He took the single grenade and got into a pitcher position. All those years as a pitcher for Vault 236 made him a deadly aim, and luckily for him, he knew how to aim a grenade JUUUUST right. He cocked his arm back and without engaging the push mechanism just yet, he threw a Dead Throw, the kind that got the player to walk, and hit the dummy square in the head with it. About halfway through the pitch, he activated it. And when it reached the dummies head, kaboom. Stuffing and feathers and shrapnel flew like an ol' fashioned pinata. "I love grenades sir! They make the bang where a rifle can't!"

"Let's move on."

Rahm stated before he motioned the soldier towards the door into the next room.

"Now for the next test."

He led them into an even larger room than the first. This one was dotted with obstacles. Small hills, waist-high walls, oil drums... it looked like a miniature reenactment of the wasteland surrounding the Brotherhood compound.

"On the other side of this world is the exit. If you can reach it undetected, we'll know whether your sneaking skills are top notch. If you can't... well, you can't.

You have already passed most of the parts that matter, so this is more of a test to see if you can sneak. This is to notify us of another ability at our disposal. If you want to give up, or don't care to go through this last part, you can say so now, or later on. I myself never cared to much about stealth.

You can't see him from where we are, but there is another initiate on the other side of the room, his job is to find you when this starts.

Any questions?"

Quote:
Objective 3: Stealth.

You are ushered into a large square room with many small barricades to hide behind (ranging from boulders to stacks of barrels and crates). You start on one side of the room and the instructor starts at the exit. The objective is for you to make it to the exit without the instructor catching you. The instructor has to hunt you down and can't wait at the exit. This objective will take the form of an rp with many posts (minimum three sentences each for both participants). The objective is completed whether or not you can make it to the exit. The objective is not failed if the instructor catches you... not everyone is born a ghost.

I saluted and took off my jacket and let it hit the ground with a metallic clang of various noises. I got on the ground and signaled him to start. I got in an army crawl.

The field was very sparse along the sides of the warehouse with only a few random trash cans more than 50 meters apart. In the center was a maze of red clay and sheet metal that barely stood three feet high in most places.

The instructor looked at the jacket on the ground and shook his head at the display before walking back away from the entrance to the room.

Across the way a man in his mid thirties walked out into the field, his sandy red hair parted down the center of his head. A shaggy month old beard littered the mans face as he scratched at it. He wore a green flight suit, black combat boots, black mechanics gloves and a green tactical vest. The man of five foot eleven reached into the left breast pocket and pulled out a small metallic object before strolling leisurely upright towards the center of the arena.

I paused. And took my boot off. I placed it at the very end of the cover, aimed to make it look like I was there. Then from one of my pants pockets, I threw a stone overhead at a barrel for it to hit a with a ringing noise. I timed it though, right as he closed his eyes in a split second the stone was thrown and with the boot in position, I waited and "loud spoke" basically so the sound came from everywhere. "Dammit!" I echoed.

((Stop posting in the first person. Third person only.))

The man stopped at the sound of the ringing metal and loud yell. He shook his head with a grin at the fact that the recruit was trying the same trick that every other soldier used. He stopped at the center of the field and looped his left thumb into the bottom pocket of the tactical vest. He caught sight of what he thought might be the partially exposed boot of the initiate a couple hundred meters down the field. However he was still too far to make such a judgement call, he decided to scratch his bread with his right hand and continue watching for any actual movement.
