Persephone walked slowly up the steps of the Astronomy tower, not watching where she was going. She had a star chart in her hand, and was turning it to the proper date and time. She opened the door and was surprised to find so many students there. She looked around and saw the familiar faces from her classes.
"Hey, aren't you a sixth year?" she said to the Ravenclaw boy sitting next to Emylee. "I don't mean to interrupt your conversation or anything, i was just wondering because i haven't seen you in the classes. why aren't you in the N.E.W.T. lessons?"

"Hey, aren't you a sixth year?"
Payton becomes startled by the voice behind him as he turns his head to see a girl talking to him. He excuses himself from Trista and Emylee before he walks over to the girl as she continues to speak to him.
"I don't mean to interrupt your conversation or anything, I was just wondering because I haven't seen you in the classes. Why aren't you in the N.E.W.T. lessons?"
"Oh, that's easy," Payton replied as he placed his hands in his robes pockets. "I'm in Advance classes and I'm still a sixth year, we don't take N.E.W.T.s till our seventh year. And as for going to class, I enjoy independent study and tutoring services of the Professors. I don't do well with crowds," he conclude and with that began to feel claustrophobic with his surrounding now that more people came up to check out the comet shower. If a few more students decided to come up, he would have to take his leave feeling overwhelmed by the environment.

Emylee smiled at Payton for being considerate of Trista and her. She watched him walk to talk to a girl that just entered the tower.

Laurel noticed Payton looking a little uncomfortable after speaking with Persephone, but she shrugged it off and continued to look at the night sky. Caught up in searching for the constellation Indus, her thoughts were interrupted when the stars seemed to ignite and shoot across the sky. Laurie jumped. "Guys look! The shower's starting!" Laurel looked back up in awe.

Everyone turned to watch the shooting stars as Laurel announced the shower had started.
"Actually, sixth years start taking N.E.W.T. classes as well. you should take NEWT care of magical creatures...it's just me in that class, so you don't have to worry about large groups," she whispered to the Ravenclaw boy, not wanting to disturb the others who were watching the night sky. "It's really fun, i battled an acromantula today...and accidentally set it on fire. It's your choice, though."

Payton looked around at the group of students that began watching the comet shower. He'd seen many before, but to be around when others were watching gave him a different feeling to know that others seemed to like the same things as him. He looked back at the girl who began talking about her classes.

Payton's eyes widened as the girl talked about battling a creature in her class. He gave a dry gulp, having a flood of panic surge through him. He wasn't that brave, let alone interested much in creatures. "Um...no thanks. I know that we take classes to prepare us for our N.E.W.T.s exam next year, its just I like the set schedule I have. It allows me to move at my own pace," he explained and then felt bad that he turned down the offer to be in her class. "Thank you for the invite. Maybe if I was in a different House I'd be a lot better in being out of my comfort zone."
With that Payton though he'd make a start, "I'm Payton Sykes," he introduced himself with his hand extended, "glad you could join us."

Emylee listened to e everyone introduce themselves. She noticed Payton grew uncomfortable when the girl spoke about arcomantula.

((OOC: sorry, I haven't been on much in the past few days.))
Trista chuckled softly when Payton came over in hope that the girls weren't bored. "Not at all, Payton. Just admiring the scenery." She turned to smile at him, then turned back to look out over the grounds as he went over to Sephie who had just entered.
When Laurel announced the beginning of the shower, Trista turned to watch where everyone else was, and watched the comets shoot across the sky in amazement.

Laurel walked over to sit down near Trista being as they both socializing with anyone at the moment. Still looking at the shower, Laurie made an attempt at small talk. "Hi." Very small talk that is.

"I'm Persephone Price," she said, shaking Payton's hand. "A lot of people call me Sephie though." She smiled and watched the comet shower for a moment, picking out the constellations she knew.
"There are so many stories up there..." she said quietly, halfway to Payton, halfway to herself.

"Sephie...interesting nickname," Payton admitted, being the first time he heard that name before. He released her hand briefly as she turned to look at the comet shower. He did also seeing the comets shoot across the sky is pairs or groups, some in the distance singular.
"There are so many stories up there..."
"I agree." The words slipping out of his mouth as if he was watching the stars put on a show for them. A grin appeared on his face knowing that it was a great night to be out looking at the comet shower, since the shower only comes around every few seasons. He turned his attention towards his friends that came up with him, he felt glad that they were enjoying their time up at the Tower. A gut feeling made him check his watch to see that they had a little more than hour left before curfew. With a sigh he moved to walk around the Tower, wanting to catch the different angles of the shower since the comets shot out in different directions.

Emylee looked around her and noticed how many other students were there. She squirmed uneasily, she didnt do good around people.. Maybe I should go back to the common room,Emylee thought to herself.

"Hello there." Trista turned to see Laurie sitting there next to her. She remembered seeing her a time or two before but never really talked. "Trista Finsteti, Ravenclaw fifth year. How about you?"

"I'm a fourth year Gryffindor," Laurel replied while stifling a gasp as a larger than normal comet shot across the sky. "Have you taken astronomy, or are you just here for kicks like me?"

Payton looked around to see the ending portion of the comet shower. With a sigh he turned to look back at the students and spotted Emylee sitting by herself while the others moved to talk to each other. He moved over towards her wanting to start a conversation with her, since the others seemed occupied.
"Hey, Emylee. What were you drawing earlier?" Payton asked, wanting to start a small conversation together.
