If Gaia made a dumb button to where I could select how many threads I want to delete in the forums, this place would probably be more livelier. Clicking on one thread at a time is really annoying.
Anyway, changing my Major from Graphic Design to Mechanical Engineering. Love to take stuff apart and put stuff back together. Although I might just double major, we'll see how the work load goes.
Mechanical Engineering, huh? Pretty big shift there. (How many years is Mechanical Engineering? Is it 4 years like most majors or is it 5 or so?)Yeah. Hopefully it's just that we're all busy. xD

Honestly, I don't know, probably four I think. I want to talk to a counselor before I fully make this decision, right now I'm still on the Graphic Design path. But I don't just want to jump into the path without discussing it first with a counselor.
Yeah, talk to a councilor first. (You're what, 2nd year?) Because it would be best to see how much work you have to make up. (Case in point, I have a friend at a different university then me, and she switched from a Bio-Chem major, to a Pharmacy major. [Separate schools over there, though I think it's fundamentally the same...] Either way, she has to spend an additional year there to play catch up now.)

Hmm, hopefully they're still friends.
Yeah that's my plan. I had already had a small plan in case something like this happened. That was to take English and Math classes as much and as high as possible. The English one I'm doing still, but Math I haven't had time to squeeze in. But yeah, I will talk to a counselor. I probably wont be able to switch since I already took two Art History classes last semester. Those classes basically just put me in the hole. So what I'll do is just make it my minor and see where I can fit the classes if I have time.

If you can't make it your major, it does seem like a good idea to make it your minor. Especially if taking two Art History course basically locked you in to Graphic Design.

That's probably what I'm going to do. Physics was blown out the window when I couldn't get all the formulas right. Xp
Plus, like everyone says, I'll probably be in college for the rest of my life. Sounds like a good idea to me since I LOVE learning new things, just the money problem.
Need a good job in order to make that dream come true.

I'll be in school for the rest of my life as well, but for a different reason.

Imagine if they had that as a major! Studying anything you want! AND GETTING PAID! Haha!
Well of course, you'll be a teacher! What grade do you plan on teaching?

The PRAXIS series is tests that need to be taken if someone wants to enter a teacher certification program. You have to pass with your states minimum score, with the Para-professional (PRAXIS I) and the Subject exam. (PRAXIS II. For me it would be Social Studies)
And yes. Therapy. I need it. And hopefully they won't want to put me on anti-depressions right off the bat like the one session I had. ._.

He officially quit, but I think he still lurks sometimes. Not sure.
But yeah, college stuff. I've been thinking about switching to English Education. Mostly because I have no idea what I'm going to do with my English degree as it is.
Oh right, this thread's supposed to be about things that made me smile. . . Umm. . . killing Vista . . . with Ubuntu. So that I could put XP on it. That was 48 hours of technogeek fun.

Had it been up to me I would have probably smashed the damn thing with a baseball bat after the first hour of frustration. Luckily the nerd boy doing most of the work for me advised against it.
As for the teaching, I haven't switched yet, but I'm thinking about it. I still have to see how much longer I'll have to go if I switch. xP
