Though it had been kept strictly off her expression, not wishing to show any sort of crack in her now drill Sargent approach, she had let out a soft sigh of relief deep down without the back of her conscious. She had not wanted to kick her daughter from this lesson. She had not wanted to see her stand off to the side when, as her mother, she knew how unfair it really would have been. She could have all most hugged the young demon scythe partner of hers when he had come rushing out of the blue to her before grabbing him in a headlock and making him wish he never showed his face for having to talk to her daughter in such a manner.
She couldn't show it, but she still hoped down in her heart Maka least knew how grateful she was to know she could still practice.
She was also quite proud of that interesting take on a Shinigmai Chop her daughter had developed. She'd have to remember to talk about that someday soon over a nice lunch.
With a face still showing little emotion to the scene in front of her, her green eyes slowly drifted to the right corners, glancing over to Stein at best she could without moving her head. She couldn't help flashing the other teacher a rather proud smirk that practically declared 'But of course, it wouldn't be me otherwise' before quickly placing that smirk back in it's place, turning her gaze back to the group of students. Her gaze had mostly focused onto Aeriel for a moment, debating over explaining her exact reasons to him so he quite understood why she could not back down on the options she had placed out for him. That was, of course, before she heard the calm collected, deep tone of Shinigmai-sama's son himself, asking the most perfectly cued question.
She would not explain to Aeriel. She would have to show him, as well as everyone else.
She shifted her arms up in front of her, clapping her hands three times to get everyone's attention as she glanced from face to face, her posture straight and stiff with a tone just as cold as before. "A wonderful question, as expected from a young Shinigami. I am sure with your advanced knowledge most of this will all ready make sense to you, so please bear with the explanation." She started before turning her back on the group, suddenly walking away at a nice, easy pace.
"This lesson will be entirely focus on the bond that resonates from weapon to partner. I will be using a physical workout to test how strong the bond is, how stable it is, how well both sides work. My class will consist of making your partnership stronger or letting it shatter. I will see just how strong you both are together and how to improve. I will teach you skills and tactics after seeing how you deal with an enemy on alien grounds."
Her motions paused and she swiftly turned herself, long blond locks being tossed messily around her slender form, as well as the soft curve of her shoulders as hard, jade shaded eyes locked onto the group. "This lesson will go as this: You have one chance, when I call your name, you and your partner, or partners, are to come after me. If you land a single hit on me, you automatically win the lesson and may not only leave for bed, you will also be allowed to skip my first day of my class with permission to do anything you please." Her left leg slid back on the ground and her body slightly turned to the side, her eyes staying focused on the group all the while. "However," Her eyes then drifted only to her fellow teacher who had so kindly come to assist her.
"If I hit you even just once, you automatically loose the lesson and not only receive a bad mark, you will be spending your after class time helping Stein-sensei in whatever he needs or asks of you. I like to call it servitude." On that the elft corner of her lips poked upwards, forming a sly smirk across her face.
"Now, if you all understand," She let a playfulness in her tone here, eyes a breeze brushing her hair and loose fabric of her fabric of her attire to the side of her. "Let the lesson begin! Maka, come!"

Maka gulps under her breathe. She facing her mother? The last person in the world she'll ever think of facing with. This scene was embarrassing and heart-stopping to her. Right now she is her teacher, not her mother. Seeing her daughter struggle against her, will it disappoint her. No. She'll be even more disappointed if she does not have the courage to fight. Remembering, she was once Shibusen top meister. It now time for her to show her what she's been doing while her mother was traveling the world. "Alright." She glares in determination and smiles. Her partner beside her scrambles to his feet and takes a sigh. "Are you serious.." he mumbles, she winces at what he said as he takes for a black and red bladed scythe. She stances and clutches the metal pole. This is going off a bad start between her and her partner. The uneasy feeling fell down to her stomach, a weight as if lead has formed on her chest. Another gulp, so many things going through her mind. Will she pass this lesson, or fail? Will it make her mother proud or just plain flat out disappointed. A voice echos from the scythe blade as a face take place of the reflection. "Oi. Your breathing and heart beat going of balance. Calm down, think positive..." The weapon grins at her, she tries to smile back. "Come on.." She gives him a big smile. "Now thats what I'm talking about! Lets do this! Alright?!" He shouted. She giggles and traces her eyes back at her mother. "Alright!" She shouts and digs feet into the ground leaning her weight forward and scrambles herself side to side confusing where she was gonna strike. Swinging the scythe but noticing. How fast her mother moves quickly. She winces and jump backwards away from her and slids. Keeping her eyes still locked on her mother. "She fast." He explained. "Really fast." A grin appears on her face impressed by her mother.

≫ Ðєατн τнє Kι∂ ≪ If you challenge me....
The young Shinigami crossed his arms, a frown spreading across his face.
So many different approaches.....so many variables in determining the proper method with which to face Maka's mother....so many risks, so many things to take into consideration.
This would be no easy challenge...for himself or Maka. Even for someone with his speed....even for someone with his power.....this wouldn't be a walk in the park. ..Of course, he could always keep his distance. But Kami had enough speed to dodge a majority of his long-distance attacks. He couldn't stay on the defensive forever. Chances are, he would have to resort to hand-to-hand combat....but.....there were so many risks along with that. Or maybe he was just over-thinking this.....
....You better kiss your soul goodbye

As touching as the brief moment between her daughter and her partner had been, she realized that any shift in her expression or thoughts now would only become problematic for her. As deeply as she cared for Maka mother, she could not see her as a daughter. She was simply a student during these lessons and nothing more. She would be treated as all the students would be, thus...
She would not hold back.
The instant Maka swung the scythe, her eyes narrowed into cold slits, making a fast side step to the left and away from the first attack as she sped forward after her, noticing the immediate retreat. Kami did not give her much time from the small talk between the duo before she was at them. She balled her left hand into a fist, her own wavelength quickly being wrapped around it as she went for strike towards Maka's abdomen, quickly turning her body after the first strike to whip her right leg around for the side of Maka's head.

Right here, Right now,...
.•≈ Maka Albarn
The young meister was caught in a difficult spot. She couldn't give up, the surge of sparks from her mother's wavelength awaken her with the pain. I have to defeat her... she mama but.... She knows for sure, this moment is important. Both skilled scythe meisters, one able to show the other all she got. It was time to show her mother, what she been doing all this year in Shibusen. As her mother hurdles a kick at her, quickly she lifts the scythe and blocks the kick with the scythe's pole. Her feet digging the earth beneath as she slides into a nearby tree. Leaning on the tree for support. Maka clenches her teeth and withered alittle clutching the pain in her chest. "Mak-"The scythe shakes around in her hand. "Remember what they've been telling us. Oi. MA-"The meister glares at the scythe and he sigh. "Pull yourself together my master. ♥" He teased. "Ha Ha." She places a foot on the tree behind her and pushes her weight off. She tries to gain speed as she jumps in the air, hurdling the scythe only few feet away from her mother. She quickly turns the scythe blade at the direction of her mother. The resonance surge throughout her and weapon. As he quickly take shapes of the witch hunter. The scythe stop changing, in a burst of energy in the air he changes back to normal, as surges of spark goes throughout her body. She got on her knees and tried to catch ehr breathe. "MAKA! You're lacking on wav--" The scythe stops in his sentence. Remembering what her mother did to Maka. His teacher hit his meister in a vulnerable spot. The wavelength punch must've caused a backtrack of Maka's wavenlength that circulates throughout her body. She clenches the scythe in her hands and gets back to her feet. She lifts the blade out the ground and spins the scythe in the air at her opponent. ..., I'm here to take your soul!

She froze into a defensive position after watching Maka's short shove back into one of the nearby trees, her right leg placed down ahead of her left, both feet firmly against the lush patch of earth. She balled her right hand into a fist now, bringing it up to level with her chest, keeping it close to her while her left hand hovered out further. She flexed the slender fingers outwardly before drawing them back to her palm, repeating the act to try and rid herself of the slight sensation that a raised after her first attack. It had been quite some time since she last used an attack like that with her bear hands, she didn't care for it. While Stein might have more uses for such means in battle, she preferred the strength which came with the union of partners in battle, thus this class. While these students have always had some understanding of what it is to be partnered, there was more than the black and white.
Weapons were not only Weapons. They were not second best to the Meisters themselves, without them not only are Meisters defenseless, they lack the special potential of having their wavelength synced and resonated in order to greatly strengthen their original power.
Meisters were required to wield these Weapons, to be trusted with their lives along with their partners. They were the decision makers, the ones to take the steps that either lead to victory or defeat. A Weapons power would be useless without the correct partner along side them.
The comfort a team brought, the bonds it created and the advantages it gave were greater then some of them may ever realize, but for the few that could....
She snapped herself from her line of thought then, noticing Maka and Soul's short conversation ending, as well as Maka beginning to gather herself from the tree. She knew she could have blown the whistle there on this. As unfortunately as it was, Maka had all ready lost the battle the instance her first collided. with her chest. And as her mother or not she could not make any exceptions to her own set rules, soemthing as outrageous as that was far from her mind. She could, however, allow Maka the chance of coming at her once more before she reminded her daughter of the rules. As a teacher, she wanted to gauge the extent of her power, get an understanding of why she Maka had won so much praise from her peers, what she had done with her time as a Meister for Shibusen. Her eyes narrowed coldly, snapping her head up as Maka leaped into the air, tensing her muscles in preparation for the oncoming attack.
Or what had been an oncoming attack. Keen senses noticed the imbalances as Maka began to resonate her wavelength with her partners, but before either, (or herself, for that matter) could do anything, she saw Maka hit the ground. She dug her feet hard into the ground there, holding herself back as calmly as possible from checking on her quite yet. She couldn't take care of her here, but.... She listen at the two as Maka once again gathered herself into a fight position. She had to give it to her, as short as it might have been, she had a nice stubborn streak in her.
"Maka Albarn." She addressed her daughter with the same robotic tone she had earlier, lowering her arms slightly. "Your one opportunity to with this lesson has ended. You may return home for sleep or take a seat and watch. You'll be attending your punishment after classes tomorrow." She directed her focus immediately off her daughter there, shifting her gazes focus over in the direction of the Shinigami, tilting her head to the side to motion him forward. "Death the Kid, come!"

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A slight smirk crossed the Death God's face upon seeing Kami's fist collide with her daughter's chest. That ended any chances of victory the scythe meister held, as the rules stated: You get hit, you're out. A more thoughtful expression crossed his face once Maka leapt up and attempted performing a witch hunter, only to fail and fall right back down to earth. "That looked a bit...painful," he thought to himself, now starting to uncross his arms. Amber eyes narrowed at his teacher, a serious expression replacing the one he currently held.
"Liz, Patti, transform!"
His two partners silently obeyed and with a flash of pink light, they morphed into Kid's Twin Demon Guns. The weapons landed in his open hands with a click, and his fingers wrapped around the grip frame, his pinkies slipping into the space between the trigger guard and the trigger itself. Upon hearing his name called, he dashed forward without waiting for her to say anything else. Kid swerved from side to side before darting to the right when he was only about 1 foot away from Kami. He then launched himself at her from her right side, moving to attempt to slam one of his pistols into the space between her ribs. He followed up with shots from the other one ( which happened to be Patti ), not really aiming for anything in particular.
After a few rounds had been fired, Kid twirled Patti in his hand before thrusting her forward in an attempt to shove the barrel into Kami-sensei's waist. Hopefully, he had actually succeeded in doing some damage to the extremely-talented meister. In all honesty, he didn't feel like helping Stein with anything, especially after class. He'd probably end up helping with dissections, experiments, and the like.
That alone gave him enough motivation to fight against his teacher in this way. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "If you fight with a Shinigami.... I can't guarantee the safety of your soul."

As to be expected, upon hearing himself called into the next round, he reacted with a blistering pace. Dark-green hues sharpened at the young Shinigami's approach, the irises rocking back and forth from each corner of her eyes to follow the zig-zagged movements towards her until she noticed his jerk right at the last moment. Immediately she twisted her right side back to dodge the first strike at her, following the turn up quickly with a leap further back and away from Death the Kid, placing space between herself and the blazing shots. She had to keep herself in constant movement, to be expected from Shinigami-sama's son, even though he was young and a student of Shibusen, he was extremely talented in the art of both close-ranged and long-ranged combat.
Obviously she had taken the time prior to this special-classes commencement to do a bit of dabbling into who would exactly be in her class beyond her own daughter, it had been quite the impressive list all around, however... No matter who was in it, her current opponent was a very special case.
So, she made very special plans for dealing with him.
As the firing came to a stop and he came at her with a low hit, she flung herself up into the air above and over the young Shinigami's head, tucking her feet in before swinging her right leg around with the rest of her body, aiming the side of her anle for the side of his head before landing crouched behind him, palms digging into the earth briefly to locate a rope she had tied earlier on beneath the soft soil. Without a second to spare she gave it a firm tug, causing a rustle in the near by trees before several none being any thicker than the trees around them flew out from the lush greenery at their left, all tied at their center at a scattered pattern of higher and lower lengths. They weren't deadly, the wood was large but flat, clearly only made for a knock-out strike, maybe bruise to slow them down. Not that... The idea of her possibly thinking ahead to breaking one of these students ribs really made it seem anymore friendly.
