Tirien IrukaYuywell but I can't use it cuz my parents sort of don't know I still have it (I was supose to get rid of it. Mom's orders) Yipes... I hate it when parents don't let their kids play video games >_< I know what you mean, but it bothers me more when parents let their little kids play really violent (and stupid in my opinion, but I won't go there) games like GTA and then flip out later when they think the kid has violent tendencies. Gee! You think! Oh, sorry about the tangent, but most parents today are sooooo stupid, that it bother me. If our generation is messed up, I blame it on lazy, stupid parents...

Yeah, although it's not completely a parent's fault if their kids are stupid, generally they have a lot to do with it..

Exactly! *gives you a high five* Kids can't BUY M-rated games, so that means the parent is getting it for him or some friend loans it to him. And you'd think that a responsible parent would keep on eye on what their kids were doing... it's like letting them into an R-rated movie then suing the director because her kid learned to say "********" from it.

Something I want to add though, is that the controversy around video games isn't a new phenomonon. Every medium has been accused of causing the young'uns of doing bad things. Parents always find a scape goat if they hear of children doing bad things. I am most certainly not saying that playing violent video games will make you violent, however when you are really little, and you see a game where, I dunno, you roundhouse someone, a little boy or girl might take it in their heads to do it to their little siblings. That is where the problem lies. At any rate, parenting is the only way to keep kids safe and healthy.

Like when some school shootings have happened in the past, Fox news was like, "Uh.... Marilyn Manson! And video games! And your chocolate ice cream!"

Marilyn Manson! And video games! And your chocolate ice cream!" Tee hee! xd Yeah, that is of course the truth. Actually though, in at least one case (Columbine) I have read articles that pretty much say that the kid who was in charge (two boys eventually carried it out, but one of them just had anger issues, the other was the total brains behind it) was a total psycho, who had the textbook personality to eventually become a serial killer of some kind or another, so it was only a matter of time before he did something totally drastic like this. At any rate, blaming one factor for a kid's behavior can never describe things entirely. A human being is far too complicted to blame one thing on his entire personality.

I play pretty much any kind of game, but RPG, Action/Adventure (MMBN 1, 2, 3, 4), and Driving games are my favs. Can't say I have much affection for sports games though. The only one I ever play is NHL 2004 over at my friends. And that's just because I'm damn good at winning fights, scoring goals and body checking people to next wednesday.

Marcus Brigstocke Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all run around in a darkened room munching pills and listening to repetitive music...
