yes that is complete b.s what prince harry did. when my history class was talking about it my history teacher was like "that was really stupid of him, and he didn't think, poor taste.... but he's still really hot" I was so pissed off I was thinking to myself "So what we will brush this under the rug just because of his place in his country and his image. that is complete bull s**t, that was uncalled for, and should be punished."
that was before he gave the apoligy though, so i don't know anymore, because i haven't heard anythign since then.

You syntax is very original, so sorry if I've misunderstood, but are you suggesting that he should have been punished for it?

It should be realised that, by wearing the Nazi outfit, he didn't intend anything disrespectful. However, his choice of costume is, nonetheless, extremely STUPID!!! scream

Seeing as that the Swastika is banned from Germany, and that praise of the Third Reich is a Punishable Offense. though I feel I should bring up the point again, He wore it to a BAD TASTE PARTY. it was meant to be in BAD TASTE. he just didn't realise that someone would take a photo of him, and have it broadcast around the world within a few Days. or even be that big of a deal. it was meant to be in bad taste, not offense.

I am with Germany on this one. Banning the swastica is not a bad idea. But it was originally a religous symbol so there would have to be a way for people to display it religously.
And it is stupid for prince harry to dress up like a nazi. It's really not funny. One of my friends was going to dress up as a KKK member for halloween, but that is a really bad idea since there are alot of racist kids at my school and people would think that they were real. Not to mention how offensive it is

Banning a symbol promotes sweeping it under the rug and forgetting what has happened. Moreover, banning a symbol is a difficult thing to do. Additionally, it seems awfully silly to be all up in arms about something a man did at a costume party knowing it was in bad taste. Personally, I would have done more, what with saluting the camera and getting just the right facial hair. Accepting that these things happened is key to preventing them, and being able to take a joke about the darker parts of life makes them that much easier to bear.

Screw what they think, we'll have freedom of expression thank-you-very-much.

punkwillow yeah sure.. why not think clear before putting on clothes huh?? don't u guys think that this is a shame?? I mean.. he is the 3th person in line of the throne!! what do you think of "famous" people wearing these kind of clothes? I don't see why so many people got riled-up. Honestly, it was a COSTUME party! I, at least, think that you should be allowed to dress up as whatever you want when you're goin to a costume party! (Though I do still think it was quite distasteful.) sweatdrop

punkwillow LONDON Jan 13, 2005 ? Jewish groups and lawmakers criticized Prince Harry on Thursday for wearing a Nazi uniform to a costume party, with one group urging him to visit the Auschwitz death camp, despite an apology from the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 20-year-old prince apologized Wednesday in a statement after a British newspaper printed a picture of him wearing the uniform with a swastika armband while clutching a cigarette and a drink at a party on Saturday.
In the statement, Harry said he was "very sorry if I caused any offense or embarrassment to anyone."
"It was a poor choice of costume and I apologize," he added. yeah sure.. why not think clear before putting on clothes huh?? don't u guys think that this is a shame?? I mean.. he is the 3th person in line of the throne!! what do you think of "famous" people wearing these kind of clothes? I can belive it his dad gave him a nazi scum influince
