animega90 Like I said, I might change it up as I go, i usually get a bunch at the beginning just to hold me out. Ledyba was a close second to spinarak aswell
Both just seem too weak for me at the beginning. Spinarak wasn't very good in Crystal for me (I had to drop him when I learned about his terrible stats and moveset), but he has received improvements in the new generation.
Idk. Both still don't attract me. There just seem to be better bugs out there.

I can see why. I usually don't put bug types on my team, but looking at both of their movesets i feel more comfortable with spinarak. I didn't choose heracross because of its 4x weakness to flying

Man, trying to pick a team is always so hard for me. I suppose some ideal Pokemon on my team would be Venusaur or Meganium, Steelix, Espeon, Ampharos, Pidgeot, and a Scizor maybe. Gah, I don't know... at least some of those will make it on the team.

@ Animega: Heracross can take a hit though and dish one back. He won't be my main after the game (against you guys), but he comes in handy for type coverage.
Plus, he can cover his weaknesses. Rock attacks for birds, earthquake for fire, and Megahorn for those pesky Psychics (of which I've killed Heracross with many times though lol).
I like a good powerhouse when I see one.

I have made up my mind, I will use the same pokemon in Soul Silver as my team in Mystery Dungeon.

You sure you'll be able to get any of those at any time in the game? They're all Hoenn Pokemon...and two of them we're not even sure will be in the game.
If you're planning to do it through trading, I'd be careful there. The remakes tend to place plentiful restrictions on trading outside of a region in the beginning.

I thought you meant like the pal park, where I'd have to wait until I filled up my whole pokedex.... I'd get really mad if it was like that.... >__>
