While I like the link to people's aquariums, I think the link to their profile is equally important. Invites are usually sent by PM, and having a link to a person's profile makes it easier for people making booty grab threads to invite them. If I were making a booty grab thread that's what I'd want to see - either a link to the profile or a direct PM link.

And I don't think the list should be limited to active members of this guild. I don't even think it should be limited to guild members. It should included anyone who has an aquarium and wants to get invited to booty grab threads. As a gaia wide resource it will draw attention to this guild, and make people want to participate & join. biggrin
Thanks again for the comment and feedback, Keiko.

I think the biggest challenge of creating this list is not only listing the tanks... but also updating the information. Once I get this list running, I might make a sticky thread where people in the guild can keep me informed of inaccurate information in the list so I (or the other crew members) can correct the information. 3nodding

If you find any information that has changed while I'm adding more users to the list, let me know...

Will do.

Yeah - keeping the list up-to-date is going to be difficult. Good news is, while the information will become incorrect, the links should continue to work, so people using the list will always be able to check if the fish they're looking for are still in that aquarium. biggrin

I agree with Viess though I think I'd take it the step further and not really include the fish count at all... except MAYBE on the last section. But even your "Mostly Mermaid" section it doesn't really seem needed given that there is a link to the tank.

I liked the original format of just link to profile, link to tank and maybe a note or two.

It might also have been easier if instead of breaking up all the posts like that... you make only one post per page (unfortunately you have to do that by posting a bunch and then deleting all but one per page) and just having the sections then by page.

Actually, considering I placed all the listings in alphabetical order, it would have been much harder to post one listing on one post. A lot more cut and pasting required. ^_^;; I just felt having 10 listings in a post won't look too long nor stretch the page further down... Still experimenting...

Well that is just it. If it is one post per page then you cut out the titles on every post saying "Blah blah (cont)" and of course the buttons on the top and all the bubble effect etc. thus making the page itself shorter.

And you wouldn't have to cut and paste.
Although it would make the posts short, that would be a bad idea considering there are 1000+ tanks in the Aquariums Forum alone. And considering I'm alphabetizing the list, it would be a great pain if I had to move 700 posts just fit 1 before those 700. xp

I see your point, though it seems like more of a pain to me to have 10 tanks per post and have to copy paste to shift them. Maybe have A-D, E-H, and not worry about how long the list per post is?

Considering I'm the only one shifting and moving the listings, I'm not having problems with that. So far, I've been careful with moving the list. It's a matter of whether or not the users in this guild can find tanks that they want to invite. That's why I enlarged the numbers for each listing and limited to 10 tanks per post.

But once I decide to finalize the list, I will include a better Table of Contents which will tell who's on each post.
