C'mon you guys. Yea, St. Anger blows. But do you really think that even if Metallica gets this petition that they are going to listen to the people? Rob is an amazing bassist and they aren't just gonna let him go. I haven't heard Fight Fire with Fire played that fast since the days of Cliff. If you've seen Some Kind of Monster, his audition was flawless. He just went in there and played his heart out. Whiplash was amazing. I closed my eyes and almost thought that Cliff was back on bass.
And since when is his name "Bob"? It's Robert Trujilio folks.

Robert Trujilo = Bassist. Bob Rock = Manager (I think) or atleast someone who helped them with St Anger and a few of the previous albums.

Well then... that kinda sends my statement all to hell. lol I dunno, I remember seeing that name and bassist right next to each other, too lazy to find it though.
Whatever you guys, Metallica doesn't need to be "saved". Just because there new stuff doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean it sucks. That's your opinion. I've spoken my opinion, I think the album sucks, but I'm not about to go and try to make decisions for the band. It's pointless.

Bob Rock brought around the black album. ok, fine. But still thats not there fault-point. The three things that contributed to there down grade are
One - cliff burton died. They still made ride the lightning and master of puppets before dave left
two dave mustain was kicked out of the band. he is a great thrash guitarist. kirks a good one guitarist, but doesnt fit metallica's attitude
and three - The singing. What the ******** happend to james' singing? it was a crazy a**, perfect for thrash metal shriek. and it got pogressivly worse when they got older...

RIP Cliff Burton; one of the best bassists ever. 2. Mustain = Not Metallica. 3. He threw out his voice on So What!, since then, I think its because he doesnt want to risk it again.

Maybe cut it up... and divide the parts in the golden gate bridge.

I just want them to find themselves a new singer. but thats the least of there worries. and he sounds NOTHING like when he sung on kill em all or ride the lightning after that his singing crumbled. because his voice was thrown out.
