I'm glad everyone loved it. Myself, and all my friends, also absolutley LOVED IT! It was a LOT different than the play, mainly because the play has only a few spoken lines. Most of it is singing, including all the voicemails and such. There were a lot of great songs cut, but I think that the cuts were necessary, except for two.
SPOILERS FOR ANYONE NOT YET SEEN IT
Right before the funeral, Mark has a song called "Halloween". It's one of the greatest songs because it lets you get to know Mark a lot more personally. Also, the fight at the cemetary goes on a LOT longer with a big fight between Mark and Roger which makes their reunion more personal. These songs will be included on the DVD, but I wish they had been in the film.
SPOILERS DONE
The film is amazing, and I can't wait to see it again. Oh, and don't go see it with your parents, it can be... awkward.

I'm gonna go see it again, along with gettign the movie soundtrack. Urk! I can't wait!
I wish they hadn't cut out Halloween...Mark is so cool...
I loved the songs Today 4 U and La Vie Boheme!
God I feel like a geek right now...well, I'm gonna go see it again...

I just came back (yesterday night actually) from NYC, where I saw RENT. It was absolutely brilliant, and I'm going on a trip to see the movie next week with my Drama class. It was such a great musical, and the theater they use is perfect (think aesthetic grunge).
