Kirai smiled again, easily guessing who he was thinking about. "It might be odd... but I still do not feel right being a nosferatu. I've gotten use to it, however, I am still in search of trying to become my old self." She glanced down at her hands, with silver rings on each finger that glistened in the light. "Maybe... things would be easier that way."

"Going through a change like that, sometimes you can't always go back to exactly what you were before. Sometimes that might be a good thing." Edward had gone though several changes in the last two hundred years. "I know that I have changed some what. And I am glad for it."

She chuckled slightly, and with a soft smile looked back up at him. "I'm still not sure how I'll do exposed to blood."

She twitched and put her hand up to her mouth, quickly moving her eyes down to the floor and losing her perfect posture for a moment. Feeling almost faint at the thought of it, let alone her friend's blood, she slowly shook her head no. "...no thanks. And... blood tablets have been a good option for me so far, no animal blood, no human blood... certainly not your blood." Also, what bothered her so much in addition was that she could smell it. Being a strigoii seemed so much more civilized... it digusts her what her body has transformed into, and what it demands out of her.

"As you wish. I did not mean to make you feel ill." Edward knew only in theory what a transformation like what she was going through was like. Seeing how she responded he asked. "Would you like me to get you something to drink or eat? If you're not feeling well, something hot would be good for you."

Taking a deep breath, she restored her posture and smiled again, just happy he was there. "No need, Edward. I'm just fine, and thank you so much for offering."

"I... still can't tell you how much that means to me, Edward." Kirai said, and looking twords the door for a moment said, "Although, I've never been able to get those cursed blood stains out." You could tell she ment it to lighten the mood, but she couldn't manage to say it in a light voice.

"You don't have to tell me, I know." Edward said reassuringly. "After all, I couldn't not help. Its not in my nature to abandon those who need me." Edward being honest to himself resigned to the fact that he had almost always been attracted to Kairi since the day they first met in his and lily's house. But the circumstances given at the time, and the fact that they were on the opposite side of a war, she was driven from his mind except in the few moments where they were locked in battle.

"When I think back to it..." Kirai rested her elbow against the arm of the couch, and her head against the palm of her hand. "I never imagined we would die such gruesom deaths, not after the war... and, I never imaged what it would feel like to die, or to die like that, or to see..." She swallowed, breathed out, and left the sentence by itself.

"As long as I am around, you won't have to worry about it ever happening again. I'll make sure of that." Edward had that twinkle in his eye that showed his resolve. Usually when people seen it they knew better than to try and change his mind, because it was impossible.
"Kairi, if war is to come, people are going to need a place to hide again. If its alright with you, I plan on bringing people into Haven. Some of them might have to come here." He thought that changing the subject would be best, seeing where they were heading, and wanting to aleave her pain.
