Hi, MiwSheri. 3nodding I'm a history nerd too.
Once when one of my friends asked me to tell a funny story, I told them the story of Pope Jean.

You know you're a history nerd when...
- You laugh at people who don't know obscure historical people and events
- You can guess a certain year from a random event ( I did this with the question "A UFO may or may not have landed..." I buzzed in with the correct answer of "1947")
- You had every US president memorized in order since you were 6 years old
- You play basketball as obscure Presidents and other historical figures (me and my friends did this once. I was James Madison)
- You use Legos to re-enact historical events with obscure figures
- You can laugh harder than any one at historical anacrhonisms
All of these apply to me.

This was discovered by her giving birth during a sermon or something of that manner. She was promptly executed. It's said this all happened in the 11th or 12th century, as I recall. It's probably just a medieval legend according to many historians, but it's always amused me endlessly. 3nodding Not a very long legend.

You make up funny rhymes to go along with history...things that help you remember things.
Such as...
Nanjing=NANKING
(This is more of a personal joke towards myself)
((Which sorta defeats the purpose of this post in general))

I know it when you stop in the middle of the road to try and guess the ages of old buildings.
...when you argue with tour guides because their information is inacurate.
...when you get the tour guide fired.
...when your history teacher asks you something she doesn't know.
(All of the above have happened, but not all to me. The tour guide stuff happened with my old neighbour.)

When your're the historical encylopedia for your friends homework.

I think a tribble would be a cool pet. ONE tribble. Which isn't possible.) You could neuter it, somehow... You know your a nerd when ... You read Machiavelli's "The Prince" for fun ... You like antiques so much you have to wipe the drool off them after you've looked at them.
