“I don’t get it…” A soft huff soon came after the words. Long white tendrils were playfully tossed aside with her free hand as the left one was holding a rather large book with a red leather bind to it. A girl in a library. A normal scene in your everyday library except the part where she was sitting on the table’s edge. Not very many libraries would accept sitting on the tables as part of the relaxing setting that Tegan claimed it to be. Book of all sizes and hues were surrounding her. Towering on top of one another. Thrown at the very edge of the rather large table she was sitting at; so close to falling off. Tegan had, yet again, made a worthy mess of the library, at least in her area alone. For now, the rest of the shelves were safe and stood erect as they always had been. Her right hand dropped from the subconscious movement of her finger tips twirling one of her long strands as her left hand brought her right hand to reach up and stroke a rather solid piece of jewelry that was carefully encased into a brooch. A piece of jewelry that she wore on a pin and always to her left on her shirt, or dress. A worthy black collar that held a special and somewhat glowing red orb in the middle of it. Surrounded by smaller and mocking red jewels only one, the larger one at the top, truly held any significance and value.
Tegan placed the book down along her lap, snuggling it comfortably into the gripping fabrics of her long black dress, as she threw her arms behind her and arched her back for a quick stretch. A few pops later, from her amazingly out of lined spine, gave her permission to continue her research. Another normal scene in the library except the being sitting on the table was a bit unusual. The lack of pigment was not so uncommon in mortals but in a mortal and Elvin hybrid it was. Her hair was piercing white. Those ever so slanted eyes shone with a deep and intensified red, matching the red hue along her ears, but the rest of her skin was the normal Caucasian hue that came from her mother, or from what she was told of. Sold off at youth into a camp. A sad story of many but it wouldn’t take long for her to find what mortal’s refer to a life changing action of another as; a Savior. Her Mistress. Plucked her out of the camp at a young age. Tegan’s been here ever since but it was only recently, within the past five years, that she found out why she was chosen.
“Let’s try this again.” Her left hand came up to rub the bridge of her nose while her right hand headed for it’s imaginary and comforting place in mid air. A quick lock of her wrist and a wiggle with her finger tips left the mage-like being to lower her left hand from her nose and turn back to the towering collection of books behind her. A few soft mumbling words later left the books to fly off in different directions, placing each individual book back in it’s dedicated and appropriate spot in the vast library. The corner of her lips curled as she smirked as her success. “Perfect…”
Unfortunately, the celebration of her levitation was cut short as two familiar voices, and one not so familiar to her, echoed around her. “We have guest…” Her voice lowered in fear that it to might be heard while it took on a more cynical tone. Tegan held in her expression of joy and quietly hopped down off the table. Landing with out a sound, it was one of her specialties; to remain “ninja like” as Eve had put it so many times. Tegan quickly lifted her left hand and waved it around above her form. Inch by inch her body began to transform. Shrinking and growing parts that would appear to be non-mortal. Four legs lowering. Reshaping her back. A…a tail? Yes, she took on her infamous white wolf form. A small tipping of red along her ears and the still embedded brooch along her chest. Oh everything was so much more fun in the wolf form. The scents. The prediction of what people were truly feeling and thinking. It was perfect. Of course, all of these talents were just recently discovered five years ago. This alone was the reason her Mistress sough her out, plucking her from the ‘normal’ looking choices. A soft giggle escaped her muzzle as she took off down the isles. Coming in front of Merrlin, Eve, and the new guest, the white wolf came to an abrupt halt before she started her playful little show. A snarl and growl here. Ferocious snapping and baring teeth. Yes! This was to much fun! It was perfect!

((Oh good, poor Segan has been neglected recently. I was hoping to give him his own event in the near future.
Also, Tinian, I've got to send you a PM here filling you in on some of the finer undercurrents of what's going on in the mansion. The Dag'Sheera plotline is pretty well outlined here, but there's a much bigger one moving behind the scenes that you will want to know about.))

Oldron had dutifully accepted the collars Eve had been making for them moments before being ushered out of the kitchen. He held them in his spare hand as he followed Merlin along the winding corridors and Segan as always kept close behind. He wasn't sure that he would remember all of the different passages though he reassured himself that in time they would be like second nature to him - he had after all only been in the mansion for a short amount of time. As soon as he was allowed to explore for himself he would learn from his mistakes. Oldron also had faith in Segan's sense of direction and smell to see him along safely. His eyes accustomed to the gloom squinted as they tried to protect them from the light that was given off by the lamp as they passed. Oldron's head turned from side to side, surveying the large bookshelves as they passed. He had never seen a library so big. In his village knowledge was mainly passed on from teacher to pupil by stories or practical experience with only that which must never be lost ever being written down. Though he had seen a few libraries on his travels through the university cities of his world but they did not compare to what he saw now. He stood at this moment, in front of the glowing embers of the fire place, temporarily forgotten collars still in hand, observing the happenings of the room.
Segan followed his friend along at a close distance. Although he would not get lost, as he would be able to follow his scent or worse comes to the worse call after him, he felt comforted knowing that he was not that far away. When in the library, Segan sat back on his hind legs at Oldron's side and looked about the room. His dark grey tail wrapped about his lighter feet. His ears twitched then his head snapped about to face a corner of the room. The hair on the back of his neck bristled up but he held his ground. He watched as the female wolf made a show of herself. He raised an eyebrow giving her a questioning look that could be read "What are you doing?" Her display wasn't so much as scaring him but highly irritating him. She will not hurt you He told Oldron who had brought up his dark wooden staff ready to protect himself.

((I'll leave Tinian to RP with Segan for a time...))
If Oldron stood long enough and stared, he would eventually notice that the library, dark though it seemed, was that way only because the lamps were kept darkened...magical things they were, orbs hovering in brackets, although in this section of the House all the brackets were nearly identical, simple floral designs with runes etched on them, presumably providing some form of navigational system. The place smelled dry, faintly musty, with a definite tang of dust in the air, after all, it would take an army of maids to dust every corner of every bookshelf regularly, and so far the House seemed very lightly staffed.
Perhaps Oldron would wander for a time, perhaps he would investigate the card cabinet, but eventually he might just grow bored enough to investigate and see what perks came with the collar he'd been given. And the first one would appear nearly instantaneously.
Welcome to the House, Oldron and Segan, druids of ___ (Can't remember if he gave his village's name or not and the thread recap isn't showing). One moment please...
Like Merlin, this was a voice in the mind, but this one was soft and feminine, calling to mind an avatar of a translucent, ghost-like white woman in long, translucently glowing robes and veil. She flickered into visibility during the time she spoke, but then vanished again. For a moment, a bright yellow thought, indistinct and faint, drifted across his mind...something of a greeting, perhaps, although doubtless Segan would have interpreted it as a form of sniffing.
Right on the heels of that, came a dark and vivid green persona, swirling up into existence as the voice began to form the outline of a man in a butler's livery...not the House colors, or at least not the current House's colors, an emerald vest and dark brown waistcoat over hunter trousers and gray boots. I can help you navigate the library if you need. What sort of text or information are you looking for? After speaking, the mental image, a thought of an idea merely, faded away slightly but remained as an outline, as though indicating the continued presence there, paying attention but not intruding.
Oldron would also be able to feel Merlin behind him, now, although Merlin's representation, if he chose to send a mental poke at it, would resonate not as the black panther he might expect...since that had been the image Merlin had chosen to appear as...but as something that might, faintly, have been some sort of wolf. It was vague, and the edges of the almost-thought rippled indistinctly, with only a gray-blue shape of some creature with roughly the same build as a wolf in its center. The face was too long, and flat, the neck too arched, the shoulders too heavy, and the hips too light...and of course no wolf had ever born horns, long and straight as an antelope's, slightly arched backwards, with a smoothly ribbed texture and a glossy black finish.
In response to the poke, if one had been made, Merlin's voice would wander into his mind, sharpening the image into a creature not unlike a small, wingless dragon with a sharp, beak-like muzzle and nimble, long-fingered hands with heavy calluses on the knuckles...wearing the same spectacles the panther had donned... Yes, this is what I truly look like. Don't stare, I know you're not that rude. A moment later, almost as an explanation, Hiding our form is not always intentional or meant as disrespect. It is easier to circumvent the curse that hides us from sight and memory by appearing as something else, than it is to do as the Mistress and Eve do and repeal it entirely.
At this point, Oldron had three main options...ask the vaguely dark-green voice for help with the library, go through the card catalog on his own, or go exploring. With his connection to the House through the collar established, getting lost was a great deal less of a hazard, and he might have observed, at the darkened end of the library, a much larger and more formal door than the one that led through the dining hall to the kitchen. If he had a good sense of direction and space, he might postulate that the larger door led to the atrium or someplace near that area.

Another snarl. Another curled lip exhibiting the sharp and white teeth below the lifted gum came out to play once again. A settled act as the white wolf began to encircle her ‘victim’. Moving around in a sly and slow circle, or to the best of one’s ability as she tried not to hit any of the shelving units with her tail. The tip of the white nose sprung up into action, quivering back once she barked out. A vicious bark that soon came to an end about the same time one of her red tipped ears jumped back behind her as if someone unseen was standing there. Behind her. The growling stopped as her head snapped back. A mere second of silence before her head snapped back to the man standing in front of her. A low whimper echoed out from her muzzle before her head lowered. A message from Merlin, just one of many, telling her to behave herself.
A slight mortal chuckle escaped soon after from this wolf like beast as she lifted her head and the transformation began. The four legs slowly morphed back into distinguishable arms and legs. The head diminished until the features of a beautiful, yet albino, woman took form. Soon, a pair of red eyes shot his way and stared at him for a moment as if she were using her own mind to communicate with someone else. A slight head tilt from time to time before a soft smile took place. “Very well. But it was still funny!” A playful voice escaped this being. Albino in all formed, female of course, except the tips of her ears. Elvin in nature but they held a red tip to them, just as the wolf form had. Her eyes, were a stunning shade of red, perhaps comparable to a shiny crimson, and slanted just a bit.
Along her lips played a smile as she crossed her arms over her chest. A long dark blue dress covered her form but was fitting enough to show off how hard she did work for her nice frame. A quick shake of her head gave off the long strands of white hair as she turned back to the being standing in front of her. “Sorry about that. We rarely get guest here and I have to find some way to have fun. Merlin really doesn’t like it when I chase him around in the wolf form. I mean, sure, sometimes he humors me but it’s really hard to get him to do it!” Tegan paused for a moment. If anything, and at this point, it would show the Elfin mage was only a mere twenty-three years of age and she had a playful spirit. Of course there was always her eagerness to learn new things but that would show in due time. Quickly, Tegan shook her head and stepped forward. “Sorry for the rude manners! I’m Tegan. Oh! How do you say it? ‘Tegan from the land of…’…Hmmm. I really don’t know where I’m from so you can just call me Tegan!” The friendly Elfin mage stepped forward again and held out her hand to be shook.

((I'm just going to assume the collars are on now. No I didn't say. I think they will be from Léhor [pronounced lay-hor]))
Oldron glanced about the library, amazed at the difference the collar made. Though still slightly uncomfortable he appreciated the amount it allowed him to see and interact with the other beings and objects in the house. On Segan's instruction he lowered his staff and ignored the female wolf concentrating on the other beings that greeted him. Speaking to the green spoken man I am looking for the old text of magic He began unsure of how he was going to describe a book he had never seen before I am wishing to discover more about the magics contained within this house he hoped that the description he gave would do. Even if this figure, which he assumed to be the librarian, could give him a few books it would be a start. He hoped that a book within this library would be able to shed light on the 'formal' magic of which Eve and Merlin had been discussing and perhaps he would be able to use it. The magic of the Druid race was an ancient one and maybe, just maybe, he would be able to make some sense of it all.
With the collar on, Segan found that he could fully understand the human speech that came from the wolf-elf-girl. After a few yips, growls and snorts he managed to get a few words out himself "Tegan. Sounds a lot like Segan. That is me." The words were deep and gravelly, like they were more growled than spoken. It sounded odd, especially to Segan who had only spoken in wolf to Oldron. The druid was able to translate in his mind into the human common tongue. The grey wolf was also disgusted with the apparent simplicity with which he spoke, growling at himself in disdain. He looked about to see if Oldron had noticed but the Druid had gone, following the librarian. He looked back at the albino and then at her outstretched hand - he didn't understand what it was for.

The librarian's image drifted up to the higher levels of the library first, riffling among the books there with a faint, elusive sound of fluttering pages, before drifting back down and heading towards one of the darkened back stairs of the library. Follow me, please. All of the House's books on magic are regulated to the upper shelves. Few here have use for tricks of mana when the Mistress writes out realities as she pleases. For a moment, the voice was regretful, as though having said too much, but it led Oldron up a winding staircase hidden in the corner anyway, and along one of the upper balconies, indicating a broad spectrum of the filled shelves. We have quite a collection still, although most of it predates the Mistress's occupation. She is not fond of magic or the way she reacts to it. The library's collection-form is the only one of the House's original enchantments remaining now. The Omnidoor is also functional, but it is kept deactivated most of the time. Omnidoor, the voice added, feeling Oldron's confusion. A door which opens to all places. It is an Artifact, one of twenty-five created by the most powerful hellion dimension masters at the close of the Pandimensional Wars, when the Angelics erected the dimensional barriers around the infernal realms, attempting to forever seal them off from the mortal worlds, where so many of the demon armies that fought against the angelics had come from. The idea was that, by isolating the demons in an incliment environment like Hell, they would eventually be overcome by their own home and die out. Knowing that this would indeed happen, eventually, without an outside source of supplies with which to bolster this area's meager natural resources, the dimension masters sacrificed themselves to create indestructable doors which could be opened into outside dimensions. Oh, no, the voice chortled laughingly. I see I have used the wrong words. The dimension masters did not go entirely willingly to their fates. The doors could not have been forged without their partial co-operation, but they also could not be made without the complete annihilation of their inventors. Thus the art of dimension mastery was lost forever, but as the doors are presumed indestructible, no-one cares much to recover the lost art. The limited number of doors restricts how many Houses can have unfettered access to the outside world, and the resources in it, thus restricting the flow of wealth in Hell and keeping only a privileged few in conditions you or I would consider livable. There was another moment's pause, and then the comment, seemingly off-handed, although clearly the mention was a deliberate attempt at warning Oldron not to grow entirely too curious about his host and her dislike of magic.... The Mistress, although she does not care to increase the rank of her House, is the only known creature of any race or origin, including eldritch gods, capable of destroying an Omnidoor. This is why this House stands unchallenged amid a sea of blood-hungry demons with only a small handfull of warriors to protect it, and any visitor who pleases may find entry...but those who learn too much are, like Dag'sheera, prevented from exiting until a means is found to ensure their disposal.

Tegan, who was now in her upright and normal Elfin form, gave her head a playful little shake while withdrawing her hand. “Silly, I know. Eve said that Gabs told her it’s what people from another world do. A hand shake of sorts.” She paused and shrugged. “Personally, I don’t get it. The touching and the closeness.” Again, her words fell quite, but never for to long given her playful nature and her careless self, which was to blame for her happiness. “Sorry about growling at you and you…friend?” She ended the sentence with a question. Was the other man possibly this one’s master? Yes, she knew all about having someone over her own head that the thought of someone being included in the servitude of another really didn’t surprise her but the inquisitive part did seem slightly rude.
“So, what brings you to our humble abode? I don’t believe I’ve seen you here before!” She continued while looking around at her own attire. A perfect and yet simple attire that addressed her as a mage and still allowed it’s complexity created by the fabric to return after her morphing. Even her beloved broche was there. Of course the shining red jewel would be present as well. Yes, she still wore a collar of some sorts. Black in hue but plain when the jewel was removed and placed into her little broche. She always had such a fascination with pretty things and found the broche to be quite lady like and elegant in every sense. Which is why the Mistress of the House led her jewel to remain in such a setting.
Quickly, Tegan turned to her side and began to dig through her left pocket. “Where are they!” She interrupted the silence just momentarily before she continued. “Being an ambidextrous can be so confusing! Here they are!” With that said, she pulled her hand out of her other pocket to reveal a pair of long and matching red earrings. Carefully, and yet still with great speed, she pressed the hooking through her ear holes at the bottom of her elongated and red ears. The earrings were a bit darker in the color, red, but managed to be easily separated from her skin. “There!” She smiled and gave her head a shake once both ears were bedazzled enough. A small ringing from the red jewelry hitting the others clanged out. How she loved that sound! A second later she turned back to her companion and spoke. “We should hurry and catch up!” She began to take her own path to meet up with the others but continued to speak. “Have you seen Merlin or Eve yet?”

((assuming we are catching up with Oldron? Doing Segan now and then shall post for Oldron when I can grab another moment))
Segan found it slightly difficult to follow the now elven in form girl's words. They seemed to flow from her in a continuous stream. Like a hyperactive child she had so many questions. He decided the best thing to do was to wait until there was a gap long enough for him to respond - besides, he was still getting used to speaking. He began to stroll beside the shelves along the same path that Oldron had taken, his scent still clearly found. "Oldron is my friend" he began "in Léhor young children can talk to all animals and have no connection to any one more than another. As they grow, both the children and animals, they make connections until about the time they undergo what the Druids call puberty they are linked with one of us. Oldron is linked to me as much as I to him. Others have other wolves and even other animals such as snakes, eagles, frogs, cats and many more." He paused for a moment. Although he was used to howling and the like to communicate to others of his kind 'talking' was much more difficult, especially when trying to construct proper sentances. "We are here, sent on a mission by our village elders. Oldron knows more of the details than I do." He plodded along steady, looking every now and again at the girl to whom he was talking. "Yes. Yes, we have met both of those people - Merlin and Eve. Merlin seems to be nice. Eve, do forgive me but I do not want to sound rude, takes me a while understand what she is talking about. Oldron can understand but I can only grab the odd word here and there - like collar."
Segan then grew silent. He had reminded himself of the collar which he wore about his neck. He still wasn't sure about them but if it meant that he was safer from attack that he was without it he supposed that it would be better for him to do so.
