simply put: A-R-T-!
2. How do you keep up to date in the world of fashion?
I buy Vouge, Elle, and other fashion magazines and watch fashion shows in NY,London, Paris...
I also like to try and draw my own designes which i dont claim as unique in any way really.
3. Do you hope to have a career in fashion? if so, what?
Maybe but it isnt my dream i hope to either become a lawyer, or a European Histroy proffesor (spelling?)
4. And finally describe your style.
I have a 'fat' body and i wear some semi-tight clothes but always with a zip up hoodie and i like to wear bright colors and a fadora and in the winter i trymy best to co-ordinate with my varsity jacket or witha jacket that i will end up wearing all day if need be.
I like to be in history and i LOVE to try and draw designs for shirts (A Cappella choir tour 2008-2009!) and try to keep up too date in the fashion world.

Doing hair. Really anything to do with hair I just love it. I love fashion and putting together outfits and what not. I also have a bit of a nerdy side and I tend to enjoy a Table top RPG or two.
1. What is fashion to you?
Fashion is my life. Whether it be what hair style someone is currently sporting or a new skirt I just bought. It's all around me and I love it. I think without it life would be dull and boring. We'd all just be clones of each other. Not individuals. Style and fashion is what makes us who we are. From the highlights and lowlights in our hair to the new Gucci heels we're sporting. it's what makes us who we are.
2. How do you keep up to date in the world of fashion?
Well I watch alot of Style. E-news. I read Vogue and a few various hair style magazines. I love What Not to Wear. But mostly random articles on-line that I stumble upon. I'm a working single mom. So I do what I can.
3. Do you hope to have a career in fashion? if so, what?
I had one. I was a hair stylist. But it's too.. Well you guys know of a job for a single mom. So now I'm going to become a paralegal. I'm going to be legally blonde <3
4. And finally describe your style.
I like to combine alot of vintage inspired stuff. Like I love the 50's and 70's. I love the pin-up looking cloths from the 50's. But I love the air-y bohemian 70's looks. I also like some of the newer stuff. But honestly there isn't much in the way of "new" everything is being brought back. I think for my basic every day attire I would say I dress very bohemian-prep. But for going out I dress like a 50's pin up girl. If something new comes out that tickles my fancy I'll let you guys know.

1. What is fashion to you?
Fashion applied to me in my view is how I present myself and my personality to others. People's first impressions are often lasting, so it's best to present an accurate picture. Also, personal comfort and pleasure are important to me.
2. How do you keep up to date in the world of fashion?
Quite simply, I don't. However, sometimes I'll look through pictures, and if a style strikes my fancy, I'll save it for future reference.
3. Do you hope to have a career in fashion? if so, what?
I don't hope to have a career in fashion, but I do enjoy designing clothes, and I hope to be able to sell some of the clothes patterns that I come up with.
4. And finally describe your style.
I like styles inspired by other cultures, and I'm a little bit of a hippie. I like pleats and ties (not the sort worn with a suit that is) and interesting seams, and I prefer clothes with a dash of the dramatic. But most days I don't dress up; I'll only wear slacks (I rarely ever wear jeans) and a (usually solid color) blouse with flipflops (what can I say, I'm a Californian). I've been wanting to emphasize my fashion leanings though.

To me, it's all about the art and the expression. Fashion is amazing too...one of the best things ever, imo.

I notice what everyone else is wearing, or I check online.

I actually hope for a career in music... Lol. But I've always thought that being a model or designer would be really fun.

I don't stick to one style... I always switch around, or combine styles. I like mostly bright colors, and black.

#1. What is fashion to you?
To me fashion should be fun and functional, it should be stylish and creative.
#2. How do you keep up to date in the world of fashion?
I look at what people are wearing, I check online and look in the magazine. Also I find that watching musicians can help inspire and invigorate my eye on fashion (Though I'm not always in a hurry to buy it just because they did).
#3. Do you hope to have a career in fashion? if so what?
Yes. I'm currently in school as a cosmetologist, but I hope to get a degree in fashion design once I'm done with this. I'd love to be able to create killer hair and clothes.
#4. And finally describe your style.
I guess you might call it boho...or not. I like to mix and match a lot, so it's kind of eccentric and more or less of a gothic kind of flair, mixed with a lot of Asian inspired prints and styles. I also like old Egyptian styles, ancient Greek inspired clothes, and Victorian based clothing (I love long skirts, vests, corsets boots and gloves).

An expression of someones personality. I dont believe in trends and such so fasion is a way to express yourself.

Currently i do modeling every now and again, but I cant see it being a career as I much prefer studying Biomedical Sciences xD

Mix and match depending on how i feel. Usually involving either:
a) lots of bright colours, or
b) dark colours with bright colours to highlight aspects.
Usually try and find something to focus an outfit around, such as a hat/shoes/top/collar etc

My interest in fashion will always be there but I don't think I could cut it in the fashion world. I'm working towards being a freelance artist.

Hobbies: Sewing, Design, Crafting, etc... You get the point. There is pretty much nothing artistic that I don't do.
1. Fashion is just a way of dressing yourself, to make you feel great. smile
2. I don't buy magazines - they are such a waste of paper and time. Most of the time I just notice what the mannequins are wearing -not that it matters anyways - when I design I just go with my gut.
3. Somewhat. I went to school for fashion design and production. I graduated top of my class.... Then I realized how wasted I would be with an unstable career in fashion. I am currently studying for biomedical sciences. Fashion is a side project - I still design for people. In fact, I was asked to do a show at the end of the month - still thinking on that one.
4. My style is quite eccentric. I wear a lot of corsets. I like to play with steampunk and military styles. And heels.... I love those HIGH heels... heart

My life in a post
I had the option in my life already to peruse a career in fashion. I chose to turn it down and keep fashion a hobby and pursue my other goal. I would have taken a costume/movie/theatre approach with it though.
I am currently in school to learn business in order to open my art and tea house. I finish school in the spring and have saved nothing as all my current savings are towards my trip to Japan next summer.

Fashion, hmm, I don't know how to describe what fashion is to me, except that it is a form of art.
2. How do you keep up to date in the world of fashion?
I watch some fashion shows like "What Not to Wear" "Ugly Betty" the next top model, and another fashion show but I forget what it was called. I like to buy hair magazines but I don't buy fashion magazines unless I find it interesting and it gives a lot of fashion tips.
3. Do you hope to have a career in fashion? if so, what?
No, but I would like to design or make clothing and jewelry for fun, I'm not brave enough to go into a fashion career. I instead want to study something related to science.
4. And finally describe your style.
I like to wear a lot of jean clothing and tank tops. I don't really wear high heels because I worry that I might fall over or something and embarrass myself. I really don't like tops with sleeves, and I don't like wearing big stuffy winter clothing, so I dress thin all year long. I mostly like wearing dark colors.

Dandan is 23 and loves flint blue with orange or gold! Hobbies are many and constantly shifting-- but during these colder months I enjoy paper doll fashions, rendering on Sims2, and good ol' drawing. I like keeping active and cooking and taking naps and drunk-dialing extended relatives!
What is fashion to you?
A breath of fresh air to an old situation. A way to make the working week a little more creative, and a way to make the weekends FIERCE.
How do you keep up-to-date in the world of fashion?
Magazines! Vogue and GC are the namebrands, but I'm certain there are lesser-known ones I've seen and loved. o3o I do not watch those fashion shows, though. Too much drama!

I guess dressing up characters in fables and video games is on par with dressing up real people, so, yes? Clothing and costume play such a big part in illustration and character design, so I hope that counts! =D

It changes with the seasons. @3@ I am the constant thrift store customer, always recycling old clothes back to the city and keeping the spending to a minimum. Right now I'm on a nineties fashion kick (it's the most comfortable), though just last week I was raving over 50's pinup and movie glam.

I'm 14 and a prep school freshman. I play lacrosse and field hockey, I like modeling and acting, and I love fashion. I'm obsessed with working out and maintaining a toned body.
I live in New York and my icons are Gabrielle Coco Chanel, Twiggy & Marlene Dietrich. But mostly myself.
I like the color grey. I'm obsessed with Alice in Wonderland.
I want to be a Dermasurgeon or a Neurosurgeon since both of my parents are doctors, and I'd keep fashion as a side hobby. But who knows where the wind will take me...certainly not you or I.
