PGSM is my favorite. But I guess it has to be.
I haven't watched any other anime than the American dubbed one and I haven't read the manga or seen the musical.
But PGSM is just so KAWAII. 8DD I just wanna jump into it and become one of the senshi.

I love all the forms for one reason or another but I have to say my favorite is the musicals. Its like condensed versions of the anime and manga with dramatic singing flair. <3

Where do you get the musicals/ where can you see them?

Youtube. It's in my post and in the Ballroom post I made. Go there and Click it and watch. There's several Musicals.

Yeah.

Look under username sailorwarsupreme. She (or he...not sure) has most them subtitled up for your viewing pleasure. heart

Hrm...I am not sure if this belongs here, so forgive me.

But I was wondering since so many people have not seen one form or another of Sailor Moon (be it Sera Myu, PGSM, or BSSM) maybe we should have a marathon or something. I am not sure what the things are called, but the things that let you watch something and chat at the same time? Or maybe pick a night and watch it all together (but of course on different screens) and discuss as things happen on screen?

Anybody know what I am talking about? sweatdrop

I love them all<3

I watched the anime first and fell instantly in love with it. I have the first 3 seasons recorded on VHS.

I started picking up the mangas and now I have them all.

I've seen some of the live action series and I think it looks really really good! I especially like the idea that in their normal forms their hair is normal colored..but when they transform their hair changes, it makes it more real life like =3

I like the anime the most, but at the same time- I think I would LOVE the anime if it wasn't edited so much :/

Agreed. Not to mention, if they had stuck more to Naoko's vision. I don't really like most of the stuff that appeared in the anime but not in the manga.

Other than Fiore, Ali, and En. Those aliens are coool. But even then, they dun really make sense. All the senshi are aliens...why do those ones look different? XD

But I really wish the anime had Sailor Lethe and Mnemosyne, Heavy Metal Papillon, and Phi and Chi.

i liked the anime the most but i found if you watched th american version and then the original Japanies uncut version you can tell where they have made some serious edits, one of the reasons i hate america they think they have to edit all the awsome animes and they come out lousy, i always try to find the original japanies versions they usually have way more XP

I like the Manga, then the Musicals (Sera Myu) and then the Live action. Anime doesn't rate anywhere really, it is the lowest of the low. =o

I've always liked the manga over the anime and live action. The story went smoother, and there were more characters.

I know I will probably be hated for saying this, but I much prefer the anime.
I loved Sailor Moon, until I read the manga a few years ago.

The anime focuses on all the characters, and gives characters other than Usagi character development and focus. When I read the manga, however, it focused obsessively on Usagi... it was very irritating to read, even though I was only 12 at the time. I also recall there being timeline errors in the manga, although that's really a minor reason as to why I couldn't stand the manga.

Having gotten back into Sailor Moon, I once again feel as though the anime has a lot of better aspects to it than the manga does... although quite frankly, I'd like to read a fan-translated version of the manga so that I can appreciate it for what it really was, without the terrible English names and such.

Those are good points... Another reason why I prefer (any) anime over the manga is that in the manga, it is very rushed: because it is a book with pictures, you cannot possibly get every little detail. However in the anime, you can have more time and spread things out a little bit so events are not so squished together. Does this make sense?

When I do not count this, I love them both equally (esp when some anime has those filler episodes that have nothing to do with the main story line!! arg!) xd
