*Shrug.* To me, karma -- at least, in the context you're using, the common context -- is just an Eastern-sounding label for "what goes around, comes around" ... or Newton's third law, for the scientists wink . And a label is only a label, not an explanation.
I won't say that destructive forces enter the world by effect every time we sin, but I'll certainly say that there was one time where this happened. Probably a lot more, but I lack the infinite knowledge and the imagination to type out a few.
And to pick on your clothing example ... I believe God can care about such things, but usually doesn't. I give a rather silly example: I have a T-shirt with the Nerv logo on it. Last time I wore this to go out of town, I got a half-dozen people asking me where I'd gotten it. As a result of having to talk to all of them, I was delayed in my schedule. Perhaps that was God's way of making sure I wasn't at a given intersection when an accident happened ... or maybe He wanted me to mention Jesus to a certain person who was interested in the show.
BUT, 90% of the time, I've not had any comments 'pon that shirt. It was only one day. So, I tend to believe He can use such situations, and occasionally does ... but most of the time, if it doesn't play directly into His plan, He doesn't worry about it. He just makes sure you have clothing and food (as Jesus discussed) adequate to His plan.
All I know is, I'm not wearing that shirt out-of-town again.

Eh.. I dunno. I just pray to God for protection every morning and arbitrarily choose what I wear or eat.

Mm...I don't know if we can know any of that, I guess. I tend to think that God cares about us and what's good for us and the trivial matters don't enter in, but I don't think it would make a difference in my life if He did decide "It should rain now." And if every one goes when it's their time, and weather contributes to their deaths, I guess that's something that God would be interested in. Say I skid off the road into a tree because it's raining and that's how I die; was it raining so that I'd die then?
It's something interesting to think about, but I don't know if it's worth tension.
