Mike looked in disgust at Chris. "You're supposed to tell Bethan, who will put in some plan of action or whatever." Mike glowered. "I need new friends. I'm off to find your wife." Mike walked away, frustrated at his friends lack of support. He pulled Bethan away from the group subtly, evading Harri's notice, and tugged her over to Chris.
"Yo, Bethan, you can read my mind right? It's easier than saying it out loud." he grimaced, and concentrated his thoughts on the last few months he had spent with the girl he loved - the drunk girl he loved.

[[Did I mention I've officially died Harri's hair now? It's blue-black, with red streaks.]]

Harriet wandered around, looking for people to make Mike jealous with. Walking over to the treeline, she spotted Nayt.
"Hey," she called in a low voice, trying not to distract the couple by the fountain. She walked over to him and grinned, her long hair over the side of her face, not dissimilar to Nayt's eyepatch.
"I haven't seen you around lately. How've you been?" She was wearing converse and black skinnies, with a red tank top, matching the streaks in her dark hair.

[[NICK!]] Nick was making his way down the corridor, about to go join the congratulatory crowd outside, when he saw Annita about to go into her room. He grinned, and went over to her. "Hey!" he said, grinning.

Nick shrugged. "I'm okay. I was just on my way down to mingle in the crowd all celebrating down there. I'm glad we didn't get old Cally," he said, using the stern lady's nickname, "We'd never get away with half the stuff this school does if we had." he grinned. "What about you? How've you been?"

Ava smiled and held her hand out. She thought the ring was beautiful. Her mind was racing and she managed to say, "I would prefer a long engagement. If that's okay with you!"

Annit giggled and nodded. "Yeah, definately." She smiled. "I've been..." Her sentence trailed off. What had she been doing? "Fixing things. Lately my laptop and ipod broke, so I had to fix it. Sounds boring, I know."

Ava laughed. "But I still want you to have some decision in it!"

Bethan frowned. "She needs to go cold turkey." she smiled as Christopher came up, looking despondent. "Christopher, think you can hide your thoughts from Harri? She knows my mind better than her own or I'd do it." He nodded. His mental powers were probably stronger than Bethan's, due to his training at the Institute. "Mike, don't worry. We won't hurt her, just annoy her... When she's recovered enough form the drink that her powers work fully again, she'll get out of there. In the meantime, we'll keep her in the basement room. We can move her stuff down there." She took a deep breath. "Christopher, babe, can you tell Harri to meet me down there; I need her help with this machine. I've moved it to another room for better security."

Java grinned, and kissed her again. "I'm just glad you said yes."
Suddenly a piercing scream came from one of the windows on the upper floor. "Kara!"

Java rushed alongside Ava, taking the stairs two at a time, and sprinting to Kara's door. Opening it, he gasped. "Ava?" he said, "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

Kara stood in the centre of the room, breathing carefully, looking over herself. The box of jewellery and clothes her mother had sent over for when she was older was open, the lid tossed away, with glittering cloths strewn around it. She had on a purple and gold sari, with glittering patterns embroidered on it in gold thread, and all the gold jewellery her mother had sent over as well. Sparks danced off her skin and round her head, and her skin was glowing golden. Most importantly, however, she'd aged by about 10 years, giving her the appearance of a pre-teen.
"Um, Javed, I can explain... actually..." she frowned, the expression looking odd on her new face, "I don't really remember." she had a clipped Anglo-Indian accent, that came from behind perfect white teeth. "I know it was fun..."
She blinked, testing out her powers, which had developed with her body. "Oh, and congratulations Ava. You know, Javed's been planning to propose for weeks."

Lilia teleported out of the room when Kara screamed. It had been easy to persuade the baby Kara to stay still when she injected the ageing serum. But the memory-erasing, after they'd played 'dress-up', when Lilia'd gone into her mind... Kara hadn't been too keen on that.

Ava gasped and cupped both of her hands over her mouth. She nodded slowly. "Uhmm...Java? How exactly are you going to explain this to your parents?" She removed her hands and laid them down on her sides. She stared at Kara and then blinked.
