Lord Narcissus Reeves Meacorme Reeves Good. Gravy. I've been looking at my book of song lyrics. I have...(counts) 75 sets of lyrics to choose from. Out of over 120 sets of lyrics I've written since August 31st. gonk <******** class="clear"> ...That's it! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY CREATIVELY INSANE....That's a good one! Creatively insane Looking over my book at the window pane... (guitar) Reeves...
You do realize that if I am going to win this, I'm going to have to kill you.
-__- You can try to beat me down But fail, you surely will And I'll still be clowning around With my mad poet skills cool Bwaha.

Ew!
What am I talking about!
I suck at everything!

And the world'll be better off, I assure you.
But hey, Self-loathing Narcissist here.

Mehehehehe.
I just got out of the shower and thought of another poem to submit. This one's all in good fun, though. Not to be judged. It's probably more of a lyric than a poem, though. ^^;
Burnination
BURNINATION! TEMPTATION! ASIAN INVASION! MIGRATION! EMULATION SENSATION SWEEPING ACROSS THE NATION!
So I'm walking to school one day (Though in real life I don't, but that's okay!) And out of nowhere, I hear screams and shouts, I start to run, looking for someone to help out.
And I see, to the right of me A huge bonfire, a burning of a tree A load of Asians, dance their out their hearts galore! As they sing, cheer, scream until their lungs are sore.
BURNINATION! TEMPTATION! ASIAN INVASION! MIGRATION! EMULATION SENSATION SWEEPING ACROSS THE NATION!
I look at the dancers curiously And think to myself, Are they doing this seriously? I wondered if I should stop them Until among them, I see my friend, Jem!
"Jem!" I shout, "What the heck are you doing?" And Jem looks at me and moves his hands like he's shooing! Shooing me away, how dare he! Joining these people, and making them see
A

...(dies laughing) Oh, man, that was classic!
Here's a song by me, because I feel like it...
Melodramatic Romance by Belinda Roddie
The king, concealing his pride, asks to the girl to come inside, kisses her hands and neck and whispers lyrics to a song. Then, taking her in her gossamer gown, he leads her to a dungeon deep down and in the torchlight tends to her all night long.
Melodramatic romance oh well melodramatic romance
The guards arrive upon the scene, eyes upon their brand new queen. The old one's not too happy, packs her bags and leaves the town. Then two years later in ember light, the king kisses his love good night, and traitors to the throne will send him six feet underground.
Melodramatic romance oh well melodramatic romance
Shakespeare could have written a tragedy like that, but would the essence be there in the lovers' summer dance? Handwritten words on dry parchment aren't strong enough for that, it's the essence drawn together that makes a good melodramatic romance.

Reeves ...(dies laughing) Oh, man, that was classic! Here's a song by me, because I feel like it...it's called "Melodramatic Romance", of course. The king, concealing his pride, asks to the girl to come inside, kisses her hands and neck and whispers lyrics to a song. Then, taking her in her gossamer gown, he leads her to a dungeon deep down and in the torchlight tends to her all night long.

Erm...
Hey Reeves... wanna... take a bath?
While you scrub up I'll get some toast...for... you...
Yes.

...Just for that, no toast for j00. And I'm putting down another song. Bwahahahaha. BWAHAHAHA!
Numbers by Belinda Roddie
12 dancers in the sunset kicking up their heels 11 shots of romance as my hard head reels 10 crazy rock 'n' roll songs crashing in my ears 9 mental breakdowns left over from all these years
8 languages I'm speaking in, I'm getting looks And 7 sacred moments written down in books 6 steps into the future 'fore I start to crack 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, it's back
What's over is over, I don't give a damn I had a hunch that you'd never really understand The comets are all singing, but they're all out of tune The cold season's over, I'll see you after the monsoon
The boils on my fingers, they continue to swell My teeth are set on edge at the sound of 13 bells And we now that this psychadelic nightmare won't end It's 50 times I'll say it, and 100 times again
What's over is over, I don't give a damn I had a hunch that you'd never really understand The comets are all singing, but they're all out of tune The cold season's over, I'll see you after the monsoon
The cold season's over in the storm of the monsoon False numbers flashing in my head, I'll be seeing you soon

And here's another for all y'alls, slightly free-verse, sometimes rhyming: Inactive by Belinda Roddie Shield your eyes From the blazing sun that trickles golden lies See the trickster As he snickers, spreads his wings and flies away The buildings are all falling down The vacuum's raging, nothing's making a sound Your head is set to question mode
Open sighs Heavens wailing as the archangel dies Waste the moment That holds fast 'til there's nothing left but skies The chapel's relics crumbling And the aging pillars slowly tumbling down Your thoughts are reaching overload
Nothing really matters In a damp, abandoned world We've done nothing That's exactly why they left We've done nothing That's exactly why He left
Depressing enough for ye? biggrin

I was seriously considering entering this, as I love poetry and have dabbled a bit in it myself. Now, however, after reading all of the ones posted already I've determined that I haven't got a chance.
