"You get back out here broomhead!" She glares down at him. but the corners of her lips twitch slightly upwards. "Damn right you're wanted! Where have you been hiding?" She puts her hands on her hips "You left me and Milly waiting around. Did you forget that you promised to come back to us?"
She glances at the other man "Hello Livio. Looks like you found our elusive freind."

"In my defense a lot of stuff has been goin' on.."
He slipped a gloved hand to the back of his head and scratched lightly, feeling a little guilty. He had promised, he remembered that much. Now towering over the flaming femme fatale, a small grin appeared in the corners of his face and he nodded towards her.
"Good to see you're back on the charade again.."
His glance now centered on Livio, observing his blank expression. Blushing slightly he puffed out his chest to perform a manly disguise to what had just happened. He brushed a bit of dust off his shoulder and sighed.
"Aaah, insurance girls..where ever you go they are never too far behind.."

"I noticed, what happened to your brother? I thought you'd be with him." She settled on the stool next Vash and signals the bartender, "I'll have a cup of coffee if you've got it."

Vash looked down at her, slightly touched by her concern. He nodded and his brow narrowed into a determined sense of accomplishment.
"I left him in good hands..I trust he'll make the right decisions.."
A mystic veil of certainty clung to his words. His brother had to sustain a relationship with people to grow fond of them, as he did. It was only natural to put him in a situation similar to his own, to where he would be surrounded by people and cooperate with them.

She frowns, "Do you really think that letting him go his own way was wise? He may start regrouping."

(( This place just loses it at night, I've noticed. =.= But then again it's a sunday night..))

His bright eyes dimmed and settled their sights on the dusty ground. That 'what if' always bugged him. He had faith in Knives, but he was also unstable. Could he have really changed for the better? He didn't know. He didn't want to fathom what would come of it if his planned had capsized.

Meryl sips her coffee and sighs. "So are you going to be staying here for a while broomhead? Should I get myself a room?"

Vash blinked a few times before the question registered in his head. A gentle smile graced his face and he nodded.

She finishes her coffee and gets up. Looking at him sternly "Okay but I'm warning you. If you try to skip out on me you're going to regret it when I catch you again." She heads for the registration desk in the adjoining room.

His eyes widened and after taking a frightened gulp, he saluted for conformity and smiled warily.
"Yes Ma'am!"
Watching her retreating back, he slumped back onto his bar stool and heaved a heavy sigh. He turned to Livio and shook his head.
"Women, huh?"

Meryl gets her room key and heads upstairs. gloncing one last time into the bar. She sighs softly thinkng to herself *I know I promised Milly I'd tell him how I felt but I can't just blurt it out in front of everyone."
