Demon Kagerou Can I run without a platform? I do menial work without need for credit... or awareness that I do it, apparently. And I'm probably the only one in here with a Master degree.... possibly even a Bachelor degree. Where do I sign to work for your campaign!?

Platform
The NCS Guild exists to provide a forum for discussion on Socialism and related topics. We extend open arms to all who are willing to learn about said ideologies and positions. The NCS can also serve as a base from which socialists can work together to post intelligent responses to socialism-related issues in the ED-P. In the old days, we had a thread with links to such topics so that we could all work together (in true Hivemind form) to educate others in the ED-P.
Recently, the NCS has entered a period of renewed activity, however, it is imperative that we do not stifle that activity by dividing ourselves into multiple guilds. For that reason, I oppose the resurrection of the NCS Community. Instead, we ought to focus our efforts on strengthening the NCS as a whole.
It would also be important for me to mention my position on non-socialist members within the guild. This guild should be an open forum for anyone willing to learn. We should not be scared of people who have different views, but instead use opposition to strengthen our own views if it is necessary. I oppose purging members except in extreme cases, in which case the guild would have to vote before such actions could be taken. I do, however, think that it would be reasonable to extend the same rule which currently exists within the NCSGuild chat group--No ethnic, racial, national, religious, sexual or sexuality based slurs in the guild. Such prejudices will not be tolerated. Ample warnings would be extended, however, before anyone were to be banned for said actions.
That's about it, for now.

Herobane My vote is guaranteed to the candidate who will do the most against the Fascist enemy, and who will be the most revolutionary, invloving themselves in the most pro-revolution activitites both online and in RL. As the biggest Jew here, I can promise that I will be the most meanest, Jewest, anti-fascist around. And if that other guy says he can purge them, well he's just lying. Vote Domnu! Or... Just gimme your gold. :3 For a more Jewish enriched NCS!

Okayyy... I'm going to run. ^^ I'm much newer than a lot of regulars in this guild (and thus a lot of people running) because I have only been here since April. I came to learn more, and learn more I have with the interesting discussion and range of viewpoints within this guild.
So...I thought I might as well run, in the hope of becoming mod.
As some people have said, the NCS is not a political party, it is a guild on an anime site (that I first joined for the cute lil avatars), so cohesive viewpoints are not necessary. What is necessary is fruitful discussion and the opportunity for members to both learn and convince each other. This is why I am leaning towards the proposals that have been going around to either create a broader left community or open NCS a little more. If someone has a workable proposition and much of the membership agrees, I will support it.
So, vote for me because:
1. I am quite active, as people who go into the chat should know. My activity will not drop much tomorrow when I go back to uni because I will only have it two days a week. ^^
2. I'm pretty cool. And nice. And nice to noobs... and if this guild is to become more active, there will be more noobs.
That's it! Given there's been a flurry of activity today, hopefully people will be active and look at this.

Comrade Rob's Election Platform
 [Edited to be more serious] In accordance to the current surge of guild membership, I find that it is important to both secure and advance it. What the other candidates are not taking into consideration is the future of the NCS. If we do not start taking strides to educate the newer members of the guild we not only run the risk of losing ideological heirs but also we miss out on an opportunity to educate people in socialist thought. We can achieve the NCS' survival through the NCS community (by a new name which i suggest something along the lines of "The Left community of Gaia or something) and with that there is a need to get members involved which can be done through a recruitment program. In accordance to membership of this new "community" we allow the membership of all those on the political left. In this way, we can advance Marxism with others on the left without running the risk of losing guild control. With the NCS community there follows the concern of the main NCS losing its purpose. So what i purpose is the NCS' remain to be a strict Communist and Socialist guild. This guild will maintain its original purpose of generating Marxist and socialist related thought and topics-the core membership being those who are already strong socialists and Marxists. Those who appear to us to be outstanding Socialists and or Marxists can be considered by the NCS CorCom for membership. We must also become more active within the ED and ED-P, for both promotional purposes and guild activity. Further, We need also to Change the NCS mission statement found on the homepage and preferably a New constitution as well for both the NCS and the NCS community. Something along the lines of what Comrade Gracchvs has proposed in the "New Propositions" thread. Other issues I wish to tackle include : The purging of Fascists from the guild ranks, New banners for the NCS and NCS community, a stronger desire for Marxist-led education, and above all more Interior Alligator and HitlerxStalin yaoi LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION OF WORKERS SOLDIERS AND PEASANTS!
