What I would enjoy would be a nice Shadowrun RP. Or a BESM game, that'd also be really cool. Or Star Wars! heart

BESM has the easiest character build of the three in my opinion, and suits the atmosphere I detect from the rping I read here...and it's the one most likely to have nekos due to it's anime roots. Anyway I'm agreeable to any, I hear shadowrun is great but it's impossible to find anyone to run it where I live...and everyone here has a different opinion of which Starwars system is better, some like the D20 system and others do not. I personally think a good group and a decent story can make up for alot in a game, regardless of the ruleset used.

Or Star Wars! heart You could always run a Shadowrun game using BESM rules, if you really wanted to. Or, since you insist on trying to turn me into a magical girl, how about you start a Sailor Moon/Tokyo Mew Mew type of game, featuring a team of Magical Cat Girls fighting against the Ultimate Evil? I'd enjoy playing a villain named after a gemstone trying to take over the world with cheesy rubber-suit monsters, now that I think of it! twisted

I personally think a good group and a decent story can make up for alot in a game, regardless of the ruleset used. Well I played both. The new system is STILL D20. It's just takes stuff from from 3.5 and some stuff from 4.0 and it's own stuff. It actually makes a little MORE sense. The biggest thing they changed was Force stuff. "Oh look at me I hurt myself to use The Force! Oh if I'm low on HP I better not use The Force or I might start dying!". Also what Force Powers you had were based on what class you had, which opened up different tiers of powers. On the new version it's based on a feat which gives you bonus force powers equal to your wisdom score. The classes are a little different as well. Oh and Dex isn't overpowered anymore for using Lightsabers. In the old version you could get a bonus to damage equal to your dex bonus x3. Strength only gets to 2x or something, that or you just didn't get a bonus to hit unlike dex. BESM is a pretty easy character generation. The harder part is just going through the different options to make a character. Also the dice rolling is a lot easier as well. I know I have a copy for download on the internet...SOMEWHERE. ^^; So...who's interested in doing a BESM Nekobito Sailor Moon like RP?

I know that Kiti-cat would, and like I said in PMs, I'll be the lead villain for "first season" at the very least. How about we start it the way that SMoon did--with only a couple of "Senshi" and a low-power lieutenant menacing the heroes to start with? Neko-Tokyo, here we come!

I am game for just about anything, but BESM "neko moon" would be fun and I think we have a diverse enough group that you wouldn't have to look to hard for members to fill out both the protagonists and antagonists.

So...Eliza...you're going to be a Sailor Neko...right? ninja Also if we're going to do this Official like...how many points do we get? Do we have to spend anything on skills? You know...stuff like that. I want us to flesh out the rules for Character Creation.

How about we start out at about the same power level as first season of the anime or the live-action version? And on the subject, who's taking what part on the team? Sailor Moon was based on those "Power Rangers"-type shows, with the stereotypical five-person party of: 1) The Leader 2) The Moody Rebel 3) The geek/nerd/brain 4) The big, strong one 5) The babe In Sailor Moon, these roles are: Leader: Usagi/Sailor Moon Rebel: Rei/Sailor Mars Nerd: Ami/Sailor Mercury Strong one: Makoto/Sailor Jupiter Babe: Minako/Sailor Venus Plus, there's the mascot/advisor, always a cute animal or animated plushie or something... (eg. Artemis & Luna, Kero, etc.). I say that since this is Aya-chan's idea, we make her the team leader? And I wanna be the rebel of the team, so I can tease her good-naturedly! (Maybe my character can be her adopted sister or something, so we have a little "sibling rivalry" with each other?)

I play a pretty good geek(I play the role everyday)...but I will wait and see how things go. I will take the side that needs an extra member so we get semi-balanced sides XD

So, it's looking like: Neko Senshi Leader: Ayaname Rei (this was partly her idea, after all...) Rebel: Kitirena (why am I not surprised?) Brain: Elzingaiv Strong One: Babe:
Black Magic Kingdom "Queen Beryl": Darkstarr (of course! This was my idea too!) "Jadeite:" (TBA) "Nephrite:" "Zoicite:" "Kunzite:"
Man, we really need to get this game started! I can't wait to get you Neko Senshi and suck your energy out and feed it to our evil leader, Demon Queen Akumi! All hail evil, nya ha ha!

We could probably do this if we had a few opposing character type people...The sailor scouts didn't start out together on the show, if folks want to join later we could easily "find" a new neko senshi cast member who was dormant. Maybe generate a few npc monsters and throw us against them in a test run of the system...but I guess we need to make characters first, rather than just general descriptions of ourselves, I was getting ahead of myself razz

So I am looking at my BESM 3rd edit pdf and Step 1 of character creation is "GM Discussion." I take awhile to produce a character in a game, I'm not the worst in my group...but I'm pretty indecisive while doing my point build. So soon as someone gives me a point build and any additional limits needed I need to start my character creation. Aya-sama is mod in teh roleplay (I think so anyways) and Dark kinda got the ball rolling with this (Aided by aya-sama) so I am unsure who is the "GM." Maybe I'm overthinking this and we are doing more of a democratically approved point build and play kinda thing. Let me know and I will do my best...I'm off to bed.

Well right now me and Dark just have a very basic concept. First Dark has to go through BESM 3rd to see if he wants to run that, or 2nd edition. Then we have to discuss power limits and any Restrictions or Bans to the Powers List. Because in 2nd edition certain powers were just broken. Like Magic costs 2 Gives 10. Combat Mastery costs 2 worth 30 points in stats, but can ONLY be used FOR COMBAT, not skills or attack powers. Still super broken. Which basically meant EVERYONE had to take these powers, or be really sucky.

Aya-chan's the GM, I'm just the lead villain and bouncing some ideas off her. Far as I'm concerned, she's the one with final say on character approval, not me.

Well if I am the GM I need to study up more on BESM. It's been too long since I started to go through it. An we're going to use 3rd edition then. Heh heh heh.
Also if anyone wants to join, please start reading BESM 3rd to get an idea of how to build a character, and look at the Magical Girl template if you want to be a Sailor Neko. If you're a villain then just look at the other templates, and read about the different powers. That goes for both sides ^_^;
The templates will be a good starting guide. Using it to get a basic idea of what you might want to create, and what you want to keep or throw away from the template. ^^;
