Raco struggled against her for a few moments, refusing to let her go. He couldn't let her run away, not this time, not now. But when she collapsed into his arms sobbing he held her close. His head tucked into her neck, breathing in her sweet scent.
"Quiet now..." he mulled to her, giving her a slight squeeze, though it did him no justice. Being this close to her only drove him more insane, made his body ache in ways it had not in such a long time. "Do not worry..." he whispered to her.
It was like he needed her and in a way he believed maybe she needed him. Even if just for a night, they could pass away their troubles, wash away the pain and live as though no pain existed.

Valiant let herself be cradled and cared for, for the first time in her life. She stayed still, ignoring the vertigo that threatened to topple them both over. She allowed his hair to tickle her nose, before she actually wrapped her arms around him herself, knowing deep down the more that she fought whatever was propelling her forward it would simply fight back with more force. Allowing her mind to go completely blank she finally gave into the sensations instead of simply allowing. The Manx kissed him lightly on the neck, for that was all she could reach and hoped deep down that somehow they would not ruin the friendship that they had been building. A hand played with the long black hair that seemed to beg to be touched, and rested her cheek against his chest where his heart was beating as quickly as birds would. “Raco…” she sighed after finally finding her voice, but found after saying his name she had nothing else to say.

Raco purred in her embrace, her playing with his hair, the kiss to his neck. There was nothing left of his shields, nothing at all. All of this time to have them swept away now in almost an instant it seemed to him. He head against his chest made his entire body throb with want and need. The sound of his name ringing through his ears, echoing. The beat of the festivities behind them long lost and out of sight, and out of mind. He reached for her chin, lifting her head up to see eye to eye, he golds eyes to his mis-matched eyes of green and blue. He kissed her, something he had not done with a woman in a long time, not since before his fall, back before he had left his home, de-collared himself and lost himself to hatred and hurt. All of it was gone now, slowly melting away, never to burden him again, or maybe it was just for the night.

Valiant stared into the mismatched eyes, reading all the trust in that moment was flowing between them. She felt all of her pain and woe slip away, as though her pain had never really existed. Her hands itched to do just what his did moments after. Her longing for his embrace, to feel his strong arms around her again was immense, almost to the point she was whimpering.
A pulsing beat touched her feet through leather boots, and vaguely she remembered the others behind them. She fell into his arms, attempting to relearn how to breathe, attempting to recover from what that one kiss had done. She was finally able to mumble. “We need to go somewhere out of sight.” She brought a piece of his hair to her lips and kissed it lightly, pulling back from him just enough to see his face. What she saw there seemed to feel right, as though it was a replica of her own.
She felt at home in his arms, not wanting to ever part from them, but she had to. She reluctantly pulled back just out of grabbing distance and waited for the other to lead the way away from the other beings around them.

Raco laughed following after Valiant, tail flickering with anticipation, his walls and inhibitions long lost to the alcohol which controlled his thoughts and mind. Eventually the others would figure out his disappearance, some would questions, other would merely shrug it off. But not a one of them would ever expect what was going to happen that night.
He took Val's hand leading her off to his own area where he slept, away from the others in a large hollow hole in giant oak, more than enough for a small child to fit into comfortbly, no one but Youko knew of this spot where Raco hid himself away from the world. Here is where he would reveal it to Val. All the way to the tree his mind raced with thoughts, scattered remnants of the past, almost trying to call him to his senses but it was no use. Tonight was for him and Valiant, and only tomorrow would tell what it would bring.

Valiant fallowed him slightly hesitant; something had flicked into her mind and was gone the moment it had conjured itself. When she neared the tree she laughed inwardly, it was so obvious that no one would notice it. She turned to him pulling his torso towards her into a kiss. She smiled against his mouth, trying not to show the tension of what the forgotten memory had brought about.
For some reason her mind was stalling outside the makeshift home, not quite wanting to go in, but not quite wanting to stay out. Her preoccupations should have kept the other busy whilst she decided what to do next, but who would know with Raco. It seemed he was so much more starved then she could imagine.
Her mind raced but finally she allowed herself to climb into the concave and lay upon the various pillows, blankets and the like waiting to be followed by the man that had broken through her calm exterior. … raco.

Raco held Val's face cupped in his hands kissing her back, but he could feel the hesitation within her, but she was not alone in the feeling. He was also held back by something that pulled at the back of his mind. But he could not find what it was. He watched Val make her way into his hidden fortress.
He stood there, outside for a few moments, lost in his thoughts. What was he doing? flickered through his mind but was quickly pushed out with a million half-assed answered. he shook himself a little and climbed in to tree to join Val. There everything would be lost to the night, the rise of fall of a love strung through the mind and bodies of two who had been torn from the inside, but mended together finding totality in one another even if just for the evening.
The night would be filled with love, a bittersweet one at that.

Valiant played with the others hair as she lay in his arms watching him peacefully. His heart and hers were one, perhaps for a night, perhaps for longer. Lightly she kissed his forehead and whispered to him in the still dark night. “I wish it were always like this.” And then she allowed herself to drift to sleep ~~~ The next morning Valiant awoke at dawn at the time when she usually did, she brushed the fall of black hair from her face and paused, with a pounding headache. What was worse was that under the blankets with her was Raco, still laying peacefully for the time being. She felt her eyes widen and her hand clasped over her mouth before she let out a stifled scream. Her clothing was around somewhere, and what was left of her senses told her she needed to find them, but all she could do was bring a sheet up to cover herself with and crawled into a corner, with tears already leaking from her eyes. What… had… she… done? She had to leave, just like before, but now it would be worse… she rocked back and forth, trying to make since of the misty shapes that had formed barriers in her mind. Valiant feared that now she would always long for his embrace, and she more than likely would.

Raco's ears twitched at the muffled scream, he blinked his eye, head throbbing terribly. He looked over to spot Valiant's bare back facing him. The realization of last night came crashing down upon him like a case of bricks. This was almost too much. All he had planned to do was loosen Val us, but oh he's done that alright and so much more by the looks of it.
The night was a blur to him, but he knew what had happened, shifting slightly he found Val's shirt underneath him and pulled it out. In a groggy voice Raco spoke. "Found your shirt." he croaked. Poor Val, she seemed to frantic, and he had a feeling he knew why. She was going to try and take off again. Well he wasn't going to let her do that. If she wanted to leave, she'd be doing it stark naked and he had a feeling she wasn't going to do that.
Raco rubbed his temples with his finger tips, her shirt still in hand. "Damn I had too much of that Sake.." he moaned, cursing himself. It would be a while before he drank again, not just because of what had happened, he had forgotten how bad a hang-over really was.

Valiant wished more than anything he had stayed asleep, she wanted desperately just to find her things and go… never look back. As though not turning around would make him go away she refused to face him, to let him see the wild pain behind eyes. With one hand she held the sheet to her breasts and with the other she took her shirt from him. It took her a bit but she managed to get it on, and then knew she would have to find the skirt that matched.
Not without effort she managed to turn around and stay there, not knowing how close Raco really was for about five seconds before she completely broke down. Seeing him laying there entwined with the blanket brought back a flood of memories. Val had to lie down before she could pass out under the weight of them all, she rolled over burying her tear streaked face into Raco’s chest and sobbed.
She knew she could go nowhere, that she was trapped, that every day she would have to bear the fact that she had slept with someone that would never love her. For why in the world would any man in his right mind love someone as pathetic and soiled as she?

Raco held Val as she cried, and pet her hair, knowing why she was so upset. Since she had come to live in East she had retained the strange notion that she was disgusting and meaningless, dirty for the injustice that had been done to her. He had again and again tried to convince her otherwise but that proved harder than originally anticipated.
"Val, you need to stop 'ating yourself." he said giving her a squeeze. His nudity was really nothing surprising to himself, he always slept like this, but waking up with a woman in his bed was the odd part for him and Val was the last person he expected to wake up with. But he knew this had to be so hard for her. "I don't know w'at it will take for you to realize t'at you are beautiful Val. Someone took away the innocence t'at you once 'eld, but t'at does not make you dirty, soiled, or wort'less." he continued kissing the top of her head.
"Everyone 'ere loves you, t'ough you may not see it. You are one of us, family, and special. Not one person 'ere sees you like you see yourself, but quite t'e oppisite." he said rubbing her back now. The poor girl, he would never be able to fully understand the pain she felt, but all he could do was try his best to console her.

Valiant simply laid there, unable to speak, but that was not for lack of trying. She allowed her tears to dry on his tanned skin and watched his chest rise and fall with his breathing. If she thought to wake up with anyone, she would have never in her right mind believed herself if she had said Raco. Her head spun with her morals of right and wrong, but also of how much she wanted him last night… what had happened to her? Valiant brought her knees up to his side forcing herself into a semi ball, it was the best she could manage without too much movement.
Her calm calculating manner was failing her, almost as though she was being shunned by her own mind. If her mind would not accept her, why should she? All she remembered was a blur of actions, and then the feelings that accompanied them. It was far too much with her spinning vision and pulsing headache. All she could do was try to shut out her memories for the time being and ignore everything around her, val was good at that.

Raco sighed, an arm still wrapped around Val he reached over to a small bowl that was filled with fresh clean water. He didn't think alcohol was going to sound good to him for quite some time. With that he dug out a few crushed aspirins. He swallowed some with a large gulp of the cool water. It might be a while before they kicked in but t was worth it to get rid of this damn hang over.
He then offered the same to Val, if his head was this bad he could only imagine how crappy she must feel. He ran a hand through his hair, fingers snagging here and there on a knot or two, but most of the easily fell away from how well he groomed himself.
Turning his attention fully back to Val he sighed. "Val come on, what happened last night wasn't that bad..." he blushed, "I...I rather enjoyed it." he said mentally smacking himself, that was not what he meant to, but he didn't know the right words. Yes he'd enjoyed it, but he also believed the both of them had more than likely needed that. But pain still shook Raco's heart, knowing what he had done. The past of his love still haunted him, but still, that had been so long ago; even he had to admit she would have wanted him to move on passed her and be happy.

Val had to admit to the shock that was rising to her face in a blush. She had taken the asprin from the others hand and put it in her mouth when Raco began to speak. It had sounded like everything he had said before, but when he mentioned he enjoyed it… she found herself choking on the powder. Her blush turned vibrant as she attempted to calm her shakiness, and swallow the damn pills. It was then that a round of giggles burst through her lips and seemed to take a weight off of her chest. She turned her head so that she could bury it back into his chest while shaking with laughter.
It was the fact that something that simple had come out of the blue that made her fall to the hysterical laughter and it was her awkwardness that continued the giggles. When she finally was able to stop she looked up through both of their hair to see his face, noticing for the first time that the blade had cut both ways. That made the Manx sober much quicker than anything else would have been able to. "I..." She began, but didn't seem to be able to find the words to accompany the beginning of her statement. "Im glad." She whispered, unable to think of anything else to berid the confusion that had stumbled over her brain. What exactly had happened to the other? She desperately wished to know, but knew how impolite it would be to ask.

Raco blinked at Val as she fell into her fit of laughter...a little worried that she was laughing at him for what he had said, for his possible stupidity. But when she confirmed her own happiness he relaxed a little. Maybe this really ad done Val some good, as well as himself. His ear flickered as a sound trust him, a sound he knew all to well.
Turning to Val he kept his voice low. "Quickly get yourself dressed, Youko is headed this way. There's no way you'll be able to get out of here without him noticing." Raco scrambled for his own clothes ripping the covers off of caring less if Val say, hell they'd already slept together, wasn't anything left to hid.
