I hate my current job working as a cashier at a grocery store. Customers can be so mean crying

Eek, I can only imagine how crappy that is! I've come across some cashiers who aren't a ray of sunshine either, though. xD Especially at Walmart. xp

I really don't blame them though. I know what its like working as a cashier so when ever I go into a grocery store, I'm extra nice to the cashiers. Even if they are in a bad mood.

I am as well, which is why I don't understand why they're complete assholes to every customer after the one causing them problems. xp

Some cashiers take it to heart when a customer is rude to them. For some people it just completely ruins their day.

I can understand that, but their JOB is customer service. As in, their job is to not be an a*****e. xD I have rude customers call in all day and just because one person is rude I'm not rude to every caller after that.

Dealing with people is never easy and working in customer service isn't for everyone. If a cashier is having a bad day, I'm not going to hold it against them. I don't think that it is necessary to call in and report them because they were "rude" I realize that everyone has a bad day.

Yeah, but I live in a small town and so it's always the same people (you either know everyone by name or at least face here) who are being assholes.
I would say that if customer service isn't for someone then those people shouldn't work in customer service, but with how things have been with jobs lately they're lucky to Have a job.

I guess you could say, beggars can't be choosers. There isn't much of a variety of jobs these days. Hopefully things will improve.

Yeah, it's horrible. My mom was doing accounting at one of the mines that shut down so she got laid off. She can't find another job other than part time, low paying jobs even though she has a degree and an a** load of experiance.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My father works at a steal mill as a millright(not sure how its spelled) Hes the guy that operates, and fixes all the heavy machinery. A lot of his hours were cut but thank god he wasn't fired. Fortunately, the mill needs him in order to stay open.
