Sakura was having her usual walk around the city before she went to the park. When she had just reached the park the ground began to shake. Another earthquake, this getting rather annoying this is the fourth time today since I've been outside. She thought as she moved somewhere a little safer.

Eris sat in her tree and smiled with the satisfied air of one who knows her job has been well done. "I'm causing those poor humans so much grief," she said quietly, watching a group of nervous middle-aged women pass by her, gossiping about the recent natural, or perhaps unnatural, disasters. This was what she was born to do. Small tricks with pebbles had stopped amusing her long ago, but it had taken her this long to realize how much fun it was to sneak over to the Human World and make some trouble. The earthquakes that she caused varied in size, but she sent them out frequently, and loved to have a little look at her handiwork every now and then. She pointed at the ground a little way away and the ground below her started to shake, ever so slightly. The women gossiping hurried on, murmuring about how much they would like to know what was going on.

Sakura came out when it was over and went to the park again and sat down on a bench. sigh. What's with all of these earthquakes and things? I wonder if Koenma knows? I wonder if he even remembers me? It's been a long time since he's sent me on a mission. She thought as she looked up at the sky.

Yusuke wasn't ready for the next earthquake,"Darn it!What's causing all this?!"Yusuke was up on his feet trying to run towards the center of the earthquake...The source...he thought warily,but all he saw was a girl sitting in a tree,"You'd better get down from there,"sneered Yusuke."I don't think anyone's gonna save you if you fall off during the next earthquake...Yusuke stomped off clearly frustrated,Koenma was blowing his stacks about this one,just because It isn't natural...

Eris paused, watching Yusuke go, then chuckled. With the grace and agility of a cat, she jumped from the tree branch, performing a flip in midair to land on her feet. Running to catch up with the detective, she asked brightly, "What's the matter, sir? You seem a little bit tense." As if she didn't know. The young man she walked next to was the spirit detective Yusuke Urameshi, and he was frustrated, probably by all of her earthquakes. Maybe she'd send another one to him when they parted company. If only she could set some birds on him too. He didn't look like the type to like having a flock of birds attacking his hair.

Yusuke glared at the girl,"Listen Kiddie I'm not in the mood for this..."He growled,just what he needed;some kid bothering him to the brink of destruction.He walked more briskly now,he was intent on finding the others on his team...The girl's presence gave him unease,he wondered why she wouldn't just leave him to wallow in his terrible disposition...He shoved his hands in his pockets angrily....They still hadn't gotten anywhere in this case...All the natural disasters were striking the nation with an ominous force,there was destruction everywhere he looked,if he ever found who was causing this,he wouldn't swiftly behead them...He'd make them die slowly and painfully....In fact,he'd insist on doing the job personally...He once again sent a vicious glare over to the girl walking beside him...She seemed so smug and that bothered him alot...Yusuke muttered a few curses as he rounded the next corner...At least the earthquakes seemed to have stopped for the time being...He had always despised earthquakes...But now he hated them even more...Yusuke let out a sigh,making sure the girl at his side didn't hear,where was everyone when he needed them?Yusuke should get a progress report to Koenma but the thought of meeting up with the grumpy prince of spirit world was not appealing...At all...King Yama was in a rage,he wanted to catch the culprit behind this immediately...Too bad just about every demon in all the worlds knows exactly who I am and what I look like,He thought glancing at the girl haughtily.Yusuke looked at part of the side walk that had been pretty much destroyed by the earthquake,he went around it casually...Where should he look for the cause of this?Was it all right under his nose..?Most likely.He was probably right next to the demon without knowing it...He looked at the girl standing next to him and stifled some laughter,Sure...

Hiei felt the quake but just continued to nap in the tree he was in. Why should I bother? Its not as if this is going to affect me...I hope...I don't want to be bothered right now. he thinks to himself.

Yusuke felt the next earthquake too,he tried to look up in the trees to distract his stomach from the sick twists it was making.Instead,he saw a foot hanging lazily over the tree,he knew who's foot that was too...."Hiei....?"asked Yusuke looking up suspiciously.He should be yelling at Hiei for not helping him find the source at all!Koenma's gonna blow his stacks even more when he finds out no one else is doing a thing!Thought Yusuke with an ominous growl.
