Luke looked as if he'd appeared infront of her and gently took his hat back "I dont have to sniff." He told her. He walked past her, forgoing putting his hat back on "Remember my offer." He said to her, still walking.

Air stared at him in shock and frowned, shaking her head as she glared at him. Was he serious? He was wanting her to risk her safety, just to come and talk to him? She shook her head and started walking home, her hood down as her ears perked up, if he wanted to play that game, he would. Within a few minutes, screams were heard, along with the sound of someone struggling. Air glared at the group of men that surrounded her, all having victorious grins on their faces as they watched her. She snapped at their hands each time they tried to reach down and get a good look at her.
"We finally caught one!" One of the men yelled, trying to get a good grip on Air, who was struggling viciously, lashing out and biting, as much as she could. She'd kicked and everything, her hands tied behind her back as she sat in the middle of the group stupidly.

Luke heard her screams and sighed, seconds later he was infront of her holding on of the men by his throat. The man thrashed and kicked as he struggled to breathe, Luke threw him to the ground and walked up to the other men. He body frame shook and he looked like his true form to the men, Luke glared at the other men. In a mere moment the other men were in a pile next to a tree, all unconcious, Luke then walked up behind the wolf girl and untied her. He didnt say a word, he didnt even know why he'd helped her guess I'm just a nice guy he thought

Air glared as the men approached, just to have Luke cut them short by a little distance. "Thanks..." She muttered, embarassed, but she hoped he knew why she always hid, that was why. If she didn't, she'd get caught and brought in, then either tested or killed. And by being tested, she meant being tortured, changed, they mutated her kind then accused them of bad things. Finally she stood, her eyes slightly darker than they had been as she flipped her hood back up.

"Come with me." He told her and began walking towards his home again "If you want my help." Luke's voice was flat. He could only offer his help, to take it was the girl's choice "I'm Lucian by the way, but call me Luke." His voice started trailing off the farther he got away.

Air sighed, why would he want her to go with him? She just sighed, but followed him, staying a distance back. "Air." She muttered, still quite embarassed. She should have unleashed her true form, but then she would have killed them. All she could do was bite and kick at them.

"Nice to meet you." Luke told her then stopped infront of a home, he opened the door and walked in. The walls were covered by large bookshelves, each filled completely with thick books. There was a small couch and radio "Feel free to look around." Luke said walking through a door into another room. A calming aroma came from the room as Luke walked out of it holding a small box "Do you truely wish for my help?" He asked, placing his hat on the small table in the corner of the large room.

"What do you mean by that...?" Air asked, still embarassed and mad, she'd played his games, and she certainly hoped he knew why she kept herself hidden under a cloak. She sat down on the couch, frowning, deep in thought, then her eyes fell on him, observing him, wondering why he'd bothered to help her.

 He tossed her the box, it popped open in her lap, in it was an silver amulet "It holds the power to change you form, you'll look like an girl, not a wolf." He told her. "But it only lasts for about five hours, you'll have to charge it, it charges in the box." He said. In a swift movement Luke was at one of his large booksheleves putting his novel back in it's place. "And it doubles as a demonic weapon, doesnt look like much, but it's pretty strong"

"I don't go to town often, I had to go and run a few errands. That's the only reason I was out. I move around so often, nowhere is safe anymore. I overheard that they're going to cut down the forest. . ." Air replied, frowning lightly as she stared at the amulet in shock and confusion. Why was he helping her?

"I know." Luke said almost silently as he pulled a thick book from the shelf he was standing near and flipped through it. The book was filled with an unknown language, that Luke had learned to read "But I dont think it'll happen." He told her. He stopped on a certain page and started reading. "And I hope you understand that the world is meant for all life." He told her in a flat tone "That was why those amulets were made."

"No no no! I've got a feeling they will. That, or burning it down, so I wouldn't know, I just know those who fled to the forest are in trouble, and those who are fleeing to the forest, they have a lot to deal with." Air replied, frowning at him. She wasn't sure why he helped her, but she was too nervous to ask about it. "Why are you helping me?" She asked, quietly.

"It's my job. A family thing, not many understand." He told her, his eyes not moving from the book. "To give help to those who need it. Or those who hide from the world." He muttered.

At this, Air growled, he really thought that she couldn't handle herself? Just because she wasn't as open as he was? She couldn't be, she had to hide herself, if she wanted to live. "Oh, that's real nice." She muttered, angrily.

"I only say what I was told." He told her then shut his book "I dont like it either." Luke put his book back in his place. He went back into the nice smelling room and didnt come out.
