Demion's experience with females was severely limited. While his sister was obviously very much a girl at the same time she so wasn't. While he was about as protective of her as their father was, that didn't stop her from kicking his butt from time to time. So in his mind Aislinn didn't really count. And while he loved and adored his mom, she was his mom, end of story.
So if he found himself watching the other raptor with interest, and therefore slightly distracted, he certainly wasn't to blame at this point. It was when he noticed her grin that he blinked quizzically for a moment before actually paying attention. Yes he could hear the faint sounds of the hounds ahead. The prospect of a hunt and food served as reminder to his priorities, and with a final good look he motioned for the other to veer off wide to the left while he moved to do the exact opposite. A simple yet effective maneuver that would hopefully work and trap the group in between them. It was impractical to aim for catching all of them, but they'd snag as many as they could.

Following his motion Seika went off to the left in what she could figure up as a pincher trap least it was seeming to be that way. She had seen her mother, Keahi, and her father, Chaos, do that a few times when she and her siblings where younger. Her, Taima, Arashi, Eron, and Yanisin always watched their parents hunting skills closely for when they left home. Seika missed her siblings and hoped they were doing well with their lives.
Shaking her head slightly of the past she put her mind to the task at hand right now, Catching food! Watching the pack of hounds she waited for the male to make a move. While she waited her mind traveled back to how the male looked and moved. He was built nicely, very well toned, He seemed very fast which she didn't mind. Just a lot of things she liked she took note of quietly in her mind.

It was a strange thing. After the past few months of solo hunting, to suddenly have someone else there. Yet it was a familiar feeling, something he could easily sink back into after spending time alone. He had to remind himself though that this could possibly be a one time thing, and yet he hoped that maybe not. Perhaps he'd go out there and do his thing, she'd go out there and do her own, and maybe they could get to know each other over dinner.
Demion was never much of an optimist, but that never stopped him from hoping. This whole 'standing on your own' thing was getting a little lonely.
Taking a breath to center and focus himself, he peered through the brush eying what would be his first target. They hadn't settled on any form of signal or anything so they'd have to play this one by ear.
Backing up to give himself some space he quickly shot forward, leaping into the air as he came into his prey's view. His landing was rough, landing right on top of his target and all he had to do was lean with momentum and brace his claws against the dog's neck. Gravity did the rest and the beast's neck snapped easily under the weight. Paying the corpse little heed for them moment he took a second to reorient himself when he was suddenly attacked.
Instincts saved him and he quickly ducked down, the dog sailing by over head and even as it snapped at him, got nothing but fur. Whirling on his new target he lashed out.
The fight was on.

The minute the male jumped out Seika followed after his actions eyes sharp on her prey. Chasing down the hound step for step finally her sharp claws buried into the flesh and bone of its back and hip tripping it causing it to fall over.
Yelping in pain the hound snapped and barked at the creature pinning it to the ground. A cloud of dirt and grass was flying all around as the hound fought to break free. Its feeble fight for its life was pretty much just instinct to thrive and get away from its attacker. Its whimpers and howls were answered by a member of the pack jumping over to bite at the creatures feet avoiding those razor claws that would surely mean death if lashed at with.
Blood stained her grey muzzle as she flicked her head around and grabbed up the hound attacking her feet with the slightest effort. Dropping the dead hound next to her feet she dug into the one she held tightly in her claws before tearing into the held hound adding more blood to her already drying bloody colored maw. She enjoyed the feeling still running through her body the thrill of hunting in a group again. It was a warm and fuzzy feeling and she didn't want to lose the feeling, but she didn't want to pressure the male into anything he might not want.
