then back down again. This was going to hurt, but it was better then being captured for god knows what.

Closing her eyes tightly, she let go of the branch, and as she fell her body began to spin in a perfect cartwheel, knowing that if she reduced the amount of momentum then her fall would be less traumatic, and less painful.

Serin landed on the ground with what looked like effortless concept, she then looked at the approaching army, hearing his 'advance' she cursed to herself. "God dammit, why can't the military bastards just die!" she hated the military with a passion, they took her family away, her perfect like.. Everything she had gone because of power hungry, egotistical assholes.

Without further thought, she made her way to the docked ship, on it's way to sea.. Smirking all the way as she watched the soldier's check on the fallen Pilot, they would be more worried about the gifted flying boy, then a rebel such as herself. She watched with satisfaction as the ship drifted away out to sea, glad to finally be rid of the armies, at least for a little while.

Shane watched amused by Serin's escape. He laughed to himself knowing full well that sinking the ship with the mech would be a breeze. He let it go. how could he sink it when the girl had been so cunning to get away. The fallen pilot was fine to his surprise. "If you want , follow with us and we'll get you back on the first supply run from the choppers." Shane smiled. waiting for the pilots response. Shane smiled again at the amusement of Serin's escape. "Two hours till sundown!!" "Keep heading east !" The soldiers assembled ready to march again.

With the help of the random girl who stumbled upon him, and the military help, he was able to get down from the tree. First thing he did was put his knife back on his person, then, he removed his his helmet. "Thanks for the assist Sarge. Glad you found me, rather then those damn Russians or Rebels." He got behind some of the armored men, most of which have never seen a pilot in his flight gear, and in the field. He got behind the troops line, all he had was the MP5, and that only had one clip. If all went well, he wouldn't need to use it.

With a sigh that sounded more like a groan a long blue haired man, in the prime of life moved towards the area the blonde haired bloodied woman had just left. “From the looks this will be quite entertaining.” He said softly, making sure to keep his voice down in case she was still around. His hand went to his face rubbing it softly. “And here I thought I’d get to kill those damn dogs.” He muttered brining his hand away from his face sighing again.

Slowly he walked out of the alley, following the direction the woman went. He wasn’t sure why but he did. She killed the soldiers but, it could have been just a ploy to lure him out into the open so they could kill him. However, if it was a trick, he’d kill all the idiots and do so with a smile on his face. Quickening his pace he moved closer to the woman, his hand on the handle of his gun. Just in case... Just in case things get bad. He thought to himself as he whistled towards her.

“Hey, girlie, slow down would you?” He asked his loud enough so she could hear him over the traffic and other natural noises. “I just want to talk so don’t fret, I am not with those stupid mongrels you... dealt with before.” He placed his hand on her shoulder and spun her around, her clothes covered in blood. After the state those bodies were in he couldn’t see her without blood on her. He couldn’t stand to see a woman covered in blood, not after what happened to his wife. “Here, take this will you?” He muttered taking off his jacket handing it to her.

Alaina sighed, putting the last sheet of paper she had been working on in the pile to her right and turning off her calculator. "There, finally." She said before swirling in her chair, placing her white officer's hat over her eyes. Looking back now, she couldn't believe that she went through what seemed like hell to be in this position. At least is paid off... Peterson thought to herself. Now she was where she dreamed she would be, MCPOC. Even though it was hard work, she was happy knowing that she had achieved the position her father had encouraged her to pursue.

Staring at the sea she imagined the new aircraft carriers that were currently being built stationed there, just like how it used to be. Crossing her arms, she had to admit that she felt honored to be one of E9 rank. Turning she sat at her desk again and pushed the pile of papers to the side to be picked up. Having nothing else to do for the day she opened her a cabinet and picked a random folder at the top, picking where she left off. Here she had the formal negotiations of the United Nations regarding nuclear weapons. After reading these reports for three years, Alaina had only one conclusion-- Japan had been right all along. Nuclear disarmament would have prevented the world's current condition, if only Russia and the United States had a clear discussion.

She was shaking, not only from the sight of the bodies but from the presence of another person. Who is he? He want to talk? Talk about … dealt with? I dealt with what? This is confusing. She took the jacket and gave it back to him without a word. I must leave this area soon, I can’t have something I have to give back to someone, but he does seem kind even though he has a gun. Her head still lowered as to not meet his gaze, she was afraid to look up and she something like the bodies from before. The difference between her two selves is a great distance indeed.

Light rain started to fall, only to get heaver quickly, a storm was approaching the city fast. She jolted at the sound of the first thunder and looked directly up, only to have her attention grabbed by another noise. Placing her hand on the mans around she moved herself to see behind him. There, behind a few of the half-left buildings was a mecha heading in there direction. “Mecha” she said in her quivering voice. The angle the Mecha was coming at they would soon come across the dead American soldiers but that was the last thing on her mind. Mech? Soldiers are bad aren’t they? But they can’t be all bad. Surely there are some good people in uniform? Her interior questioning trailed off as she realised the man was still there.

From the rubble of a breaking down building, Mathew took the last breath of his cigarette. Stabbing into the grimy wall beside him, he lifted himself to his knees, gripping the sniper rifle that lay mounted on the window. The glass had already been smashed open to let the barrel through, although most of it's length stayed in the building. Mounting the weapon, he let the gun lie comfortably underneath his arm, keeping it stable as he leaned down to sight through the scope. He didn't think he'd need to worry about any patrols; there were only a few soldiers left, and even though the shot could be heard for miles, he had already planned an escape route.

The glare of the setting sun cast a deep orange haze across the ocean's dark waters. A skeleton of a nearby city shadowed over a length of forestry, painting it dark with grotesque shadows. Reaching out, Matt changed the lens on his rifle to get a closer look. At the next level, he could see a boat leaving on the waters. A slight push to the left, and he could see a passenger on board; a woman, young, with a melancholy look on her face. Her hair danced mesmerically in the wind as the boat began it's journey. Matt knew he could easily stop the boat; a few shots of his gun would tear apart it's insides like warm butter.

But his main focus was the band of American troops that had collected in the deep forestry. Changing the lens again, he could get an even closer look, close enough to read the insignia on each soldiers medals. Close enough to make out each bolt in the joints of the mecha. Pushing the weapon as light as he could, he shifted the view over a couple of metres. At the first glance, he counted around 30 soldiers; they would all scramble by his third shot at least. the main threat however, came from the mecha's automated systems; one shot of Matts gun, and it would already have an idea where he was. The stupid machines could make a mere house pet into a soldier, with all it's different systems and sensors. Mathew was built on experience and training; he wasn't going to let the machine get the better of him. Choosing his target, he squeezed the trigger.

The first bullet exploded from the rifle, screaming as it tore through the air. The gun's hefty recoil forced against Mathew's body, but he had become accustomed to this torture. Pushing back on the gun, he realigned his gun and ignited another bullet in a few seconds. The bullets he had projected screeched through the air, echoing into the distance. His position given away, Mathew lifted his gun back onto his shoulder, heaving the giant rifle. His skin closest to the rifle's boiling barrel had began sweating profusely, reddening with the heat. Scars, where he had accidentally let the rifle fall against his bare skin and make contact, flared across his neck and face, until it reached underneath the eye patch he wore. The gun took many lives, but if it's owner wasn't carfully, it could destroy him as well.

~Serin McCloud~

Serin sighed as she turned away from the docks. She could see the rolling waves, this would be a very choppy trip. She sighed as she began to slide down, looking around on the ship she so quickly took refuge too. To her surprise it was Russian, military.. great... she quickly placed her hand to her forehead, looking around.. The only thing she could do was.. jump. She wasn't being recruited by Russian, American. Hell even Japan if they still existed.

She stood over the edge of the ship, she was going to have to throw herself into the water, or risk being pulled under by the drag of the waves, jumping ship was dangerous, and the impact was going to sting. But there was nothing to it, but to do it. So just like that, she let go of the railing, falling a good 15 feet into the water.

She landed in the icy chills with a breath taking splash, the water rushing over her head, causing her to go under. Luckily she grabbed a breath before she was drug under. She watched the ship move above her, it was a safe distance away. So she propelled herself upward, her lungs burning from lack of oxygen. But she knew how long she could with stand holding her breath 2 minutes 54 seconds.

She finally reached the surface, taking in a breath full of beautiful air, her lungs thanking her by ridding the dull sensation. Then she heard the shots.. So the Russians found the Americans, and they where at the docks. She growled, hoping that maybe her brothers wouldn't be with them, she couldn't face them right now.

Once she caught her breath, she began to swim into shore. Each stroke bringing her closer and closer. She only had to stop once, letting her muscles rest, or she would get a crap.. Pain in the morning. God this sucks! she screamed at herself as she finally made it to the shore line, she was a little ways from the docks, but she could still see the falling troops, hear the gun fire and men screaming. The war had finally reached Ireland.

A knock brought Alaina out of her dream and back to her office. "Door's open." She said casually, looking up to see a sailor in uniform. Hearing a report that there was Russian presence near Ireland she asked for any other information, and was surprised upon hearing that American Marines were there as well. "Don't make any moves." She instructed, going back to the report before her. "Even if the Marines came from the Navy, we won't baby them unless they ask for help. They have their own branch now, just be ready in case they call for any back up or assistance of any kind." The sailor saluted in return and closed the door behind him. As Alaina returned her attention to the article she looked out of her window, seeing the rain patter on the glass as compared to when she looked at the cloudy sky earlier.

The man looked at the woman and groaned. “Mecha huh, must my luck.” He looked back towards the Mecha and sighed softly. “Well, it can’t be helped I guess.” Turning in towards another alley he headed inside. “Follow me if you want. If not, deal with that thing on your own.” He said pointing his finger back at the mecha before departing deeper into the alley.

Once far enough in so he could not be seen by foot traffic he reached inside his jacket and pulled out a small metal device. “Well old friend, looks like we’ve got another one on our hands.” He muttered softly pressing a black button on the side of the device. “Come out and have your taste my friend.” As he spoke a soft rumbling was felt, sort of like a small earthquake spreading from his position.

The building to his left was blown apart as a mecha about the size of a two story house shot out of the ground. This mecha was painted completely black, a pair of black metallic wings attached to the back. On its arms was a pair of scythes that seemed to absorb the light around them. Turning back towards the woman he smiled as a small cord dropped down from the middle of the mecha. “Offer still stands kid.”

She looked at the new mecha horrified then at the man then the huge mech. Turning to face the man she yelled out “I’m not getting in that death trap and you shouldn’t ether! Fighting will only get you hurt!” The heavy rain made her hair cling to her face and washed away most of the blood. “Killing only makes people hate one another more!”

She pointed back at the mecha than at the building where the loud shots where being fired from. “What do you think caused these two to want to kill each other!? Killing! More killing will only hurt more people! God! In these two years the only thing there seems to be in this world is destruction! I have seen towns massacred, families torn apart and innocent people killed! Now you want to join the killing? You should be ashamed of yourself!”

“Listen here lady!” He snapped moving closer towards her. “My family was killed by the God damn government! I am killing them so they don’t kill innocent people! If you want to stand here and watch the death toll rise, then fine by me!” Turning away he walked towards his mecha. “This is your last chance girly!” As he spoke his hand grabbed onto the cord.

Stupid waste of space woman... She’s going to get her a** killed. Turning away from her he sighed softly. I can’t see her killed, she’s a woman. “Ma’am, listen. I only kill those who deserve it. I promise you that, now be smart and get in this thing!” He looked away, back up at his mecha then at the other one. “People are getting killed and you’d have me stand by as the innocent people die at the hands of dogs of the government?”

“You think that just because those soldiers fight that they are bad? Most of them would have been recruited against their will or are just trying to save lives! Your theories make you just as unorthodox as the government! They took away you family but what about the families of those you are about to go and kill? You want to make innocent people safe? Your just going to make them suffer!” This was truth and anyone would have to admit that hurting someone would also hurt those close to them. She crossed her arms and pouted “All your doing is leaving a wound open. Its going to cause you and everyone else pain and suffering.”

PostPosted: Sun Sep 20, 2009 5:30 pm

“No, you’re wrong it’s not causing me pain. You don’t want to come then stay there and die like a piece of trash!” With that he climbed into this mecha and started it up. “Come on big boy, lets show those idiots what we’re made of!” grabbing hold of the handles he pressed them foreword causing the mecha to fly off in the direction of the enemy.

((Sorry it sucks...))

Daisuke walked from the building with no helpful information whatsoever. To his surprise, he was surrounded by soldiers. "Must this be done the hard way!?" He said with a sigh, drawing his sword. As the soldiers charged him, Daisuke leaped into the air landing with his foot in one of the soldiers faces. He ran across shoulders and helmets as he made his way to the back of the crowd. "Caio!" he remarked as he quickly ran off around a corner. the soldiers were troublesome and brainwashed. They didnt understand what they were fighting for, blinded by patriotism or forced labor. Daisuke hung his head for a second. He found more and more reasons to end this war everyday. He heard gunshots coming from a building not to far from where he was and headed in that direction.
