Jasmine--Rayne I get the impression that gaia really doesn't care about anything other than the money nowadays... There are all these scamms and they used to be a community that cared about its users. Now all it cares about it the money they bring in. So my question is what happened to make it this way? Simple Gaia has reached a point where they have ridiculous amounts of money and since they have that money and lots of it rolling in as we speak why should they care about the users so what if they lose 15000 in the time it took for those people to quit their bank account just got larger and 10000 joined gaia 5000 of those people are willing to buy lots of cash and collectibles to get on a fast track to money and Gaia just made more money regardless of the fact 15000 are gone so why should they care logically it is wrong and sick, but it is life and business as long as their pockets stay fat they aren't gonna do a damn thing Im waiting for the next sponsor actually...

the donut of shame myako_kaito Sometimes I feel as if there were no mods at all. Take towns for example. If you go to Directory and take a look at "Recent Topics", you get a feeling you are reading a porn catalog. Everything is only "cyber here", "hot gay sex", "under 16" etc. Is there even a mod controlling this? i don't think they have town mods, they should though Well, that explains it, doesn´t it? Why do we even have towns if no one checks how things are going in there? I saw so many scriptors, hacking and phishing attempts, "ghosts", "statues"... and gaia still has no mods at least trying to control it? neutral

Mogar_The_Destroyer A lot of the stuff that gets reported takes a while to have anything done about it for two reasons. 1. There arent all that many mods in the grand scheme of things. (Especially with the way the sites growing.) 2. The sheer ammount of reports they have coming in take a while to get through, this site has many users and that ammounts to a heck of a lot of reports every day with only a limited number of mods to deal with them. This in my opinion is why Gaia is pushing to recruit more, as the site grows so must the moderation team. As for the bias? Well...I can understand why mods, especially seasoned ones, would be put off intervening in some cases. Sometimes you get trolls who will go out of their way to poke holes in your decisions to try to make you look like the bad guy, to make it look like you are mis-using your powers. (This happens more often than you would think.) *Edit* Please excuse any spelling/grammar mistakes, it's late here and I have dyslexia. *Edit number 2* I'm also not trying to start any arguements here, my reason for posting this was to try to reassure you all that there are atleast some of us out there who are trying our butts off to make this site a better place, myself included.
Mogar has made some excellent observations. Mogar, we thank you, and others like you, who do give a damn. =)
