Harou, although just having met Kashin for the first time, felt assurance that he would live up to fill Azure's shoes. Harou would miss Azure being Hankage, but Kashin was more than capable of carrying out Azure's legacy.

Kazuma thought to himself while drinking his favorite beer, he also donned a cigar which he saved for special occasions.
"Chaos would be attacking soon, he's too smart to miss an opportunity like this"
Kazuma looked down at all the people gathered around the staged while he sat on a rooftop with a cooler filled with beer.
"Good, well at least I have a reason to drink to my content for today"
He took another puff as he scanned the smiling and cheering faces of Gaioh's people.
"It's always brightest before the storm"

*Soul did not really pay attention to Taka. He kept his eyes only on Kashin. He smiled, he laughed. His body was overflowing with happiness for hsi best friend. Tears were almost brought to his eyes, but he sucked them back into his ducts. He felt like a parent who has seen their child finally succeed. Soul slowly stood up and crossed his arms. He turned his head down to Manndar*
Thank you for the snack...
*Soul then turned his face to the side, looking at Taka*
You better watch yourself, kid, because i'll always be around.
*Soul then turned his head back to Kashin, and sighed*
I think i know who's getting a cellibratory((SP?)) drink...

Masamune looked on from the shade of a nearby stand of trees with a smirk. He had a good view of the stage from here, almost parallel to stage right, and he could see most of the crowd. His fingers idly strummed Rage's hilt as he watched the proceedings. He didn't really know Kashin all that well, but from what he knew of him, the choice was a good one. A better man there was not to be found in the whole village. But the timing seemed all wrong. Why had Azure stepped down at such a critical moment in the war? Something just didn't sit right in Masamune's mind, and from those familiar faces he could see in the crowd, he gathered a few others were getting the same feeling.
Still, now wasn't a time to rain fire on a friend's parade. He would congratulate Kashin personally later, when things quieted down. For now, he could join the festivities a little, so long as he kept his head down and his eyes open. He pulled a little-used flask from a pocket in his bag and uncapped it.
"Here's to you, Akuma. You're our new leader. Let's just hope you're up to the task." he said to himself, taking a sip of the liquor which, from the way it burned going down, may have been meant for one of Chaos' jutsu.
That stuff will kill you Said a familiar voice. It sounded like it was coming from behind him. Masamune didn't bother to look, he knew there was nobody there.
"Faster than my dealings with you? I think not, Djinn." he responded to nobody. He wasn't worried about being overheard. his seat was far enough from the main body of the crowd that anyone in it would have a tough time hearing him over the festivities.
That would depend largely on the nature of said dealings. Which reminds me, you owe me three tasks yet, and I've just the one in mind...
"Forget it. I'm not in the mood right now. Besides, there's the war with the white hand to think about first."
Indeed. I have nothing but time, flameling. Squander yours as you wish, but you will do my bidding before it is done. A word of warning to you, however. Your part in the war may be shorter-lived than you expect.
And then the voice was gone, leaving Masamune with a burning in his gut and a chill down his spine.
"Looks like I'll be drinking a bit more of this than I had planned tonight." he confided to himself, and took another pull from his flask.

Mosuke Kumagai AlthorEnchantor Westly was quiet during the ceremonies. As a ninja, he'd gotten a prime seat: somewhere on a roof somewhere. This had come as a complete surprise to him. Kashin... isn't a bad choice, I suppose. He'll do a job worthy of the title. I hope he's not still mad at me about that time I mouthed off to him in the middle of the ANBU office.He grimaced. I guess I'm just worried about the other side of it: why is Azure stepping down? Why now, with the enemy at the gates?
He promised me. He said that he would do anything to protect Gaioh and its people. That he'd never wanted to be Kage, but only felt that he was keeping the seat warm for someone who could better do the job.
Is that what this is? Will Kashin bring us justice?Westly smiled. "On with the ceremony," he said softly. "One can tell much about a leader by his first decree. I want to see Kashin's already."
"I'd have to agree with you," Shuji said in response to Westly's comment. "I remember when Kashin was just a Jounin giving the task of beating my team around during the Chuunin exams, and now here he is, the 3rd Kage of our village. I wonder, will we move toward peace, or will we all be chasing down Chaos for the rest of our lives?"Westly tilted his head to one side, the way a dog does when confused. He dug out a notebook suddenly, and flipped through it. A small collection of intel he'd gathered on the movers and shakers of Gaioh. The man sitting beside him wasn't in it. "Umm..." said Westly. Don't say "Who the hell are you", don't say "Who the hell are you?", don't say..."I'm sorry, who are you again? I don't think I recognize you."Dammit, Westly, that was NOT an improvement....

Spotting Westly talking to some stranger on a nearby roof Azran grinned slightly and then hopped up to join his teacher. "Hello sensai how are you today?" He asked Westly as he gave him a friendly wave hello.
Turing to Shuji he gave him a slight polite bow. "Hello sempai, I am Azran nice to meet you." He said introducing himself to the man who had obviously been a ninja longer then him and was thus technically an upperclassmen.
Glancing back towards Kashin Azran grinned at the speech he had made which was truly inspirational. "The new hanakage seems like a great man. He really makes me believe that peace will come this this village. I can only hope I live up to him someday." He said to nobody in particular.
Holding up a his bandaged hands Azran looked down at them while thinking deeply about what his role would be as a gennin of this village. "I may not be that strong yet.... but I vow to use all of my power to protect his village and it's people.... I won't let the hanakage.... I won't let Kashin down" He swore to himself

"Hanekage," corrected Westly. "It's pronounced Hah-Neh-Kah-Geh. You sound like a country bumpkin when you say it the other way, which is amusing, because according to your profile, that's what you are."
Westly rolled his eyes, laughing wryly. <"And I'm one to talk, aren't I?"> he said in what was probably either Welsh or Irish. Not like anyone else in this hemisphere spoke it. Although Shin did speak Portuguese....

Taka leapt off of the building behind the crowd and pushed his way through. He came out onto the streets and spotted Kashin. "Oi! Kashin!" He walked over to him quickly. "Great speach, man. Truely inspiring." He let out a short chuckle and patted Kashin on the shoulder. "I'm proud of you Kashin. Not just because you are becoming the Hanekage, but because you are my Clan leader, and more importantly, one of my best friends and you have risen from the time I met you when you were a Chunnin, to Hanekage. I feel like we've known each other forever, and yet it's only been four years since we've met."

Azran shrugged. "What can I say, guilty as charged" he said indifferently since it was true that he had come from the country and still spoke with an a slight accent from time to time with out meaning to like when he miss pronounced the Hanekage title.
"Hah-neh-kah-geh" He said slowly trying the correct pronunciation out. "Hanekage" He spoke again saying the title at normal speed and properly this time.
"How was that?" He asked with a grin at his 'accomplishment'. Now he just had to hope he wouldn't unconsciously say it the wrong way again, though inwardly he knew he was bound to slip up now and again.

"Thanks Taka!" Kashin smiled and scratched the back of his head. "I know, so much has happened though. Almost to much if you ask me." A laughed burst out of Kashin. It had been a while since he was able to be so happy. "If only Suzumi and the kids were here to see this!"

"Any time!" Taka walked along with Kashin, following him where he went. "I'm certain Suzu-chan, Himeno, and Saito would have been so proud." Taka remembered back to when those three were alive. He had seen Himeno since she was a new born and had been there when Saito was born. He even thought of his name. "They're all watching you from Heaven. I'm certain that they are seeing this and smiling down on you."

Kazuma instantly appeared next to Kashin out of a cloud of smoke, with 3 beers in between his fingers and puffing his cigar wildly.
