handgun/s essential
1. light weight
2. easy to get ammo at almost any store
3. very little recoil
4. easy to carry for example in your pocket
5. effective at all distances

drawbacks
1. its no that powerful
2. only 16 or less shots per clip

shotguns are ehhhhh decent
goods
1. very powerful
2. works well for crowd control
3. can find at some stores

drawbacks
1. takes up space
2. not effective at long range (depends on type)
3 weight

the knife essential
goods
1. effective on every living thing
2. a zombies skull is soft so stabbing it threw there will only dull by a lil bit
3. you can throw them
4. easy to carry
5. lightweight
6. easy draw if you have a holster

drawbacks
1. it can kill but it might take a while
2. not long range

RIFLES great to have
1. bam headshot one hit kill
2. very powerfull

drawbacks
1. weight
2. dosnt fire fast
3. space

MACHINE GUNS a definite
1. rapid fire
2. can have a light and laser attatchment
3. just a great gun
4. lightweight (depends on what kind)

GUN ACCESSORIES
HANDGUNS
1. LIGHT so you can have one free hand
2. LASER easy aim
the best thing is to have the double one that has both

SHOTGUNS

Drawbacks:
1. Weaker than a pistol, if lightweight. If it is a heavy one then it is hard to handle as well as taking up space.
2. Uses a LOT of ammo. You will miss a lot using rapid-fire, wasting ammo.

But good post! Definitely smart.

As for your choices:
Knife is good, but what if you get up close to stab, and the zombie bites?
Machine gun, good.
Barretta, good. I like that one.
Motorcycle, good, for the most part. Drawbacks about it: Gas, high noise, attracts a lot of zombies, as well as the fact that it isn't made for rough terrains, of course, that depends on where you live as well.

Transportation: Feet and bicycle, truck is for use of getting to base and setting up.

One thing you forgot Xx_Moon of Shadows_xX, A fully-auto Glock, VERY easy to get a hold of, and you can get a 200-250/box clip for it. It's ammo is very light. But I don't want one. I have a Desert Eagle and I'm happy with that.

Melee: Machete
Primary: Striker Shotgun
Secondary: Dual Desert Eagles (And I made a hollow point...illegle I know but I shot it in to a dead deer...Don't judge me!)

Firearms: small handgun, pump shot gun (just a personal favorite of mine), and a distance rifle of some sort of small crossbow.
Transportation: armored mobile home

and btw when its a voodoo zombie its actually spelled zombi. I read about them... (book title is "the serpent and the rainbow" for anyone interested...)

Just a bit of info from my part:

The Cosmic zombies? More likely to be nuclear, then viral.
Meteors bring with them radiation, from being exposed to the sun with no atmosphere to dampen it. When they hit the dirt, they leave a lasting impression of that radiation, even if they get washed away.

As for my weapons, I would bring a recurve bow, and a machete.

Or a chainsaw. No.... A weedwhacker with a large saw blade instead of the plastic....
