kingcorrupted Do not fear what is right- If it feels wrong to you fight it. Be strong- Not just physically, mentally and spiritually, you never know when you will be the resting spot for some one else's tired wings. Be sunshine- Because if you carry your own sunshine, you can grow the flowers the rain had begun but then left. Love yourself- Quite simple Loyalty to self and those you care for- Never forsake them even if they forsake you, it will come back to you in the end. I will add more when I can understand how to word the. The others are the ones deeply rooted in me that I am just compelled to do. "Wow" Looks at you in aww.

rules I try to live by:
1) Honesty is almost always the best policy. However, sometimes dishonesty or the shadowing of truth is necissary to protect something/someone, whatev.
2) Trust your instincts.
3) Accept and move on.
4) There is almost always a way to fix it.
5) What doesn't kill you makes you stronger (kinda ties in with 4)
6) Live a little
7) Do not let fear stop you.
cool Do what feels good
9) Live without regret
10) Adapt or die.

Obviously it's not literal. I don't follow a strict code, though. Just general ideas. I first found it in my closest friend's house. My soul friend. It fit so well.

isn't it litteral though? metaphorical yes, but maybe, just possibly, litteral as well. i'd certainly find it to be true throughout, in litteral terms. i like it so much, and wish that it were held true by the world... i never thought to question the hypocrasy of teaching these things to children and then disregarding them as adults... until i read that. i do say, i shall have to look up more writings from this fellow!

Oh, for sure.
I just remember showing it to someone and he kinda went off on how important things we learn after kindergarten are. It was silly.
But yes. I think it's literal in a lot of ways.

1) Be strong in the Lord
2) Do not gossip, it only hurts others
3) Hold true to your word
4) Never make promises you're sure you'll break
5) Trust in God, He will lead you through the tough times
6) Do not lash out in anger
7) Give all the glory to God, do not pride yourself in the talent He has given you
I don't always follow it exactly, but those are the basics I scold myself for when I don't do it right.

Not sure how to word some of them, because I've never written it down before.
My Honor/Morality Code:
1. Don't lie; lies almost always come back and bite you in the a**.
2. Keep your word. Sometimes, a man's word is all he has, and if he can't keep that, he's nothing.
3. Camaraderie. Once a friend, always a friend. Comrades look out for one another. Betrayal is unacceptable.
4. Forgive and Forget. Don't hold grudges; they produce hate, and the world certainly doesn't need anymore of that.
5. Do what feels right. Don't let pressure force you into the wrong.
6. Be Polite.
7. Be Efficient.
8. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. (i.e., Always be prepared)
9. If it doesn't kill you, use it to become stronger.
10. Always respect those that help you, whether it was merely holding a door open or dying to protect your freedom.
11. Enjoy your life. Don't waste it.

One is the Knight's Code of Chivalry, another is Bushido, and there's the various American Military Core Values. heh... i never was fond of the feudal-age codes... sweatdrop they were pretty ******** up in my honest opinion. knights generally treaed women like trophies, the whole concept of courtly love disgusts me, and there was an incredibly hypocritical and sexist double standard. plus, they and the samurai shared a common heiarchical problem, and hat was the ranking right to kill someone for offending them in any way, without even so much as an explanation. confused that's problematic, ontop of everything else that goes with the system it was so tightly tied into. it's why the Magna Carta was written. also, i never had a high opinion of the american military, or it's usage. i'm of the mind of late Senator Robert Byrd (may hey R.I.P.), in that america is meant to be a Defence-Ony nation when it come sto war. we should not start wars, we should not invade, we should not get involved with other nations' foreign relations. we do us. that's how it should be. stare but yeh, i'm ranting now. xp
