Windstar smiled. " My room's got an extra bed I definitely don't need - If he wants extra for you using it, I can pay him when the time comes."

"But...but...you're to generous, I really shouldn't accept...." Fox yawned and blinked her tired eyes. "But my body has a mind of its own." She chuckled. "Still, I don't know you..." Fox sighed. "I'm just so tired, I guess I'll have to risk it and take you up on your offer."

WIndstar laughed. "Always willing to do another magical creature a favor. Come on, I'll show you where the room is." She turned and went back into the inn.

Fox smiles and follows the stranger inside.

Windstar began looking for an area with some clean snow. She found it soon enough, an area next to the tavern, an alley really, where no-one had passed.
"See what you do is you fill a bowl with clean snow - " She demonstrated, " - and then you take some thinned maple syrup - " She lifted the flask, " - and you pour it over the snow. The flavor seeps into the snow, which in turn freezes the leftover syrup. It's really good. Try it!" She handed Fox the bowl and a spoon, and scooped up some snow for the other bowl, beginning to make herself some.

((LOL, the equivelant of a snocone here, as you may have guessed))

Fox watched with wide eyes as Windstar poured the syrup on the snow. It looked like fun and so she took a turn at making it. "Are you supposed to eat it?" Fox asked; she couldn't remember if she had been given the answer already.

Windstar laughed. "Of course! What else would you do with it?" Grinning, she began to eat hers.

"Oh" Fox exclaimed. She cautiously licked hers and a grin spread across her face. "This is good! I like it!"

Windstar laughed. "I knew you would." She nodded to the flask. "You can keep that one so you can make more later, I have several more."

"Really?" Fox looked at Windstar with wide eyes. "I can keep the flask?" She smiled, "You're so nice! Thanks!" Fox then happily continued to consume her snow cone.
((is this what we called it? I can't remember))

((Actually, I think it was maple cone, but it doesn't really matter))

Windstar laughed. "You're welcome." She placed one hand on the brick wall of the building next to her, leaning on it, then looked at the sky for a long moment. I wonder how long it will take for the weather to clear up so I can continue my search... Once again, she considered finding and buying a house in town, to use as a base for the search in this end of the continent. And for use afterwards - Over the last couple decades, Windstar had discovered she quite liked travelling and discovering new places. It would be nice, years from now, to be have a home in every corner of Lienae - not just Gantarin - and to explore the deep mysteries she now had to pass by in her search. Troubled, she wondered if by passing by those ancient secrets, she had missed valuable clues to the whereabouts of the elves...

Shaking her head, she looked back to the girl, who seemed happily immersed in her bowl of flavored snow. "So, where are you from? Don't answer if you don't want to, all of us have secrets these days."

((Well...that was longer than I expected...))

"I don't mind too much. You told me some of your past, so I'll tell you some of mine.

"I grew up on the Corin plains. My father owned a house there. He was..." Fox trailed off in thought before continuing. "Strange. We lived, just the two of us, in that great house in the middle of no where. To be frank, it was very boring. So I left."

Windstar laughed. "Makes sense. I probably would've left too in those conditions." She considered their two situations and smiled - they weren't so different, except she had a bit more than boredom as an excuse to be searching the continent.
