Likewise! I've seen a few good RP topics here, but I just haven't been on Gaia recently. So, I'm not gonna waste much time posting here rather than looking at some of the topics here. :3

I've noticed. . . at first I thought it was because of the school year (last year) so I was pumped for this summer. . . and well, things haven't changed. :/ I'm talking on Gaia, in general, really. I think many active and loyal gaians have left with all the changes that have taken place. To where? Who knows~

Oh man sorry guys. Moved in to a new house and getting internet set up took ages.
RPing on gaia in general though seems to have been harder and harder to come by each year. When I joined there were loads of lit to semi-lit writers. I dunno where they have all gone but would love to know.

I agree with you, Fairwyn. The forums are all cluttered with similar, if not the same, genres, characters, plots...
It makes starting a decent RP even harder. >.<

I agree fully. I've been searching for the off-gaia site that all the RP'ers vanished to for almost two years now and found nada but a few places centered almost entirely around cybersex or being a neopets ripoff. And they seem to have an average lifespan of four or five months, so the idea of having one character and developing that one character over an extended period of time and more than one RP is completely moot.
Then again, the 'disposable character' trend seems to have cropped up Gaia pretty extensively too. I think the heyday of having extended plotlines that span multiple RP's is completely over and done with.
A pity, because that's the idea that birthed most of my favorite RP's...

It's not just hard to find a good RP. i haven't been getting replies from the ones i request to join. it gets kinda depressing

i used to be able to do that entire long drawn out story board in an RP but ever since BCT... i haven't be able to write as well as i use tt.. :

Ive been really discouraged by the response on my threads, I worry if mine might seem too cliche for any decent roleplayer to join but no one wants to critique my work, so all I can do is post the same story over and over again, as I progress as a roleplayer the thread seems to follow in step. Still the response is worse than its ever been.

I don't think the reason why you're getting little to no responses is due to your RP being "too cliche." This guild is just very quiet right now, and sadly full of inactives. I myself am having a difficult time with my own RP, resorting to manual recruitment which is always painful.

I would join an RP but I'm afraid of it dying like RPs usually do. There are times when I feel like the topic killer.
