sloth009 All of the section I just bolded is not true. There is no turning, no venom in our saliva, no powerful innate mind reading (there might be some like that, but I am currently unaware), and no paralysis. We are just like regular people, but with a few bonuses (slightly better brains and mildly improved phys. abilities for some) and drawbacks (all the negative side effects of what we have- the twoofing, the need for energies, etc) brought on by the vampirism.
Depends on who you talk to. Turning is possible, but it's with specific types of vampires. Namely by Inheritors and the Classical. Not by Sangs or Psi. There is no 'venom' to my knowledge, but turning can be done with exchange of bodily fluids. It does not happen over night, and sometimes takes months to complete.

Inheritors and Classicals? I don't believe I completely know the terms. Would you mind briefing me on them? And also, I would like to know the turning process, if you don't mind. I've only come across "turning is impossible" in my readings, so I'm interested in the possibility. Not for use, but just for something else to stick in my brain.

The theory is that those types of vampires who can change others are actually infecting them with a HIV-like retro-virus (which is said to be parasitic), that at times can change or alter DNA structure. This virus can be passed from through a bloodline as well.
Inheritors are those vampires who obtain their vampirism through a line, and therefore is genetic. Some Inheritors are said to be long lived and typically suffer more greatly with sensitivities.
Classicals are those vampires who were made vampire by another. Either by an Inheritor, or another Classical.

So, if I understand correctly, there are those that seemingly randomly become vampires and those who become vampires because of an inheritance. right? interesting.

Well you aren't looking hard enough, darling. I know for a fact there is not no information on the internet. A simple google search would have told you that.
Call all the bullshit you want, doesn't make me wrong. And sure as hell doesn't make you right.

He probably means the whole "They don't drink blood, so it's more like just energywork" thing.

Clearly you can't use google...
And I highly doubt you actually spent 6 hours on it, more like 1 search which sucked then convinced yourself there was nothing.
Isn't one of the rules "be open minded" unless it's totally stupid like claiming someone is Dracula. As far as I see, the inheritor thing isn't that unbelievable seeing as nobody can give the definative reason for the cause of vampirism, and we also can't tell if there are multiple reasons.
