Pirate. Ninjas relied on their enemy thinking they were otherworldly, like a ghost with extraordinary powers and also relied on being quiet and sneaking up on people. They were basically a cowardice b***h. XD Pirates effing ruled the world!
Relying on ones enemy thinking they were otherwordly? You mean like Captain Blackbeard putting burning ropes under his hat and tangled in his beard, so the smoke pouring off him would make him look supernatural?
Lots of pirates did things to make their opponents think they were supernatural, possessed or otherwise demonic. Also...Ninjas had to sneak around because they were usually very outnumbered...whereas pirates would attack other ships, and those other ships usually had equal, or less amounts of crew, andseeing where alot of the ships they went after were merchant vessels, and the merchants usually weren't quite as well armed, the odds were usually pretty stacked in the pirates favor
